- Hey guys welcome to todays video where Im going to look at the best and worst castle based levels from across the Super Mario Bros series, which was quite a big endeavor that was very interesting to make. I hope you've all enjoyed my videos lately and I hope yall like, comment and subscribe!

You forgot one. Odyssey does indeed have 2 Castle Levels- Ruined Kingdom and Bowser's Kingdom. Ruined Kingdom is pretty boring, but it has Castle features. And Bowser's Kingdom is a tribute to Ancient Japanese Palaces. I enjoyed this video, but I did want to bring that game up.

I can’t enjoy Mario games if it weren’t for the easy levels.

@@Skycrusher if you get mad that mario games are too easy, you aren't the target audience. NSMB's target audience is little timmy and old fans who get nostalgia. Many of these easy games also add an extra world that is difficult for fans like you, to keep all parties interested.

A favorite of mine that wasn’t mentioned was the world 2 bowser castle in new super Mario bros. I love how you go outside the castle then back inside for the boss fight and just the whole vibe of the level is amazing

In my oppinion 8-4 is the worst level of the game. At all the "Pick-a-path Level" are the worst, because of the randomness. Classic levels with more tougher jumps would be better in my oppinion, which is the same reason why i say, that Lost Levels isnt that bad as everybody says.

Yo, low key wondering here. Wario was introduce in land 2 correct? Waluigi in tennis? However doesn’t the witch battle from land look kind of like Waluigi? You think the design was loosely based on him? He is kind of magical… anyways that’s just a theory lol. Loving this Mario vids bud. I also didn’t know you could play as Luigi in this game haha. Kinda sparked the inspiration for this theory in the first place :)
Can only play as Luigi in Super Mario Land 2 DX … This ROM hack adds color, Luigi and bugfixes to the game.

My favorite castle levels will always be Wendy's Castle from NSMBW and Bowser's Castle from Yoshi's Island. NSMBW is such a fantastic game to me.
Ohhhhhhh you left out every Paper Mario which were the best final castle mario levels hands down.

For smg2, my least favourite castle level is Bowser Jr's boom bunker as it just feels very strange and inconsistent. You start with the remains of mega hammer, which is pretty cool tbf, and using its bullet bills to open a cannon, then shoot to a random box thing to fight off some boomerang bros. Then there is the cloud flower section, which feels unnecessary as the cloud flower is overused in this game imo. The boss is quite good, but it's kinda just a glorified undergrunt gunner. If it was going to use a power up, I would've preferred something that wasn't used as often.

I agree with you on Mario Galaxy! My favorite level is Bowser’s Galaxy Reactor! It's a perfect buildup to an epic final showdown with Bowser! I know I might have told you a hundred times, but Mario Galaxy is my favorite game ever! The final boss fight with Bowser is the main reason why, and nothing gets better than that!

@@jacobvanantwerp2001 Surprise: I don’t like Super Mario Galaxy that much - but I don’t dislike it either. I can understand people praising the game, but I am easily overwhelmed by intense emotions as present there.

Super Mario 3: Hello, fortresses don't count as castles somehow??
Yeah. But somehow a normal level from New Super Mario Bros. U does. It doesn't make sense. Another thing hat doesn't make sense, is how he says that a level, that is supposed to be easy, as it is at the beginning of the game, is bad, because it is easy.
@@mevm2890 Players like me do exist, players that are overwhelmed by difficulty.
It isn't a bad list, but I can't understand if you're saying that castle levels where you don't know where to go are bad or good. It seems like Warts Castle is criticized for it, but Bowsers in SMB3 is praised for it.
And autoscrolling makes the airship levels in SMB3 bad, whereas your fav SML1 boss levels are the autoscrolling shmups.
I don't mean to be rude, your criticisms just seem inconsistent or maybe a little vague sometimes.
Also, a lot of final levels are placed as the best from there respective games, which seems a bit unfair to the others, when final levels have the general luxury afforded to them of being the end of the game, with the presence of the final boss, all the hype and buildup. Mainly just think it's a problem when it's the only good level mentioned from the respective title, in the case of SMB1, 3D Land, SMB3 (which has a lot of fortress levels to choose from still) and New Super Mario Bros Wii.
It's a fun list, some things I do agree with, and these opinions are yours to have
Personally in mario 3 the final fortress in world 8 before you get to the two final tank stages is the worst. Its an annoying maze.

You should really watch what you call easy. Perhaps it is easy to you however not everyone has been playing Mario games for years on end and some kids might think themselves poor players if they are having difficulty beating a game that you are calling easy.

Bowser Jr. > Koopalings
I think, from the seven Koopalings, I like Morton the most due to his funny voice clips. My opinion is subject to change though as I barely play them in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.
