Yet another beautiful trip through Andhra Pradesh and off to Telangana by train, my favorite mode of transport in India. A quick trip to Sri Lanka from Hyderabad tp rediscover the magic of Lanka. Experiencing the best train ride in the highlands of Sri Lanka was a magical experience. This trip costs a minute fraction of what it costs to get on one of those premium trains in Switzerland but with a much better experience. Come and enjoy this train ride for free....

1) Thanks for showing beautiful Ashoka Vanam (Sita Eliya/ Nuwara Eliya) in Sri Lanka.
2) As per the Ramayana, Sita Devi was brought to the island of Lanka Puram (Sri Lanka) and imprisoned in an area
named Ashok Vatika.
3) There was a wonderful Ashoka tree here, which provided the distressed Sita, shelter and comfort.
4) It is believed that the considerable area of Ashok Vatika were burnt and destroyed by Lord Hanuman ji when he arrived in the island and found Sita Devi. Sita Devi was in Ashok Vatika until end of the battle between Ravana & Rama which resulted the death of Ravana.
5) It is interesting to know names of your father and mother also. May not be appropriate to write your gotram here.
6) Thanks also for showing "Imprint of Hanuman's foot " on the stone behind beautiful Rama, Lakshman & Sita Mandir.
7) "Anda Malai" is also beautiful.
South-imdians should more connect to sri-lanka' becoz it's the extension of our land and landscape. 😇
