I say you should be proud of Gunner. I'm proud of you, Mike. Wanting to keep him safe while letting him learn. Hearing the pride in your voice was wonderful. Thanks for sharing this. I was only a couple of years older than Gunny when I helped my uncle hay his fields by driving the tractor. It was a day & a half job, and I drove the tractor & pulled a hay trailer. That was 58 years ago and I remember it as if it was yesterday.
71 years ago, I was eight years old. When I got off the school bus, the tractor and disk were waiting in the field. I plowed until dark, unhooked the disk, drove the tractor to the gas tank and filled it up for the next day. Dad would drive the tractor back to the field, hook up the disk, and leave it for me when I got off the bus. Good start for your son.
You’ve got a great little helper there Mike. One day, he’ll be as good as you working side by side with his dad.. You’ll have hours and hours of videos filled with gotcha moments and memories for family generations to come.
Gunner had a great teacher, Aaron did a great job teaching Gunner how to drive, he did an excellent job driving and now teach him to operate the dozers and excavator's and he can take over the business when you are old and retired, ooh wait you are already old lol, great video as always Mike, see ya on the next one ✌️
It’s an amazing feeling seeing your offspring ( such a funny word) in the seat by themselves. I was in shock the first time I let my daughter run the skid steer and mini sitting in my lap. I started slightly younger but it’s great seeing it’s still being past down. Science and lots of people say natural talent/gifts and skill (to an extent) is a myth… I say that’s BS it is real. A natural operator is clear as day. If Chis “LD18 “is watching (which I doubt). He knows what I’m saying as well as Mike.
Oh boy. MBTS had better watch out. Gunner is ready to take to driving Bubba. Thank you Mike and Gunner for a great Dad and son video. Have a great day.
My dad always reminded me of when I first drove a truck at maybe 9. He told me to back up “just ten more feet” - I had absolutely no concept of what ten feet actually was…
This is what life is all about! I think Aaron has some up and coming competition!😁 Gunner did fantastic! I remember when he rode on your lap and drove, they grow up way too fast. Brilliant parenting Mike!
What a brilliant extra pair of hands. Well done Gunner. You are right Mike, wait till he’s loading you and it will be pay back time. That is one son to be proud of. 👍
A good friend of mine started his two sons on equipment when they were 6 or 7 years old helping us as we worked various projects. Thirty years later, one is a class A operator for a major construction outfit and the other runs the his family's drilling business. Letting Gunner learn skills he will use the rest of his life is a great thing Mike. Awesome to see you teach him.
He is driving as good as MBTS. It's so nice seeing father and son working together, especially when Gunner is so young. Hopefully, we'll see a lot more of him in the videos when school is out for the summer. He is going to be a big help doing a mans job at a young age. Make sure he is getting paid a mans wage also.
Aaron better watch out he has some competition driving Bubba Dump now and didn't have to move the seat. He did really well driving and listening to your instructions. Thanks for the video
"Hot and heavy looses pace, slow and steady wins the race." Learning first how to operate properly will benefit future productivity. Mr. Mini Dirt Perfect is well on his way, following in his fathers footsteps. Well done! 🇺🇲
I'd just like to say a quick bless you for helping Lucas with the loan of your mini. The world needs more people like you who are willing and able to help the younger generations to achieve their goals.
What A Great Morning, Watching You And Gunner Having A Great Learning Experience Together!! Him Learning To "DRIVE", And You Beating Him Up With An Excavator!! Well Gunner, Keep Up The Great Work!! Later Guys!! Try To Stay Dry Today, Storms Just Starting Here In Chicago @ 7:30am P.S. Aaron Better Start Looking For A New Side-Gig!!! LOL/Ha-Ha-Ha!!!
I'll tell you what. I was very surprised when I realized Gunner was driving that truck. It's amazing to see a little guy like that controlling a massive truck. Blows my mind. He did GREAT. At first I was wondering why you were having to give the driver step by step instructions, but then, , , I'm impressed.
Good job Gunner!!! That's how I learned to run equipment, when I was a kid I went to work with my daddy and I filled in where needed and learned a little bit about everyone's job and eventually I was hired to work when I was not at school. ..
AWESOME DAD!!!!! Only way to learn is experience. I'll bet he's already better than some "would be if they could be" operators. Love this channel. Billy J.... Retired Interstate Truck Driver, Queensland, Australia.
Tell Aaron he has competition for Bubba Dump operator!!! Gunner did great and did it safe and efficient ! You have a great kid there!! Thats how I got my start driving big trucks! Fun to watch a father / son working together with no drama!
That was seriously decent driving from your son. Learnt quickly and was steady throughout. Cool tales for him to tell his school friends, with video evidence to prove it
Incredible driving Gunner. Such a great help on this job - you worked hard (stump holes happen to the best of drivers). Also incredible trust you have in Gunner's ability Dirt Perfect - you taught him well - to listen, observe, be instruted and do as required. Brilliant of both your parts.
Gunner 👍👍👐👊🤛👏 keep helping Dad and do good in school keep learning from Dad he is what I wish I could have had as a father. Leasing to Dad and learning from him. Sincerely! R.S.V.
Good morning sunshine! Look at that lil man driving Bubba Dump! I know you are one proud Daddy! Of course Bubbas not gonna let him mess up! Lol! Much love from Henderson Ga USA
Gunner is old enough to start learning how to operate your equipment. I started driving a tractor the day I graduated 3rd grade and started plowing the fields on our farm the next day. It won’t be long until Gunner will be helping you on these jobs whenever he’s not in school or playing sports. It will be a good way for him to raise money to buy his first car. Hopefully he will take over your business one day.
Awesome to see a dad teaching his son his trade. Nothing like father and son working together. That memories both of you will have forever. Good job Mike and good driving gunner! Keep up the good work and maybe we will see more where gunner is working Hyundai!
Awesome Job Gunner!!! Great video Mike!! It has to be a pretty neat feeling seeing Gunner learning so much from you. And you are capturing so many great memories with these videos! Take care.

A job well done Gunner!! You touched my heart this AM watching you do a mans job, your dad and all of us are proud to see you helping Dad!! Keep up the great work.
Gunner did a fabulous job in this video. As a driver, he didn’t run into the creek or run over Ralph or his tractor. And as a camera operator he was steady with no commentary. MBTS lookout, here comes Gunner.
OMG, Gunner is driving!!! What a great young man. Before you know it he will be running all the other machines & giving his dad a run for his money. Awesome job Gunner.
Hi dp, great to see the next generation starting to learn young. Congratulations on some great driving Gunner, you have a good teacher, he will be onto the excavator in no time. Best wishes from Scotland. colin
It takes personal time to teach your children responsibilities, I'm an old man but thankful my Dad spent the 50's teaching me to understand and operate equipment! I believe you run carts (go) too and that's a tremendous teaching tool along with great fun! Every elementary school should have a track behind it! Great job teaching your child what you know!!!
Awesome!! My dad did that with me and now I am a civil superintendent as well as a former heavy civil business owner for 25+ years... All due to the proper education. Merica
Every time I see Gunner operate equipment, I say the same thing. He has real affinity for operating machinery - safely. Mighty impressed. He’s a gifted young man. I would think operating yr mini would be within his skill level.
The funny thing about Gunner driving Bubba Dump is he didn’t have to move the seat😂😂😂
Now that tickled me! Funny but true! Lol
lololololololo

Poor MBTS, everybody picks on him. 🙁🤪☹️😜

Great job by the "NEW" truck driver.
