I just feel that the most fun part was her mobility, I hated not being able to hit her too but now she just feels more simple

now I feel like someone is placing "heavy" + "slow" debuffs on me
I love hitting a tank down to 70hp just for a mercy to swoop in out of no where while I'm reloading and instant refill them to 90% full

Blizzard logic: we want mercy to heal everyone and minimize pocket healing. So she has to fly and look for critical teammates. We also raised her GA cooldown to 2.5 seconds.
Sojourn 1 shotting your backline and they nerf mercy smfh.
I think Mercy mains now have to treat GA like a Kiriko TP. So many Mercy mains hate the change but personally, this kind of long cooldown move works fine with Kiriko. Sure she teleports but at least GA doesn't have that long of a cooldown.
However in my opinion, I think it's too long and makes her GA experience a bit clunky. In my opinion they should've given her like a Zarya bubble cooldown. 2 GA with 1.5 sec cd in between each other and after spending said 2 GAs you THEN get the long cooldown. Maybe 2.5 or 4 secs

Mercy can't GA through walls??? She can't wall climb or cleanse when she's 1hp either. Comparing it to kiriko tp doesn't make sense. Tp cool down is longer bcs she can literally make herself immortal and invulnerable with her other cooldown, and tp is not used the same as GA in any sense except getting from point a to point b.

Her new passive kinda booty, there are situations where I could've gotten out but my team jst straight up leaves me (LOS nd things like that) nd I'm jst left to die, normally I can juke them or escape but self heals take so long to kick in. Also, since I have good survivability, I'm usually the last one left alive. Normally I can escape even after being shot a few times bcs of the old passive, but now since I have no one to heal I'm screwed pretty much. Also contesting ability sucks because you have to wait an extra second to move now :(
The only time I've found it useful is her ult. Her ult is the only time she's "tanky" and the passive actually does wht its supposed to. There are so many times where I've used my movement to escape getting rushed or dove but because everyone is full health or near full heath I jst die anyways cause I cant heal in time. It sucks. I have a 75% winrate on her so I hope I'm not the problem in this.
Edit: had a game earlier where genji bladed and immediately went for me. I use my movement to escape the first swing, but he jst dashed toward me again and I died, my GA had exactly 1 second left. I could've gotten out if not for the fcking nerf. Its shit lime this that is so frustrating, because no one asked mercy to be nerfed like this, it was always rez and dmg boost
Honestly, I am fine with everything except the mobility nerf. As many pointed out, she is not fun to play. She feels more robotic and more of a utility than a character. Her mobility was what really defined her. Hard to kill? Now she is a sitting duck at times. Just like some other support characters. Especially if Mercy doesn’t have anyone to heal. There was a rhythm & flow with mercy that if you play it now, it’s clunky & labored.
I will accept that in a top tier mercy main, yeah, it could feel “impossible” to kill her, but the other changes to kit they did, would have made that more possible. Also, how can she be a triage healer, if she cannot get to heroes in time? I still don ‘t see a strong enough argument to nerf her mobility, the problem was her having her mobility & damage boost. If anything her damage boost should have been nerfed in exchange for keeping her mobility.
Fr a lot of the other hero changes are good but with mercy and sojourn its like they're actively changing everything except the actual problems, dmg boost and the 1 shot laser beam

Some dude showed how she can tank more, so i tried it in game.
Like yeah, i have to be cautious with using my dash, but the extra healing from the new passive helps me be MUCH MORE AGGRESSIVE - Like a little demon zipping across the battlefield. Im glad for the change because i actually have more chances to use my pistol, but still have a chance to kill the enemy Mercy.

My friend whose plat mercy main said mercy was still good. He said something like, "Bro I'm not even mad. Mercy was too hard to hit anyways." Then he explained that the new rework to her passive makes it so he could be in the team fight as well, like tanking with Valkyrie.

Aside from the extra second on the movement everything else seems like a buff
not being able to heal as much or at all if your target isn't damaged is realllly rough
Her mobility being so much more restricted is going to mean mercy gets slaughtered by most Diamond+ teams. What made her so strong was her surviability and maneuverability. She just doesn’t have enough of it anymore to justify bringing her over other healers.

Mercy mains when they make her require slightly more brainpower and skill, and slightly nerf the best mobility in the game (they think she’s been gutted)(first mass rez now this)(literally unplayable)
66% longer cooldown for an ability isn’t exactly what I’d call a slight nerf, especially when said ability is the entire appeal of the character and their playstyle. It’s like adding a cooldown to lucio’s wall ride.
They could have nerfed damage boost, rez, and Valkyrie regen into the ground and almost every mercy player would still like those changes better than the nerfs they dished out to the movement, because the movement is the one fun part about mercy.
@@ayayaclap8700 I mean she still has some of the best movement in the game you just can’t spam it all you want, and 66% only sounds like a lot but it’s still easily the shortest cool down in the entire game only being 1.5 seconds longer than it was when they buffed her movement like crazy entering ow2

occurred because this patched the pc and console together. On PC, mercy died well among GAs. However, in the console, this part was difficult. Didn't think about this and patched it together

@@wendyz1309The did buff every other part of her kit but they nerfed the one thing that makes her work as a character. Still a net nerf but if they dial it back, it could make us Mercy’s stronger than ever.

u do realize in her ult on targets under half hp she will heal 90hp/s right? that's like really nasty considering it can also be on 5 people
the amount of self sustain and increased healing overall is amazing
i ain’t gonna lie, i saw people who were pissed at her new nerfs.. but as a mercy player and someone who had no idea what her nerfs were, didn’t notice a difference other than one time when i got killed cause of the new cooldown. honestly don’t know why people are so bothered 🤷🏻

As a mercy main i say that a nerf was needed, but this is too much, it's just not fun, the nerf she got to her GA is way too strong, while she's still playable there's just no fun, i feel the nerf to how fast she glides would have been good on its own, now mercy feels clunky and rough to play, no fun at all
Mercy is annoying af now from a Moira players pov. Can't kill anyone. She outheals all the damage Moira can dish out. Tilting at times but I guess the good news is that if in lower ranks you are struggling against dps Moiras, here's a simple solution for that
As a tank main I love a good healbot as much as any other tank main but I HATE the new Mercy nerfs.

I used to main Roadhog until I found out about his massive one-shot combo. It's just not fun to play and everyone should have fun playing a videogame!

Who are damn near impossible to kill while also blue beaming the grim reapers rail gun so it doesn't affect most players as much anyway
It directly punishes the way you express skill as Mercy while not disincentivizing the playstyle you hate (hard pocket Sojourn) because it forces us to be more reserved with GA. As such, the playstyle that still going is hard pocket damage boost (with GA used to follow the pocket) and only heal other people if your other support is dead; and if a teammate is out of position, forget being saved by new Mercy, she’ll abandon you to die where as old Mercy could’ve saved you.
@@genghiskhan6809 that's what I think they were purposefully trying to get at with the nerf. Trying to like stop mercy from being too hard to punish when she is out of position or when helping a teammate when they are and it does in some way slow down the hard pocket sojourn meta by making it so mercy can't follow her as reliably when sojourn goes in but I do definitely see that it's far from stopping the hard pocket sitch that we have now but blue beam in its current state is kind've problematic so this seems more like the balance team trying to lessen its effectiveness without directly removing or nerfing it. About how good these nerfs well only time will truly tell

Mercy mains are already complaining about the guardian angel nerf. I saw one comment say that all they wanted was for blizzard not to nerf her movement which isn't true because mercy mains are the most coddled players in the world some even saying she needs buffs. I played a few games with the changes and I definitely think it's going to take time to get used to the longer cool down but now mercy can actually get punished for mistakes. Hopefully blizzard won't listen to them too soon and we end up with another doomfist situation
To be fair mercy was one of the four characters that really on their speed to survive and the nerf made it a escape tool instead of a movement ability
@@cleannobody I think 2.5 seconds isn't that much longer it just means a bad guardian angel use can actually be punished now.
Mercy being meta is never, ever fun for anybody besides mercy mains (respectfully) and the person getting pocketed. It just so happens to be Sojurn in most cases nowadays. I don’t think it’s the end of the world for Mercy though since her healing is stronger but people can’t just glide around the map for free anymore. GA has to be used wisely now because the window for getting punished is so much wider.

They're buffs to her healing. Overall shes a better pick for healing and less reliant on damage boost but shes still really good while being balanced now.
No, they’re damage boost needs, you only pick mercy for damage boost. Because she can heal harder when you’re lower hp, she can damage boost for longer without getting punished for not heal botting
@@noorjahan3751You can still boost people. In fact, you have even more wiggle room now since you don't have to babysit people with the heal. Just boost until they drop under 50%, then heal.

i think they should revert the changes, she's less fun to play with her nerfed mobility whilst her and her pocket are SOOOO tanky now (unless you have a 5-stack/everyone's in comms so you can coordinate and focus)

@Xhypeinferno yes but now it makes her actually killable. Also her movement required 0 skill as it was simply a button press every second so the nerf was warranted.
