    RECIPES:
    Cheesy Movienight (a twist on a Boulevardier):
    • 37,5 ml (1.25 oz) Popcorn infused bourbon*
    • 30 ml (1 oz) sweet vermouth
    • 30 ml (1 oz) Campari
    • cheese perfume*
    Popcorn infused bourbon:
    • 105 ml (3,5 oz) bourbon
    • handful of popcorn
    Infuse bourbon with buttered popcorn for 24h. Strain and place the infusion in the freezer so the fats solidified. Finally, strain through a coffee filter.
    Cheese perfume:
    • 50 ml (1,66 oz) bourbon
    • 20 g grated parmesan
    Sous Vide the ingredients for 2 hours at 60°C or 140°F. Then place the sous vide bag in a freezer to let the cheese solidify before straining the liquid through a coffee filter. Bottle in a spray bottle.
    Caramelized Popcorn:
    • ½ cup sugar
    • 40 g water
    • 1 TBs butter
    • 1 tsp salt
    • ½ tsp baking soda
    • popcorn
    Cook down the sugar and water until the sugar browns. Then add and dissolve butter, then salt and finally baking soda. After it starts foaming pour over the popcorn and mix to cover evenly. Before it cools, spread over a baking tray sheet and press down, so the popcorn sticks together. Break apart into desired sizes.

    Parmesan perfume should be a thing. I would spray it all over myself. Huge props to Saso and Robi. The episode at times reminded me of one of my favorite recent shows, Mr. Robot

      I did simpler infusing popcorn and rum. Mix with coke and it reminded me of sitting in the movie theater.

    After trying this, two recommendations: use store bought bagged popcorn for the best, authentic 'theatre' flavor. Making your own is better fresh, but won't taste as good in the recipe for the washed bourbon. Also, watch that caramel like a hawk, it will burn in 3 seconds if you aren't careful! Great recipe, excited to have a new regular!

    Great cinematography as always, and such a cool idea for a cocktail. I noticed how corn forward Buffalo Trace is when I tried it for the first time last weekend, and was wondering how to play off of those notes. This is the perfect use for it!

    Nice, a boulevardier was my gateway to Campari. I love popcorn infused stuff. I infuse rum with popcorn and butter and mix it with vanilla Coke. It's great! The perfume is another clever touch. I wonder what other tinctures would be good here? Milk duds? Twizzlers?

      Please try it. You don't need to use it if you don't like it, but at least give the parmesan perfume a chance 😀 It might surprise you how well these two tastes go together. Thank you! It was one of the great Robi's ideas.

      Haha, I love classic's 😉 Well I like to mix different tastes that usually don’t go together. This one comes from my child’s memory of when I used to eat caramel and cheese coated popcorn. I then work from that. Sometimes it's just popped 🍿 in my head and then I write it down and try to make it 😃. I am happy that this amazes you! Cheers!

      @@KevinKos I was thinking of replacing it with white suze for a change, to try white negroni. But not sure how well that would work in your cocktail. (I'm lacking space to have too many bottles sadly, so I have to properly plan what to buy haha)

    Hi ,i would like to know which vacuum machine you use.
    i've been looking for a machine that seal liquid and most of my research goes for a vacuum chamber machine.
    is that right? i looked into description of vacuum machines and the one that you use looks like only for food.

      I use a regular food vacuum machine. You need to watch out when pumping out air from the bag, so the liquid doesn't come out and prevent the sealing process. when that happens I clean the bag and start from the beginning of the pumping/sealing process. It works just great with me and I didn't break the bank for that piece of tool.

      You will be left with only a small amount of butter, but if you will make a big batch of this bourbon, you can turn it around and make the popcorn with bourbon-infused butter 😃

    I have got the problem of cheese. I couldnt remove a cheese from parfum, not a fat, but cheese. So guys if you have tha same problem just filter it more times. I did it like 4, and that was fine finaly :)

It's a popcorn-infused Barbadian Rum that works really well in a Daiquiri, a Kennedy Manhattan or just a Rum Old Fashioned!
