about the weight thing: Hazard said himself that he only ate a lot during vacation and got back in shape when the preseason started. His weight was never a problem during any season. Nobody talked about this until he arrived his 1st season at Madrid and people wanted explanations for his decrease in form.
You're absolutely right about the training though!

Eden hazard was hazard to defenders, his speed, passing, drebbling, ball control in narrow distances was so good and he was very humble and down to earth to fans and others but his laziness and mindset to completely rely on talent and not doing hardwork lead to his downfall😢 but streets would never forgive him

@@spirate8977 *That GOAT debate is meaningless.* Those two (Messi and CR7) were the best players of the last 15-20 years... not all time (yet, we can still hear about that Greatest Of _All Time_ idiocy).
Others have done the same in previous eras : dominate the world football, in the leagues they were playing and with their respective national teams. When you compare those players to the last big two, you compare football eras where the game was somehow different 'cause it is evolving. It is like comparing Queen Elizabeth and King Richard (Lionheart).
Furthermore, *the guys who are fighting around the CR7 vs Messi question, nowadays, never watched a football game from before the 2000s.* Youngsters always think they know it all.

Eden Hazard was amongst the best players in the Premier League, and by association, the world, at Chelsea.
Acclaimed for his dribbling, creativity and ball retention skills, the FIFA website regards Hazard as being "difficult to dispossess".
If u never watched hazard play at Chelsea you’ll never understand how amazing he was.
Stats will never tell the whole story with a guy like him, he accounted for almost all of Chelsea’s creation and playmaking while he was there.

As a Messi fan since the 2009, even i accepted Hazard's nickname (the right footed Messi/EPL Messi). Because he was that good then. He was the closest to Messi to me, better than David Silva because he had speed and better than Pedro because of his close control.
He can dribble past multiple opponents easily, find short passing lanes that needed big brain and the skills to execute it perfectly which often became great chances/assist and he scores bangers a lot.
My mate who is a Chelsea fan since he was 9 loved the fact that I myself said Hazard was the closest to Messi. I watch Chelsea's game just to watch Hazard at the time.
When he moved to Madrid, my heart broke. But i gotta say the schadenfreude in me got the final laugh.

Something also rarely mentioned is that his cutting across the defender skill for dribbling (which he tweaked it compared to what normal wingers and ACM do when cutting it across) is basically what led to a lot of his injuries since it'd just make him sustain tons of pressure from the opposition's legs in both his calves and knees all the time all day during games. That combined with a bad diet and poor dedication to training led to his downfall since he could never be fit when he reached his 30's.

Hazard is a good example of why “being soft” and “suffering injuries bc the rules and referees are not protecting you from outrageous tackles on a week to week basis” should be considered as separate things
The battle at the bridge in 2016 is still one of the most outrageously officiated games of all time, some of those tackles can legit end a players career and yet the ref just stood and watched, and the best players all get punished for it

yup, nobody questions that guys like Messi Iniesta or Neymar could ball in the prem, but its all a matter of if their bodies could handle the blatantly dirty fouling

Am sorry !!! But you don't understand football if you failed to recognize the uniqueness of Hazard's style of play !!! He is the only player that managed to mimic the goat's style of play ( Messi ) . If currently players like saka , foden & Palmer , martineli , maino , ganacho .etc........ are considered great talents to watch , then I pity our kids bcoz they are so unlucky not to watch real footballers .

neymar more goals, assists and skills but his play wasnt as smart. main thing with hazard is he never lost the ball where neymar made silly plays and lost ball in dangerous areas. with Hazard there was 0 chance for him to be dispossessed without a foul. plus hazard didnt need skill, he just dribble like messi

Players being called "the _ Messi" as an indication of how good they are tells you how great the real Messi is and how he really is the greatest of all time. I mean "right footed Messi" "Turkish Messi" "African Messi" are what people call players that they speak very highly of or has great potential. That in itself is a testament to the GOATS mind boggling greatness.
