I think Makar being a dupe in a 1 of 6 quest to 99 set that comes months from now is not enough to drop him below Hughes lol
Agree, if someone complete the quest for 99 set in time, is going to be like mid june, the game is going to lose a lot of players by then (they already have), so I think is just better to enjoy playing with those cards right now

Agreed, we've got what, 2 full months till this thing drops? I'm sitting on enough fodder to make 4+ TOTS from scratch. I'll build one of the best RHD in the game now and then just take Bedard or someone else when the Quest is done.
They need more than 6 tots each week. Be nice to have several options, including your favourite players. Top 3 players from each team would be awesome.
Thats crazy to rank makar last because you can get him with the rewards at the end of the year? The goalie is absolute garbage (like all goalies in this game but maybe worse because its a 94 ovr card) and hughs is worse than makar without question, makar has shutdown and that alone makes that card better but he's also slightly larger and has better overall stats.

Dropping Makar because of the 99 set is asinine. There are going to be 5 other choices, one of which is bedard. I agree Makar is one of the worst choices of the bunch but he's unquestionably better than Hughes.
I'd love your thoughts on who we might expect the next two weeks. Would help decide if I pull the trigger on a week one or wait and hope one of my favorites gets the nod coming up.
I’m in the same boat. Do I buy MacKinnon straight up. Or wait for someone I like better
Also tots toty makar would probably change to 99 at launch of the Quest to 99 card so it makes more sense to stick with the toty or tots version get another 99!
I made Quinn Hughes for 40 collectables. But im a Canucks fan and leaving for a month vacation tomorrow so seemed worth
I got Makar and Quinn Hughes in my defence together. And I call the duo "Team Cuisine" because together they are cooking on the ice.

If you set the correct synergies on Q Hughes.. he has 99 Endurance! Ironically.. so does 90 Bobby Orr.. who has 98 acceleration and is still a solid defensive player
I’m admittedly Hut rich and needed a goalie so I made Helly and he’s been sensational. A set it and forget it for the season goalie. I’ll be making Pasta, Matthews and still need a LD.
He has been very good for me as well

I still prefer McDavids TOTY, some players might not find it viable. But, his TOTS not having born leader is actually the turning point for me. I had 218 goals with him before the trade in, he was my biggest goalscorer.
You mean the regular season of the Euro leagues is done? Otherwise, the DEL is in the playoffs right now. I got McDavid, Quinn Hughes, Makar and Kuch. And Makar in particular is absolutely sick.
I have enough for 40 TOS collectibles. Do I buy McKinnon, or wait for week 2.
I already have McDavid. And would love to buy a big defender from one of the next weeks. But it’s a risk! Haha
Just a heads up you said that only 1 TOTS non-NHL from NHL 23 made it to 99 but you forgot Bedard… he wasn’t in the NHL last year
Doesn't make any sense to me. Why they don't give you ninety two plus ninety three plus overall trading for collectibles, I have 92-94 to trade in😮
My LH wingers are T. Hall and J. Hughes x-factor. Should I down grade the Hughes and get tots mcdavid or wait to see what the other weeks bring

I played with both Mcdavid and Mac and Macs card is nasty!
I have both their TOTY cards and they are the two best cards in the game IMO but Mac's slightly larger size puts him over McDavid in my experience.
My man completely forgot about Natalie Spooner. Just like EA has forgotten about the women this year lol

I disagree on trading in the Hughes xfactor. Hes a fun 3rd pair 2nd PP offense guy paired with a giant. I like gold seeing eye for fun and you dont need to upgrade this card to 99.
I made hellybuck makar mcdavid and kuch ...I then pulled a community request tokon lmao way better at 6ft7 so I have a toty on the bench rn

i finally maxed out his elite card, and he’s already insane - can’t imagine how good he’d be at 99
He’s a guarantee to get a TOTS. I would bet on Pasta getting one as well.
If they make tots card that had a toty card they should make the tots card slightly better than the toty card. I know its a free upgrade but why not add some juice to the proceedings?
Suggestion for juice infusion - give the card a second zone ability.
I got a Untradeable TOTS European goalie should I trade him in for TOTS collectables?

I need 2 more 99xp sets as I did transfer my Xbox account over to the new system so makes me wonder who else is available or if I have to wait those extra 8 weeks
You have to wait. I know a guy who switched from old to new gen and has the 40 collectables needed but it won't let him complete the set

Which Mackininnon do you think is better. His TOTY or TOTS. I have his TOTY and I know you can trade it in and get both back. I’m just wondering ability wise which one I should play
To me his TOTY is better but it is super close. Can’t go wrong with either one.

6 90s gives you 36 collectibles, 90s can be had for 60 thousand coins
90s give you 5 collectibles. 5x6=30.

To be fair his nhl content has been absent or a week behind for awhile. I'm not a baseball fan so not looking forward to even less nhl vids but it is what it is, just not that many worthwhile hut content providers, so kind of sucks for me.

Said literally no one else. Last years card art was the absolute worst.
This is proof that you can never make everyone happy. We all complained about the TOTS card art, they add real card art in 24, still complaints lol
