@@karnod4401 I also am getting my first Apple watch ever, the SE 44mm with gps and cellular! I have been an iphone user since the Iphone 3 but I have always used Fitbit for my watch and fitness tracker. ATT had a buy one get one free for Black Friday so I got one for me and husband. It will be the first apple watch for both of us! I hope we like it, and I hope the 44mm isn't too big!
Great review. I purchased 2 for my wife and I as Christmas presents. I got the 44 silver with the black loop band and she is getting the Rose with the purple trimmed loop band. We are in our 70's and it seems like a good idea to be able to keep up with each other. She is not in the best of health. We both are always not having our iPhones close by when we need to call each other. Also, I hope the walkie-talkie works easily like when I am at the grocery store and she needs me to get something extra. I think the exercise tracker will help me to be more active. Thank you !

I got my first one this year too. It helps me put my phone down and not worry if I missed something important. Also declining spam calls immediately is nice.
Just bought a cellular SE watch, well it’s on order, I’m going to give it a go! Hoping it will be good for long walks etc where I don’t need to take my big 12 pro max along for the ride! Keep things a bit lighter.
Same here. Mine comes at the end of the month. I was on the fence about getting myself a watch (bought my wife one for Valentines day, then decided what the hell, I want one too). These vids got me pumped now.
@@Malfunctsean I can report that it’s a game changer in regards to notifications and responding to things quickly. Awesome for controlling Spotify etc from your wrist! Really happy with mine!
My 38mm Apple Watch series 1 broke back in September and had it for 5 years. 44mm Apple Watch series 3 or 40mm Apple Watch SE? On Black Friday sale, I bought the Apple Watch SE and used it mostly for fitness tracking and its intuitive reminders. For the money, I would have been fine with the 38 mm Series 3 but preferred a slightly larger screen, better performance and longevity. Agree that Always-on-Display is a moot point since you can literally just raise your wrist; however, it definitely eats up into your battery as I find out while I was working out and noticed the watch screen just turns on without intentionally raising my wrist.
My first Apple Watch too! I like wearing watches mostly normal ones but it has always been causing me fatigue due to having too thin wrists . And with the light weight of the Apple Watch SE this is no longer the issue! And then all the notifications I can see directly plus the watch face of my Memojis making silly faces every time I look at my watch is so fun! Honestly, they should make those as Lock Screen options for the iPhones as well 😂 I love my SE , but the only thing I kinda regret not getting the 6 is the blue color there. I really like blue. I’ve tried the bumpers to protect it but the plastic makes it look cheap IMO and not as flawlessly comfortable as originally is. So, I don’t . I wanna get my mom the red 6 cuz she needs all the health features , but I fear she hates wearing watches and she’s kinda afraid of tech... so I fear she ends up not wearing it and me spending for nothing lol.
Never related to one of your reviews more. I like both iPhone and Android but the last time I was on Android, which was a Pixel 2, I switched back to iPhone just because I wanted and Apple Watch and now I’m hooked. I started with a Series 3 and recently upgraded to an SE. Loving it so far and the speed bump was ridiculous.
Just ordered the 44 SE, the last piece in my Apple puzzle. I fought it for a long time, trying to make the Fitbit work for me, but after 11 months, it’s visibility has faded away and I realize I shoulda stuck with Apple. Thanks for the info, can’t wait to get it…also, going to use a recommended sleep app, Sleep Watch…we’ll see.

I have the Apple Watch se upgraded from the 3 Ive had for three years. I wanted an Apple Watch I just didn’t know why but once I got it everything clicked. Could never go back. Where did you get your watch protector?
The se is an apple watch 3.5. The newish design without ecg and an always on display. I'd highly recommend spending the extra 50 bucks or so and getting the series 5 or for around the same price series 4. Love my series 4 to death and will get the 7 when it comes out.
I got my first Apple Watch SE NIKE a Birthday for my self after long lockdown here in the Philippines, and been running with it for a week now. Not bad for a starter pack. I learned that the difference from the NIKE and the standard SE or any other apple watch is that the Nike app (NRC) is pre installed and did not took any memory not like the other ones
Yeah as a hard linux user, I was skeptical. But the wife has diabetes and sometimes passes out so I wanted a set of watches we can both have that has fall detection and emergency notificaitons. And the SE has both. She got the 40mm, I got the 44mm with the sport strap. And thats how it started. We both have iphones but now I take my watch running because I have the cell model. I dont need to take the cell phone with me. I can wear my watch. Thats it. And Im still connected. I can leave my iPhone on the desk at work, or even at home and still get things done, allthough I probably look silly talking to my watch all the time, getting siri to do my scheduling but whatever. Also, the walkie talkie feature is super-handy. Of note tho, if youre using this for sleep tracking what I do I a put the watch on the charger when I get home from work until the evening when im usually just bombing around youtube. I wear it to bed, do my morning run, and do all the things at the office and still have 40% battery when I get home after work. You still got a few hours if you have to shop, but mine only takes maybe an hour to charge anyway. Theres also other things that they dont tell you. Like if you have your iphone and apple maps navigating, the watch will vibrate and tick tick tick the closer you get to important turns and stuff as well as showing the instruction on screen. The noise level notifications are kind of sobering, expecially if your constantly in a noisy enviroment. Integration between it and the iphone is second to none. The when they are paired- its just that, they are joined at the hip for life. And for once I can actually say about an apple: It just works.

Love the videos Josh. I always reminisce when you mention the pebble watches. I absolutely loved mine and nothing since has come close to what pebble achieved back in the day.
