Like you, I've never used an Apple watch. I said to myself that I will never wear one for many years. But the price of an SE is too good that I can't say no. The cellular version is great because it means I don't always have to carry my phone with me. I know the Apple Watch isn't designed to replace a phone, but the fact that I only have basic notifications and calling features allows me to spend better time with my kids outdoors rather than being distracted with my phone. So gutted that you've managed to get yours so early, I have to wait until end of October because I've ordered mine with a leather strap.
Hey guys, so yesterday I’ve got my first ever Apple Watch. I’ve got the exact same watch as Joshua did and so far I am absolutely impressed by that thing. It’s very easy to get used to, I feel like it’s tracking everything very accurate and it’s so much fun to test out. The Series 6 just didn’t seem to be that much better for the price difference and I also haven’t noticed missing anything. In my opinion the Apple Watch SE is perfectly fine and definitely has enough cool features and little gadgets. Btw I’m not a native English speaker so please be kind. Greetings from Germany! Do it. I just left Android after 10 years. Went with the cheaper iPhone 11 after trying the 12 and realizing the 12 wasn't worth it. Got the watch SE as well. Couldn't be more pleased. It just works better.
I bought the SE 40 mm yesterday and it works so well!! Very smooth animation, I like how accurate the voice recognition and slide keyboard is, and the next time im at work I don’t have to pull out my phone in front of customers anymore

for me, the aod is not important because you can just as simply raise your wrist, tap on the screen, press the crown or side button. but that’s just me
just get series 5 if you want to save a little bit of money. Its not a big save so i would still get series 6 if i wanted always on display. Although i dont really need always on so i would get an se.

I got the SE watch as my first Apple Watch too ! 🥰 Also 40ml one but it looks HUGE on my wrist I have really thin wrists 😅 which is why I’m happy the aluminum is light weight enough so it doesn’t cause me fatigue, the majority of watches out there are too heavy for me. I skipped that fitness crap though :v Still,loving it so far, a bit afraid to wear it at work,cuz I work with my hands and not to end up damaging it. I love how it tells me to breathe ,how much it appreciates my proper hygiene :v and how haunted it looks with my Memoji as a watch face 😂 Also, talking to Siri from my wrist without the wake up command like a James Bond 😎 And with the additional band I got later looks so freakin stylish and awesome on me 😍
Joshua, I used to watch your reviews a lot in 2013 on android authority but stopped because I was no longer a huge android fan. This review was so thorough and well created. Just subscribed. I also love the direction LG, Motorola and Samsung are going in with their Wing, RAZR and Fold.

D K going on a jog this evening, i’ll update tomorrow. The battery has lasted all day at work this past weekend. It’s great since I listen to podcasts and Apple Music (don’t have Spotify) at work without having to pull out my phone. Another great feature I didnt even consider when buying is Apple Pay. So much easier to double-click the button on the watch and scan. than to pull out my phone-> double-click-> pull mask down-> Authenticate Face ID-> scan.
D K the feel is amazing. I didn’t wear watches or any jewelry before so I can’t compare it to anything. Having Uber and GPS on it is nice too. Considering leaving my phone for a while since my girl says I’m addicted to it.
Yes pls list on bands. I just ordered my 40mm SE watch from the Apple Store...waiting on delivery at this time. I bought some off the market bands on Amazon as it was much more affordable there. This will allow me to interchange the bands too. Thank for the unboxing of your new SE! I loved seeing the fasting fasting and liquids tabs on the watch as I need to get better about drinking more water.
Literally just picked up an 11 pro max and watch series 5 to go with my iPad Pro 2020, they’ve got this whole eco system thing down so much better than anyone else!
As a woman, I prefer the 40mm version it doesn't look so huge on my wrist and to be honest I don't want the always on display so this is the perfect option for me I think. It doesn't hurt that it comes in a much lower price tag.
I’ve never owned one either and I feel like that is the best option for me since I always have my phone on me. Plus I’m not trying spend a lot. I went for the 44mm because it would easier to read.
I just got mine setup and I am glad I am back to the original. I have had the Series 5 with the always on screen and I wasn't into it at all. The screen came on for about 2 seconds before dimming and then it couldn't be seen and you had to tap it to get it to brighten back up and if you hit the wrong spot it would access that feature. I was tired of it plus the battery was going and Apple doesn't want to work on them anymore due to lack of interest. If that's the way Apple is going to be, I will be limiting the amount of money I spend with them. The have decided to go into the high priced disposable electronics business by not working on their older items. My iPhone 12 is still doing great so I'm looking forward to my new iPhone 18.
I just got one myself. On day 2 and I’m really impressed although I’ve never owned any kind of smartwatch of any kind before so I have nothing to compare it to I.e any Fitbit or Galaxy watches.
@@everydaylife6528 I discontinued cellular and got the GPS model. I believe the SE model can receive calls and texts as long as your phone is near. I guess it’s personal preference.

Great insight on the SE watch! The supposed "budget friendly" approach Apple is trying to grab more market share. Coming from a wearOS watch user with an iPhone 11. This timely release of the Apple watch is very tempting for me, as my current samsung watch can't really speak to my iphone :(
I just got the Apple Watch SE 40 mm with the milanese wristband. I didn't get the chance to explore all its features yet but the experience has been awesome so far. Especially about fitness and notifications. Very handy to make phonecalls when you're in a hurry. I recommend it 100%!
Hi Josh... I'm sticking with my pebble Steel which with "Misfit" I know my light sleep from deep sleep. I have tried many Wear watches and Android watches which have tons of feature but I keep going back to the Pebble.

I took advantage of the heart health trade up. Even though Apple says up to $240 for exchanging your old Apple Watch. Since I had the series 3 38 mm. I only got $95 trade up. So I got the SE 40 mm and already see a big improvement in screen size and fit. I live it. I got the abys blue band and have been going through the different watch faces. I had the series 3 fir 4 yes or so now and glad I upgraded. I was going to get the series 7 but mainly wanted the fall detection. So I’m happy with this

Perfect size. 6’2 240 and the 44mm still felt unnecessarily big

The solo loop doesn’t really amaze me as much. But also, it’s pretty nice not having the holes on the band.
