- Every time Apple puts 'SE' in one of their product names, I'm interested. True to form, the Apple Watch SE puts some of the premium features into a watch that is under $300 and might be the sweet spot for people who love their iPhones but aren't sure about wearables yet.

Hmm, did you insert the top part of the strap wrongly initially. Not being nitpicking just something I think I saw. 🤭
I fixed it later. I had a whole two minute clip of me trying to figure out why it felt weird and then adjusting but I cut it out

It's great and it's budget price plus check out the series 5 it's on low price and u get the always on display and the ECG

@@JoshuaCurey had mine a few weeks now! Glad I bought the SE! The reasons I didn’t buy one before aren’t an issue anymore (battery life, having to charge it, available Apps). Really happy with my purchase.

Hey guys, so yesterday I’ve got my first ever Apple Watch. I’ve got the exact same watch as Joshua did and so far I am absolutely impressed by that thing. It’s very easy to get used to, I feel like it’s tracking everything very accurate and it’s so much fun to test out. The Series 6 just didn’t seem to be that much better for the price difference and I also haven’t noticed missing anything. In my opinion the Apple Watch SE is perfectly fine and definitely has enough cool features and little gadgets. Btw I’m not a native English speaker so please be kind. Greetings from Germany! i got the 6 as my first watch but you are right i wouldn’t say the SE and 6 have much different things that you really need. Hope you keep enjoying your watch bro!

Like you, I've never used an Apple watch. I said to myself that I will never wear one for many years. But the price of an SE is too good that I can't say no. The cellular version is great because it means I don't always have to carry my phone with me. I know the Apple Watch isn't designed to replace a phone, but the fact that I only have basic notifications and calling features allows me to spend better time with my kids outdoors rather than being distracted with my phone.
So gutted that you've managed to get yours so early, I have to wait until end of October because I've ordered mine with a leather strap.

I bought the SE 40 mm yesterday and it works so well!! Very smooth animation, I like how accurate the voice recognition and slide keyboard is, and the next time im at work I don’t have to pull out my phone in front of customers anymore

Joshua, I used to watch your reviews a lot in 2013 on android authority but stopped because I was no longer a huge android fan. This review was so thorough and well created. Just subscribed. I also love the direction LG, Motorola and Samsung are going in with their Wing, RAZR and Fold.

Do it. I just left Android after 10 years. Went with the cheaper iPhone 11 after trying the 12 and realizing the 12 wasn't worth it. Got the watch SE as well. Couldn't be more pleased. It just works better.

I’ve never owned one either and I feel like that is the best option for me since I always have my phone on me. Plus I’m not trying spend a lot. I went for the 44mm because it would easier to read.

They made the watch looks good! They made it the same without of course the AOD but regarding how the batter is, I would never turn it on in the first place.
Great insight on the SE watch! The supposed "budget friendly" approach Apple is trying to grab more market share. Coming from a wearOS watch user with an iPhone 11. This timely release of the Apple watch is very tempting for me, as my current samsung watch can't really speak to my iphone :(

I just got the Apple Watch SE 40 mm with the milanese wristband. I didn't get the chance to explore all its features yet but the experience has been awesome so far. Especially about fitness and notifications. Very handy to make phonecalls when you're in a hurry. I recommend it 100%!

I just got one myself. On day 2 and I’m really impressed although I’ve never owned any kind of smartwatch of any kind before so I have nothing to compare it to I.e any Fitbit or Galaxy watches.

Yes pls list on bands. I just ordered my 40mm SE watch from the Apple Store...waiting on delivery at this time. I bought some off the market bands on Amazon as it was much more affordable there. This will allow me to interchange the bands too. Thank for the unboxing of your new SE! I loved seeing the fasting fasting and liquids tabs on the watch as I need to get better about drinking more water.

@@Curtis69213 the bigger battery and screen is worth the size for me as I have large hands and fat fingers (: Plus my eyes suck lol, the screens amazing tho I always keep the brightness on low and it’s still plenty bright enough and the battery lasts longer than expected even when I use the watch a shit ton 😍

my Apple Watch series 3 is still fine, 3 years on. Was all set to just go BIG with the '6', but now seeing these videos am thinking that an SE is good enough - especially at expensive Australian dollar prices. Thanks.

The readings of the sleep wouldn't work if not on the body I assume. Do you know how most people handle this ? I hear the battery doesn't last that long . Thanks in advance
I’ve had the watch almost a week now and I LOVE IT ! it’s so amazing and has helped me a lot with tracking my walking , sleeping heart rate and even finding my phone as I’m always loosing it 😂 just love this watch alot

I just got mine setup and I am glad I am back to the original. I have had the Series 5 with the always on screen and I wasn't into it at all. The screen came on for about 2 seconds before dimming and then it couldn't be seen and you had to tap it to get it to brighten back up and if you hit the wrong spot it would access that feature. I was tired of it plus the battery was going and Apple doesn't want to work on them anymore due to lack of interest. If that's the way Apple is going to be, I will be limiting the amount of money I spend with them. The have decided to go into the high priced disposable electronics business by not working on their older items. My iPhone 12 is still doing great so I'm looking forward to my new iPhone 18.

Amazing first impressions! Was confused between this & the galaxy watch but this serves my purpose just right.
Don’t forget that you need an iPhone with an Apple Watch. iPhone 6s at least. I don’t think a galaxy watch will work with an iPhone.
