Man I have missed your videos ❤
Thank you so much for creating this channel and providing engaging, quality advice and all-around fun videos to watch. Your videos have bolstered my decision not to give up on RPGs in general purely because a lot of people tend not to have the attention span to commit to a game to play with friends. Thank you so much! 💜
I really like the examples you showed later on the video. I saved them all on my folder of good map references. 😅
Ha! Here's a link: www.sellswordmaps.com/?page_id=317
Just a sampling of my work.
I'm always excited when I see you released a video :)))
Yay he’s back🎉🎉
How about a review on Jared Blando's "Fantasy Art & RPG Maps"? :) Just got the cartography "bug" but have limited resources so it's a "pick one or two" situation. Regardless, LOVE the channel and your artwork!!
I love ALL WASD20 videos!!!! ❤
We all missed you nate!
Great review! I'll save all three books mentioned for purchase later.
@WASD20 we need more Nate, mate!

JP Coovert is one of my favorites!

@@WASD20 😃😃
Welcome back hombre
Another great video Nate!
Well my comment was going to be how if anything could get you to make another video it would be this but then you opened by letting us know that you've been setting on it for a while.
Maybe this isnt importat but i really need help to make some names for some continents of my fantasy map so could you guys help ?
do you have a book review for the jared blando book? (how to draw fantasy arts & rpg maps)
I have a video where I draw a town map w his 2nd book th-cam.com/video/5VnPaA_xVhY/w-d-xo.htmlsi=J6s0ol0ekgy3t82c
If you watch enough of my map drawing videos, I certainly mentioned it here and there and show parts, but perhaps I should do a full review of his first one!
@@WASD20 Yup! it would be very helpful to know why do you prefer it over the current books that you've reviewed.
Also I wanted to mention that I have been subbed to your channel for a while now and that I loved your content, you've been very enlightening! thank you for your effort man, its really appreciated!
I might have missed something? I cant find neither the Discord server or the reddit-server. Is it only me or have I missed something important? 😄
The frosts in Building worlds have a very old school British publication vib from the 70's-80 (White Dwarf et al ) so in that way I can dig em.
Have you seen JP Coovert's map videos?
What are your thoughts on software tools like Campaign Cartographer? I just got that one from Humble Bundle.
I think some of them are really great. I am not up-to-date on campaign cartographer, but last I saw it I just didn’t like the way many of the maps looked. As a practical tool, I think it’s great, but visually it was not pleasing to me. However, take that with a big grain of salt because I haven’t looked at it in a couple years.
I would like to ask something; if an example goblin stats scimitar (scimitar) is "...Hit: 5 (1d6 + 2) slashing damage...", what does "Hit: 5" mean here? I understand the other part as 1d6 + 2 damage if the hit is accurate, but what does Hit: 5 mean?
I’m assuming you see a +5?
Anyway that’s the attack bonus. You roll a d20 when you attack to see if you hit. You add the attack bonus to the number, and if it meets or exceeds the armor class of the target creature, it’s a hit.
Then you would roll the D6 to calculate damage.
Thanks 😊
Do they have a translation into Portuguese? (🇵🇹)
welcome back
Thanks!
Well this review cost me some money :)
Sorry not sorry :D

Nice book reviews. The first one seems a bit overpriced for how basic it gets, but the second book seems to contain some decent amount of information. Based on just watching this, I think in his future books he should improve on using page space better, especially his chapters on natural formations (chap 4 of book one and chap 3 of book two), such as his river examples that could’ve almost been on a single page.
