I'm kinda new to the channel, so I don't know if you already have, but lol can you make a video about jaw movement please? It kills me I can't figure out how to fix it and I know it's a bad problem if you could thanks.

Hi Tara! I used to lead sing in church for 7 years straight every single weekend. Sang through colds, sore throats, pregnancies, you name it 😅
I also misused and abused my voice by trying to overcompensate for the loud instruments around me. How do I know if I have irreparable damage? Do you recommend a voice doctor in Florida? I’ve been scared to death in dealing with this but watching your videos with Candace Cameron Bure have sparked in me the desire to start signing again.

I appreciate this!! I have more of a soft mellow voice but sometimes when I get in front of an audience I tend to push too hard. Thanks I will try to relax and just let my voice be my voice and not over sing 😊

Great video, I particularly loved the "less is more" point, guilty of going all out sometimes!

I have only started the video yet but I just wanted to say right away:
You ladies look amazing! loooooove what you're wearing😍👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼😍
Cute with Taras earrings matching Nikkis top aswell✅
After watching the video I have to say that I am sort of a Norah Jones voice and I love Norahs voice but honestly I would so love to have more of a powerful voice because I enjoy listening to those voices the most.
The quieter, softer songs are nice and lovely of course. But if you can't do anything else with your voice it just gets boring😔
And I feel it is also restricting the ability to give sound to all of your emotions...That's what is bothering me the most about it.

Instead of trying to build a bold loud sound to give light and shade to your quieter voice, consider instead to develop a forward/nasal placement. Whist it isn't the same as a powerful big voice, it will allow you to have a bold/narrow nasal sound to flick between.

I literally had "Practice Tourettes" two days ago, I was trying to hit the highest note in defying gravity, you know, idina manzel's version, hehem, *don't do that if you aren't a super strong belter*, you'll kill your voice, learn from me y'all. Anyway, I was trying to hit that high note and by the 4th time I had blew my voice out cause I wouldn't stop😂 so thanks for the tip

I’m over 60. I’ve been singing since I was 4 yrs old. I’ve made over 10 Christian albums and written over 75 songs. I’ve toured professionally for over 40 yrs but I have battled lack of confidence in spite of this all my life. Three years ago, I was at the top of my form even at my age, when I got terribly ill. I am now mostly bed- bound, housebound, and I fear I’ve lost my singing voice forever. Do you think it’s possible at my age, to get my voice back? I miss singing so much. I’m still writing songs but it’s hard to sing my own music, because I’ve become so weak. I used to have a solid Soprano range, and could control and use my vibrato at will, but now I can’t. I worry that I should accept reality and kiss my singing goodbye, but stubbornly and maybe stupidly, I don’t want to. I don’t even know who I am or why I’m still taking up earthly space if I can’t sing anymore. I want help and I want to keep trying but I am afraid of failing and disappointing people. What do you think? I admire you so much. Please write me back.

Hi love. What an amazing career you’ve had! I’m so sorry your health isn’t allowing you to continue as you’d like but I firmly believe in this: As long as you have breath in your lungs, you have a purpose here on earth. You may not know what that is, but stay faithful, keep your heart open, and God will reveal the next great thing He is wanting you to do to reach and inspire others. As far as getting your voice back, I encourage you to take advantage of our free 15 minute assessment so we can hear where you’re at and give you some tips for improvement. Sign up at tarasimonstudios.com/vocal-assessment. I don’t know how far we can take you, but the only thing that would be a failure or disappointment is not trying at all. You are seen, loved, and your voice still matters even if it’s used in a different way.

Thought I was the only one with “Practice Tourette’s” 😅. It’s liberating to realize this is a common tic for people and it’s not just mean being psychologically damaged or something
