I was just diagnosed with it in February as well as Endometriosis. I’m not a professional singer or anything. I just love singing at home, but would love to sing better! ♥️ I want my voice to sound like yours. ☺️
Kim Demos My wife had endometriosis and had to have an abrasion. They tried to talk her into a hysterectomy before we even had a kid, but she refused and we still had a kid against all odds. Will pray for you!

Exactly! I was like: how does an Alto sing in chest as high as A5? Not even sopranos stay in chest so high (unless they want to kill their vocal chords!)

its probably because you were lacking proper breath support. As much as this video focused on the mindset of belt (which is an important part of belting, dont get me wrong), imo, the video should have also focused on proper breath support and mitigating strain. You can probably find other videos about breath support and strain on this channel.

if you're using phone recorders, it will always sound somewhat weird, because the microphone of our phones slightly affect the recording, so it will always sound weird. so don't worry too much about that :) if you sound good to yourself, that's what matters!

Chest voice resonates in the chest, head voice resonates somewhere in the skull. Head voice sounds like opera, chest voice sounds like talking, basically.

There is another system of meaning notes where A5 is labeled A4. I had to look it up because I was confused too!

I have always sung in head voice. Even when I yell hey, I yell it in chest voice or it sound hoarse.

right? like i can hit up to an E5 (which is a huge stretch because there’s some straining involved.), but i cannot hold any note in the 5th octave.
Your technique is improper
Generally when singing high notes, the voice does get a little loud unless you're singing in a head voice

You can use a piano app, some label the notes too.
You could also download a pitchpipe app, those usually have it labeled too
