The original British Racing Green exterior paint is in beautiful condition from front to back, and the Oatmeal Connolly leather hides are immaculate front and back. Includes the factory top cover. This car is garage kept, and never smoked in.

Excellent review as always Bill. Thank you. I remember when one wouldn't touch Jaguar with a ten foot pole citing reliability issues, but they're slowly turning the corner now... Keep doing what you do! We love it!

Wayne - the reliability claims are rubbish. I've had seven and still have four. People stop me to say how great they look. Only one had mechanical problems. It was a '75 XJ6 and a mechanic had fitted two head gaskets at once. In eight years my '02 X308 has needed two batteries and a set of tyres. My XK8 has needed a battery and one coil in three years.

I have the 2004 version of this with the 4.2. Love it!! They really are quick and it will actually get an honest 30 mpg at 60 mph! But great driving car, love the whine of that supercharger when I get on it, and nothing looks like them ... period! Not to mention that now you can get them for nickels on the dollar!

I had the exact same car rhd racing red and black upholstery. Beautiful beautiful car and that V8 red lined at 6750. And yours being a well looked after Floridacar too. Fantastic.

these cars are sleepers imo. Yeah people see it's a jaguar...but that doesn't really mean supercharged V8, and they don't look real mean like a camaro or corvette. Just likes like a nice little cruiser car with maybe a little luxury or w/e. Then you pop the hood and it has a damn supercharged v8 lmao I'd never expect it. Reminds me a lot of those corvettes from like the 80s or w/e. They are real small and don't look all that great, but the hood hinge is in the front (w/e that's called) and they are relatively fast. This is even better tho cuz supercharger.

When you finally get around to treating yourself to the Supercharged XKR 4.2 Convertible Jaguar you have always promised yourself,, you'll really have joined THE PROPPER CLUB. Sure you could go for a 5 litre , but unless you race you'll be wasting about 20k,and buying the last of the line which is never a good idea!.. A 4.2 can be insured to do under 5k miles a year for around £350 and if you have the underside oil sprayed at every M.O.T. it will outlast you!. They really do run best on Silkolean, now known as Fuchs Fully Synthetic oil and having the leather revived occasionally will repay you handsomely. Be sure to ask around regarding who is the local Jag specialist, OTHER THAN THE MAIN DEALER, and you'll pay about half the hourly rate to a guy who really cares!. Happy Days!. Mike Allen.
