Mango Pudding Recipe - Asian Recipe - Pai's Kitchen

  • This popular Hong Kong style dim sum dessert is incredibly easy to make at home! Fruity, soft, luscious mango pudding, topped with fresh cream and studded with fresh mango pieces. It's sweet, tart, and creamy all at once. Use a ripe, juicy mango for maximum flavour. It's a great dessert to make in advance, not to mention it's a great gluten free option. If you don't eat dairy, you can also make this recipe using coconut milk.
Serve these in cute little containers, or put it in a fun mold and unmold for serving!

I've made this with canned mango purée you can buy at Indian grocery store - the type used for mango lassi. It's full of sugar, so you don't need to add sugar. It's a good hack for when mango is not in season.

same. the best one ive used is ashoka kesar mango puree. saved that step and also once the pudding has set, topped it with the same puree as a make shift glaze on top and top it with the fresh diced mango. served chilled and its such a refreshing desert.

In Brazil this type of 'mousse' is very popular, especially the one made with Limes and Passionflower concentrated juice. For 4-5 servings
1 can of sweet condensed milk (390g but it is a 300 ml can)
1 can of pouring cream (300ml = 300 mg) or any rich cream
same measure (300ml) of concentrated mango juice or pure/ or passion flower juice
if using Limes, reduced to 150 ml of fresh lime juice.
Some people add gelatin but it sets in the fridge even without it .
I like to add 1/2 to 1 tbsp of a fruity extra-virgin olive-oil to the blend and top with some fresh ground nutmeg before serving
Just blend everything in a blender or mixer, put in ramekins or whatsoever and leave in the fridge fir at least 6 hours.

Thank you so much for the recipe 💛 I tried it a couple of days ago and it was delicious! It was easy to prepare and perfect for summer 😎 I wanna say that adding a little bit of milk on the top makes such a big difference! I ate one without it and it was good, but for the next one I poured a bit of coconut milk on the top and it was even better 😁

Looks so tasty!!!! I'd probably do the molds cause those would be so much cuter. And then I would decorate with whipped cream with a hint of vanilla cause that's my weakness. Or maybe a thin thin slice of Avocado for a bit more savoury with the sweet. My go to sushi restaurant in Calgary (Fusion Sushi is an all you can eat Sushi and Thai place however they don't do good Thai which makes my soul sad) does an Avocado Mango Sushi roll.
