wow, its amazing what you guys are doing. Do you have a freezer box, if so put a plastic bottle of water in the night before, open it first to take some water out a squish it a bit before closing. Once it is completely frozen the next day you can enjoy it as it melts and you can use it as a cooler and will have lovely very cold water to refresh you.

Had a van a bit like yours, high top with the 2.0 petrol wasserboxer engine.
Had similar fun with the brakes, and the gear selector would disconnect betimes . Hugh top was great, but height barriers in Ireland are a pain.

This time last year after our accident we lost and then found my flip flops and a year later we lost and find my sandals!! Maybe this is a yearly thing 🤣🤣
The Algarve is beautiful but I think maybe April/May or October time would be better. Less tourists and also cooler. The heat at night is uncomfortable 🥵🥵

I knew it would be good times!! Why not get a Solar shower;Amazon has them. Operation Retrieve Sandals in conjunction with Operation Apply Sunblock to Shane😂🤣 Put a topper on Fergus!! Being able to stand upright in your van cannot be overstated. Safe travels. 😊🚚

We have a solar shower but we just use the cold water because its sooo hot!!

Have you got one of those tailgate standoff brackets holds the tailgate open about 10cm keeps the van a bit cooler. You can get them from brickwerks or you can use a turn buckle

I really do not understand why all the van bloggers go south in summer? Its always torture! I had a lovely summer on Spain's North Coast. Beautiful temperatures!
Yeah we don't understand it either 😂 last year we did the entire north of Spain and the Pyrenees and we absolutely loved it 😍😍 this year we decided to travel through the west coast of Portugal because it's cooler than the east of Spain, and we decided last minute to venture to the Algarve since we were so close and we only lasted 4 days 😂😂 way too hot and touristy for our liking 🙃 you are right sticking to the north 😉
