    I would add that the Steam version is recommended for everyone that lives in South America and countries like Russia as Steam applies regional pricing for both the game AND the subscription over having a normal PC account.
    For example, in Brazil the difference in price is significant: the PC subscription is at around R$ 70 vs R$28 on Steam.

    Oh, one small warning / tip for new players wanting to learn a new job. I went to pick up a crafting job and couldn't help noticing other players were naked for some reason. The thing is, when you equip the tool/weapon for a new job, the game sees you as level 1, and any items with a level requirement (or some other restriction you no longer meet) will be automatically unequipped. If you want to avoid this, you can create a gear set using your starter gear, then put that on before equipping the new tool/weapon.

    I would actually recommend keeping the Brand New Ring in one of your ring slots until your dungeon rings start completely overshadowing the stat boosts (minimum of +4 in every affected stat) given by the exp ring (usually happens around level 40 I think?). That +3 to just about everything is one of the most helpful buffs in your arsenal for a fairly long time.
    Also worth noting, debuffs removable by Esuna can also be Warden's Paeon'd off by your Bard. Basically, if it has that blue line, it can be manually removed by anyone with a skill that removes debuffs.

  • @crystalgoddess4085

    Not sure why people suggest NA for Australian players, the timezones for EU are closer to Australia than NA is, not to mention less ping, at least from what I've noticed. When I started, I chose an EU server, Chaos, and when I play, it's rather active.
    The particular server I'm on, Omega, which is predominantly English-speaking, but it's seen as Chaos' RP server. It also has a *very* active hunting community, there is almost always a "hunt train" going on at all hours, as for what a hunt train is, it's when groups of players gather in groups and travel between areas hunting "Elite Marks", which are powerful world bosses, they're divided into tiers to determine difficulty, going from B to SS, B ranks are ignored, as they don't give rewards unless they're *your* weekly hunt target, SS ranks are extremely powerful enemies and need large groups to kill.
    5 tips I would give new players would be;
    1. Don't stress about rushing through the MSQ, even the developers suggest to take your time and go at your pace.
    2. Seasonal and Collaboration Events are extremely lenient for time, so you don't need to do them on the day they start, and they're extremely beginner friendly.
    3. Do not feel stressed or worried to ask random players for help, most will be more than glad to help, or at least point you in the right direction, the community is very chill and kind for the most part.
    4. If you buy the game on Steam, do not judge the community based on the game's Community section, it seems to bring out the worst in people, which seems to be the case for pretty much every game on Steam, except for those in a... certain genre.
    5. If you use mods of any kind, do not mention that you are using them, as they are against ToS (Terms of Service), but the dev team treat certain mods differently, ones such as ACT or any DPS meter are treated as "If you don't use it to harass/grief/troll people, we'll be fine with it", but appearance altering mods, *especially* NSFW ones are treated as "You are NOT to take screenshots or videos and share them online anywhere, if we find out, we will ban you", so treat them as personal use only.

    Pretty helpful. I wish I had something like this back in the day. Good luck to all the sprouts in Eorzea!

      Black Painted Moogle Mask (2019 Moonfire Faire, now on mogstation), Hannish Wool Autumn Shirt, Bridesmaid's Tights (vendor in Ul'dah, don't buy it from MB it's a scam), High House Halfboots and High Allagan Earrings of Casting (Coils T9). All in Soot Black Dye :D

    Thanks for the informative video stal :D. Question though, how does one get to those training dummies you used for the video? Would love to practice my rotations and sometimes I wanna look at how cool LBs are. I am aware stone, sky and sea exists but how you did your guide was really cool :)

      sorry for the late response! the ones in the dungeon areas are from exploration mode. you can enable it through duty finder settings before queueing into a dungeon

    a couple of friends i recently reconnected with from old times final fantasy 11, play 14 already and me and my brother plus another long time friend are looking to get into 14 now, i would really love to try out the free trial version of 14, but with the current situation going on and free trials bein suspended, i guess ima have to bite the sour apple, and just buy the damn thing straight up.
