Hey Zepla, I bought a BLM Level skip, but I noticed I've missed out on iL90 Gear from the Always Bet On Blac (lol) questline. It came to my attention when I unlocked the Wyrm's Armor set while finishing the Dragoon lvl 50 questline, and I noticed I didn't get a second set of armor from the BLM Level Jump. I can't find out online how to get the BLM iL90 gear, do you know where I could retrieve it? It's the Sorcerer's set.

Every time that golden Garo horse shows up I want to scream. I got the achievement for it like 3 minutes before the maintenence for 5.1 and couldn't make it to the achievement vendor in time. So I have the achievement, but will never get the mount

I really hope ffxiv adds more "Look what I did" items. Its something I have always loved in mmos. Seeing someone with a rare item be it from drops or crafting is always that much more exciting.

New to this game first week in and its youtubers like you who are showing me its something to really stick with, great community, great story and AMAZING MOUNTS :D
I started playing earlier this year, with my sister as my personal mentor (she started in 2011 I think). She helped me get all the AAR horse mounts and the Kirin which is my fave because of it's sparkly flying sound. Kira-kira Kirin.
@@KenjiAsakura09 MGP kind of seems difficult at first, but it's relatively easy to get with the right routine. For starters, make sure to get the 3 Jumbo Cactpot tickets every week. Whether you win or not is pretty much pure RNG but you'll come out ahead more often than not. The Mini Cactpot can be done every day, 3 tickets, but this one is somewhat less RNG based because of how it's played. Google yourself a mini cactpot calculator and enjoy the winnings. The GATE events in the saucer are kind of hit-or-miss in terms of what you'll get vs how much effort it takes. Slice is Right & Any Way the WInd Blows are mostly just luck. Air Force One is simple enough that you can perfect-score it every time without much effort. I've never done Cliffhanger. And Leap of Faith...I was around when people were grinding for the Regalia and Leap of Faith was horrendous.....Most of the time it's not bad though. If you normally play with a keyboard/mouse but you DO have a controller I'd suggest switching to that for the event, it's WAY easier to control that way...mostly it's patience and timing. Apart from that, the most important thing for amassing MGP are the Challenge Log things. Mahjong takes FOREVER to actually play through, so unless you are a die-hard fan of it you should just skip it and save the hassle. The Lord of Verminion and Triple Triad challenges are super easy but setting up a good team for Verminion and a good deck for Triple Triad take a little effort. Fashion Report is good if you can get it figured out. Chocobo Racing can be fun but is fairly time consuming. And finally, the basic mini-games available are ok but they have a fairly finite point where the reward is eclipsed by the difficulty/risk, so maybe look that up and keep an eye out if playing them....
for the Amaro mount, when levelling DPS i have one word for queue times: trusts... yes they are slower than people but i felt i saved so much time using trusts to level since it was insta-pop. also, while you get half the item drops, its all yours, so they can be good getting GC seals too, which i use for getting Venture Coins.
I levelled my Warrior and Ninja while levelling all my Trust characters... killed two birds with one stone. Got Arcanist (i.e. Scholar and Summoner) up to 80 before starting Shadowbringers proper because I was using Scholar for quick queue times in the roulette. Needed the tomestones to finish rounding out my Scaevan gear. Played Dark Knight and Machinist through the Shadowbringers main story. For the rest, while I was doing tanks and heals through roulettes I ran the other DPS doing hunts and the pixie beast tribe quests. Heck, with roulettes, Pixies and hunts you could easily gain a level a day.
More than bunny boys, I would be very happy with a Lupin race being added. I think your points on inventory, glam, scaling dungeons, and everything else was also on point. Housing I think being a keystone and attractive feature that the existing and new players want to be functional - probably the most important thing they can fix right now.
For Stormblood bosses (all fights are single healer single tank 6 dps) Lakshmi: a joke, 1:30 fight Susano: same, just slightly longer due to main mechanic Shinryu: relatively easy, should never encounter the harder mechanics as your dps will skip them. Byakko: again rather easy, stop DPSing at around 65% and start again once he does the bullet hell to skip free fall mechanic. Tsukuyomi: Aside from the moon mechanic relatively easy, just got to remember to drop your meteors in the right place. Suzaku: the hardest one here, the phoenix and Simon says are still a threat, but once understood she can be dropped rather easily Seiryu: Like Suzaku he's rather hard, should know all mechanics up to towers in 2nd phase, dps should kill him at that point.
You can skip the freefall for Byakko? How does that work? Also, I feel like Seiryu has always been a joke mechanically, just difficult cause of DPS check, not now of course.

I've been playing about a month. Got Smn to lvl 50 and then tried other classes. Fell in love with conjurer and became a lvl 31 white mage last night. It seems I have an instinct for healing.

Zepla HQ I’m also impressed with you finding some of them. I know the pvp mounts are super rare, and other mounts (like the Morbol) can have as few as 40 in a whole data center (as is the case in mine), but I was thoroughly impressed by you finding footage of the pterodactyl mount. As far as I know, that might be the second publicly available footage of one so you truly snagged a massively rare find! I can only imagine how much effort this took, and as a member of this community, thank you for making this video a resource that is available to us.
since you brought it up, here's a12s farming advice (learned this when aiming for BLU BiS): you can do this with 5 people: 3 dps, 1 tank, 1 healer unsync. your dps is pretty much enough provided you know your rotation well enough & are level 80. you can stomp through the first phase easy enough w/o doing any mechanics really. you no longer need tank LB to live during phase transition. aoe mitigation is enough. each dps should immediately take their positions at south, east, and west and healer & tank stack in the front for the mechanics. after that it's just dodging. so long as nobody dies, you shouldn't have to deal with portals or tethers. if you do have to do said portals, make sure all but tank go in. for tethers, blues go separate, red & green stick together. he should be dead around that point though. i highly suggest only bringing 5 for this one because it makes mechanics so much easier to deal with for people who don't really know the fight. hope that helps.

(synced heavensward extremes intensifies) Met a lot of cancerous individuals (-cough- horrid mentors), my blacklist got a lot of love... but also met a lot of lovely people too! It was one hell of a rollercoaster however if I had to do it over again, I would. I found it extremely rewarding when I helped a team of sprouts clear tricky synced content ^-^ P.s: failing the tortoise guildhest due to language barrier of the tank gave me PTSD, my freebie guildhest ;w;

Im just running around playing pizza delivery boi, and then suddenly the main story completely escalates. Love this community and all of those mounts I will never get ^^
She didn't really talk about how to obtain them if that option is gone, though, which is fair. There were a bunch that before you could get just for being subscribed to the game for long enough.
A friend and I went into A12S as dual PLD. When Tank LB beam came up, we both used Rampart, Convalescence-Clemency, shot Intervention at each other and survived with almost no damage done (had a ridiculously good laugh about it the rest of the fight). When the adds came up, we shot opposite directions and ran clockwise. Once we were out, we pretty much followed the mechanics until we got to split puddles. Since we couldn't heal, we tanked as much as we could until I had to use Hallowed and died. He immediately used Hallowed and was able to finish it with about 2% of his health left. If a player is seasoned enough, the mechanics are easy enough to read if you wipe the first time like we did. I'm sure there's a more optimal way to unsync it with no more than 2 people, but that's the best I have. Good luck and happy hunting y'all!

Thanks. That's what I thought for Behemoth and the other ones she mentioned for achievement tokens. Those are some of the few I have and I didn't exchange tokens for them.
It's not crazy to think they'll add it eventually since it's SE's own IP, so they have no license agreement issues blocking it like with Yokai, Monster Hunter or Garo mounts.
Yeah I started playing FFXIV when the promotion was going on, because I got into this from playing FFXV and saw a quest involving this game. Couldn’t get the mount in time though :’(
Every other FF crossover event has repeated at least once. So did the DQ and Yo-kai events. I wouldn't be surprised if the the XV event was repeated at some point in the future.
Oddly enough when I first tried FF14 shortly before Stormblood was due to be released U quit during the 30 day free trial. Saw footage of it recently perhaps a month ago and after a bit of a hard time remembering my accounts and passwords, recovered my file. Apparently I'd bought the Heavensward collector edition because it was there with all my old toons. They were all lvl 4-18 but I remembered nothing so started afresh. I learnt how to effectively send myself gil via the market before deleting them though. I'm glad I did start over as an Arcanist than Thaumarurge. I love the summoner job for all solo related play. But when I need to get through group content I switch to Scholar! The ultimate versatility. Can't get that kind of switch with black mage which is what my old character was going to have. Either way it's going to be hard for another mount to beat my Griffin. I prefer mounts meant to fly with wings or engines, with my WoL comfortably saddled on it. And the mount is big enough to take her weight.

Well, it used to be a bonus reward for people attending FanFest so I guess about half of the playerbase who have it didn't actually buy it from the Mogstation ;)
Aladdin's magic carpet and Goku's Flying Nimbus are hands down my top picks of all those. There are some really dope looking mounts to choose from as well!
Keep an eye out for the Moogle Tomestone of Law Event starting next week. A number of these mounts will be available for currency earned in the event, some of them like Ixion not easy to get these days.

For people watching this now, the Yo-kai event is back so the Whisper Go-Go and the Whisper A-Go-Go mounts are up with the event till patch 5.4. There is also a new mount after obtaining all 17 Yo-kai weapons the Jibanyan Couch mount will be yours.
Hi Zepla, I'm a new player in ffxiv. So story is, I started playing wow for a year, getting subs and stuff but then...I got bored. And saw ffxiv, so like anyone would do, check YT. I saw Asmond, and then you on a discussion regarding why wow players are transitioning to ffxiv. So I tried the game, after the free trial, bought the game and started playing and playing! Now, the decision has been made, and now I'm at level 20 with my first character. I dropped by here to watch your video regarding mounts, so thank you!
It is quite the grind, but it is totally worth it (especially if you don't try to race through and just let yourself get immersed in the story). If you are only playing a little at a time, that MSQ grind will be shortened with the release of patch 5.3 (still waiting on a date for this, I think people are guessing early to mid July)

@@eshbena i was ineterested in the garo mounts but i'm not into the PVP stuff so i was kind of bumbed that there was no other way to get these mounts, you never know maybe they'll decide to put these mounts on the mog store or even they may appear in the mog event in the game where you can get stuff like that from collecting the mog tombstones

Started playing FF14 about a month ago and just stumbled across this guide. While a lot of these are cool, I think that Firebird is going to be my first major goal that thing looks awesome. Also, having a ton of fun with the rest of the game and hope there's a ton of the quests with the Manderville gang.
For the first tank mounts: soloing does not work. You have to duo it at the very least. (I did Garuda 20 times before I noticed the counter not going up)

Farmed O4S and O12S on patch 5.5 need to know: O4S: did with 6 people, 1 tank/1 healer. mechanics that are important to know: grand cross alpha and delta. O12S: full party, mechanics needed part 1: tanks need to know all mechanics, healers need to know where to stand with stack markers and everybody needs to know fundamental synergy. part 2: all mechanics need to be known so you dont die off aoes and for the "Hello World" mechanic we employ the cheese called " Goodbye World" where all dps kill themselves once the cast goes off
The SDS Fenrir is also the fastest mount in the game. I was wondering how my fiance was driving faster than me, thought it was lag at first...Nope. Its just faster on the ground and in the air. Makes sense I suppose, being a motorcycle.

Yes, you can solo some of Alexander. There's definitely some that aren't really. Depending on the boss, there's mechanics that require either enough DPS to beat the boss before the mechanic that requires multiple people or just need at least one additional person. But, you'll probably need a level 80 tank. PLD is a good choice since it has Clemency for heals.

Just came from an azmon video where he watched your youtube video; lots of thumbs up and follows had. GREAT WORK!
for the Amaro mount, when levelling DPS i have one word for queue times: trusts... yes they are slower than people but i felt i saved so much time using trusts to level since it was insta-pop.
also, while you get half the item drops, its all yours, so they can be good getting GC seals too, which i use for getting Venture Coins.
I levelled my Warrior and Ninja while levelling all my Trust characters... killed two birds with one stone.
Got Arcanist (i.e. Scholar and Summoner) up to 80 before starting Shadowbringers proper because I was using Scholar for quick queue times in the roulette. Needed the tomestones to finish rounding out my Scaevan gear.
Played Dark Knight and Machinist through the Shadowbringers main story.
For the rest, while I was doing tanks and heals through roulettes I ran the other DPS doing hunts and the pixie beast tribe quests. Heck, with roulettes, Pixies and hunts you could easily gain a level a day.
Silvan Barrow yeah pixie dailies are insane for exp for the easy and fast way they work.
I dunno, I found it's can be faster then with real people for just the dungeon. At least wipes are rare and you can control the speed a bit.
I ended up getting Amaro a month 1/2 into SHB thanks to trusts, got the title too so it worked out.. Never gonna touch trusts again though lol
Used the trusts to get my DRG from 70 to 80. It was a painful experience and I'm never going to use it to level again.
More than bunny boys, I would be very happy with a Lupin race being added. I think your points on inventory, glam, scaling dungeons, and everything else was also on point. Housing I think being a keystone and attractive feature that the existing and new players want to be functional - probably the most important thing they can fix right now.
For Stormblood bosses (all fights are single healer single tank 6 dps)
Lakshmi: a joke, 1:30 fight
Susano: same, just slightly longer due to main mechanic
Shinryu: relatively easy, should never encounter the harder mechanics as your dps will skip them.
Byakko: again rather easy, stop DPSing at around 65% and start again once he does the bullet hell to skip free fall mechanic.
Tsukuyomi: Aside from the moon mechanic relatively easy, just got to remember to drop your meteors in the right place.
Suzaku: the hardest one here, the phoenix and Simon says are still a threat, but once understood she can be dropped rather easily
Seiryu: Like Suzaku he's rather hard, should know all mechanics up to towers in 2nd phase, dps should kill him at that point.
You can skip the freefall for Byakko? How does that work? Also, I feel like Seiryu has always been a joke mechanically, just difficult cause of DPS check, not now of course.

I've been playing about a month. Got Smn to lvl 50 and then tried other classes. Fell in love with conjurer and became a lvl 31 white mage last night. It seems I have an instinct for healing.

Zepla HQ I’m also impressed with you finding some of them. I know the pvp mounts are super rare, and other mounts (like the Morbol) can have as few as 40 in a whole data center (as is the case in mine), but I was thoroughly impressed by you finding footage of the pterodactyl mount. As far as I know, that might be the second publicly available footage of one so you truly snagged a massively rare find!
I can only imagine how much effort this took, and as a member of this community, thank you for making this video a resource that is available to us.
since you brought it up, here's a12s farming advice (learned this when aiming for BLU BiS):
you can do this with 5 people: 3 dps, 1 tank, 1 healer unsync. your dps is pretty much enough provided you know your rotation well enough & are level 80.
you can stomp through the first phase easy enough w/o doing any mechanics really. you no longer need tank LB to live during phase transition. aoe mitigation is enough. each dps should immediately take their positions at south, east, and west and healer & tank stack in the front for the mechanics. after that it's just dodging. so long as nobody dies, you shouldn't have to deal with portals or tethers. if you do have to do said portals, make sure all but tank go in. for tethers, blues go separate, red & green stick together. he should be dead around that point though.
i highly suggest only bringing 5 for this one because it makes mechanics so much easier to deal with for people who don't really know the fight.

Grinded it out during stormblood, it took me about 5 months of legitimate hell... (synced heavensward extremes intensifies)
Met a lot of cancerous individuals (-cough- horrid mentors), my blacklist got a lot of love... but also met a lot of lovely people too!
It was one hell of a rollercoaster however if I had to do it over again, I would. I found it extremely rewarding when I helped a team of sprouts clear tricky synced content ^-^
P.s: failing the tortoise guildhest due to language barrier of the tank gave me PTSD, my freebie guildhest ;w;

She didn't really talk about how to obtain them if that option is gone, though, which is fair. There were a bunch that before you could get just for being subscribed to the game for long enough.
A friend and I went into A12S as dual PLD. When Tank LB beam came up, we both used Rampart, Convalescence-Clemency, shot Intervention at each other and survived with almost no damage done (had a ridiculously good laugh about it the rest of the fight). When the adds came up, we shot opposite directions and ran clockwise. Once we were out, we pretty much followed the mechanics until we got to split puddles. Since we couldn't heal, we tanked as much as we could until I had to use Hallowed and died. He immediately used Hallowed and was able to finish it with about 2% of his health left. If a player is seasoned enough, the mechanics are easy enough to read if you wipe the first time like we did. I'm sure there's a more optimal way to unsync it with no more than 2 people, but that's the best I have. Good luck and happy hunting y'all!

It's not crazy to think they'll add it eventually since it's SE's own IP, so they have no license agreement issues blocking it like with Yokai, Monster Hunter or Garo mounts.
Yeah I started playing FFXIV when the promotion was going on, because I got into this from playing FFXV and saw a quest involving this game. Couldn’t get the mount in time though :’(
Every other FF crossover event has repeated at least once. So did the DQ and Yo-kai events. I wouldn't be surprised if the the XV event was repeated at some point in the future.
Oddly enough when I first tried FF14 shortly before Stormblood was due to be released U quit during the 30 day free trial. Saw footage of it recently perhaps a month ago and after a bit of a hard time remembering my accounts and passwords, recovered my file.
Apparently I'd bought the Heavensward collector edition because it was there with all my old toons. They were all lvl 4-18 but I remembered nothing so started afresh. I learnt how to effectively send myself gil via the market before deleting them though.
I'm glad I did start over as an Arcanist than Thaumarurge. I love the summoner job for all solo related play. But when I need to get through group content I switch to Scholar! The ultimate versatility.
Can't get that kind of switch with black mage which is what my old character was going to have.
Either way it's going to be hard for another mount to beat my Griffin. I prefer mounts meant to fly with wings or engines, with my WoL comfortably saddled on it. And the mount is big enough to take her weight.
Just got back into the game, havent played since vanilla. Your videos have been great to listen to, very helpful for a returning player and I love your voice! Wish I was on your server xD
the skyslipper mount looks like some dragonball stuff, I could completely imagine a Capsule Corp logo on the side.

Keep an eye out for the Moogle Tomestone of Law Event starting next week. A number of these mounts will be available for currency earned in the event, some of them like Ixion not easy to get these days.

For people watching this now, the Yo-kai event is back so the Whisper Go-Go and the Whisper A-Go-Go mounts are up with the event till patch 5.4. There is also a new mount after obtaining all 17 Yo-kai weapons the Jibanyan Couch mount will be yours.

Hello warriors of Light, im a new player and this guide is helpful. ARR MSQ grind is real.
It is quite the grind, but it is totally worth it (especially if you don't try to race through and just let yourself get immersed in the story). If you are only playing a little at a time, that MSQ grind will be shortened with the release of patch 5.3 (still waiting on a date for this, I think people are guessing early to mid July)
@@nathanflannery3031 yeah that's the pro. They are about to rework this an I'm on level 34 quests (lvl 39 pal) and I don't know if I should just quit for know and come back later. I am having fun playing tho and really want my dark knight

@@xXA7XxGunslingerXx If the grind is getting to you try doing something else. I know when I'm feeling a bit burned out from the emotional strength of the story I go work on leveling a difrent job. There's a ton of different stuff to do.

considering they eventually added the rewards from the Final Fantasy 13 event on the mog station, I woun't be suprised if thats where that mount will eventually end up appearing

@@eshbena i was ineterested in the garo mounts but i'm not into the PVP stuff so i was kind of bumbed that there was no other way to get these mounts, you never know maybe they'll decide to put these mounts on the mog store or even they may appear in the mog event in the game where you can get stuff like that from collecting the mog tombstones

Started playing FF14 about a month ago and just stumbled across this guide. While a lot of these are cool, I think that Firebird is going to be my first major goal that thing looks awesome. Also, having a ton of fun with the rest of the game and hope there's a ton of the quests with the Manderville gang.

For the first tank mounts: soloing does not work. You have to duo it at the very least. (I did Garuda 20 times before I noticed the counter not going up)

Farmed O4S and O12S on patch 5.5 need to know:
O4S: did with 6 people, 1 tank/1 healer. mechanics that are important to know: grand cross alpha and delta.
O12S: full party, mechanics needed part 1: tanks need to know all mechanics, healers need to know where to stand with stack markers and everybody needs to know fundamental synergy.
part 2: all mechanics need to be known so you dont die off aoes and for the "Hello World" mechanic we employ the cheese called " Goodbye World" where all dps kill themselves once the cast goes off

The SDS Fenrir is also the fastest mount in the game. I was wondering how my fiance was driving faster than me, thought it was lag at first...Nope. Its just faster on the ground and in the air. Makes sense I suppose, being a motorcycle.

Is Alexander even soloable? I've been stuck at A2-1 for ages now because my DPS is the only lvl 80 I have.
Yes, you can solo some of Alexander. There's definitely some that aren't really. Depending on the boss, there's mechanics that require either enough DPS to beat the boss before the mechanic that requires multiple people or just need at least one additional person. But, you'll probably need a level 80 tank. PLD is a good choice since it has Clemency for heals.
