Lamborghini:- we will make only 186 cars but say that we made 350. Ferrari:- we will make as many as we can sell for 5 million but say that we only made 500.
I know it's a massive cliché these days to say "my dream car is a Lamborghini", but I just got into high school when this car came out and I will never forget how my friends and I used sit outside a dealership in Cape Town staring at the only SV in the country. This car will ALWAYS be my dream, no matter the stereotypes. Great video guys
It's not a cliche, we can totally relate to that and were the same as you guys. Such an underrated car and an iconic true Lamborghini too! What's not to love?
@@LiGHTA77 that's a nice way to think of it. If we had more time we would have been able to get both! Amazing insight of Carl on the car AND more of the car being driven hard and making some great sound!
Only 5 LP670 SVs had a manual transmission, an absolute dream car. They aren't any made in verde ithaca but could you imagine? I think the only thing the LP670 is lacking in is the single clutch gearbox. Sure it kicks but its not the same.
Muhammad Bhyat the car sold ages ago but at the time of filming it was for sale. We think he was quite honest and accurate with his comments, not always being positive and just saying it how it is 👀
@@supercar.driver to me this video sounds like he was trying to sell it to me, at the time the car was for sale, dont need to excuse his job as a trader, dealer.
No, there are a few manual LP-670-4 SV’s. However, only six were built. As far as I know, three are in the US, two of which are painted in ‘Bianco Canopus’, and the other in ‘Balloon White’. Two are in Switzerland, one of which is painted in ‘Rosso Vik’, and the other in ‘Marrone Eklipsis’. I have no information on the sixth one however. They are much more valuable than ‘regular’ LP-670 SV’s.
Imagine how rare it would be if this particular sv were a manual? How many sv manuals were made? Like 5? I totally agree with his discussion about the aventador sv. Oversaturated the market. Plus they brought the aventador s out after the sv. The s model has always preceded the sv. (I guess on the miura as the islero and countach never had an sv model) i feel like the aventador s is better than the sv with the rear wheel steering. Didn't follow that process. Im sure its profit driven.
Lambo have seen the demand of the SV and are just building more and more and more each time around whereas this is the last true SV - limited numbers and no compromises
@@HouseOfPetrol Lamborghini made them from factory. You have to consider that at the time, the clientele buying them viewed the manual transmission as obsolete compared to the newer e-gear. In retrospect, it is quick jarring we were so ignorant. It was also available to get the gated manual transmission for the Reventon, but sadly nobody opted for one.
I think this car can even compete with a Zonda Cinque. SImilar power, paddle shift, NA V12, but there are also major differences which makes the comparison interesting.
This car was my dream car growing up, i never actually own one but I did have a toy model of this car in 🍊🟠🐐😍, this will always be the greatest Lamborghini of all time from Italy 💯🇮🇹👿🦁🐐 plus these cars are rare and only a small amount was built, even the Aventador not as rare as this beast 🦁💯 of car 🚗, this will always always be my favourite lambo.
knocks on Diablo’s for not being driver-friendly, but then says, “it’s a Murcielago SV; how often are you gonna drive it?”.. haha can’t that also be said for a Diablo? the charm of a super car is that it’s a fun experience - they’re not meant to be comfortable like a daily driver (modern stuff is becoming less & less of an experience as they try ever-harder to set faster lap times, produce less emissions, & incorporate more technology).. 1990-2010 was the golden age of cars; new cars don’t care about the fun anymore, just being faster than the older model & having more unnecessary electronics to charge customers more money
I just want to see the car driving and wanna hear it!! I don't want to hear this guy talk about it for 15 minutes! You can voice him over or something right?
15 min of video with one of the best engine in the world ...and we did not even here it ....you are fail...the guy story ok ...but we are here mainly for the car....and no sound ....how you got so many subs ...man ...wtf
I wonder if this is the same SV tested by Fifth Gear. They drove a right hand drive orange SV when they tested one years ago. th-cam.com/video/ns8sgcjJ494/w-d-xo.html
compared to the 670SV they are - 8x as many... the point is they are building bigger build runs of 'special' cars.. Pista won't be limited, Huracan Perf wasn't, SVJ will be bigger than SV...
Well, they just want to make more money with bigger sales numbers and with potentially more people who can afford the cars... Since they will most likely go up in value over time anyway due to them probably being the last cars with big NA engines, it will profit everyone so it's a plus for me at least. Exclusivity is still there for the cars like the Centenario, and a few others.
It’s just a big sales pitch for a car that he is trying to sell. The Murcie wouldn’t know which way an SVJ went. Using the ‘investment angle’ as justification to buy a Lamborghini, is sketchy at best...
Terry Forth not at all. The car sells itself IMO. He has a very valid point about rarity of this when compared to what has come after. 670SV is a special car and nice to hear from someone in the know 👍
Sorry, I guess that I had the mistaken impression that your channel caters towards car enthusiasts, as opposed to investors and speculators. I am by no means an expert on the investment side of this ‘business’ however; wouldn’t Lambos be one of the first to fall, if there is a turn in the market?
We are no experts - but true special, limited run cars like this will always have more demand than supply so imagine this will mean prices will remain stable. Always thought these are undervalued.
TheSUPERCARDRIVER Well, I am by no means an expert either! My thoughts are simply that Lamborghini as a brand has more fickle customers then does Ferrari or Porsche, and I believe this is substantiated by the investment potential angle. Either way, I choose to celebrate how good the car is to drive, than how much it is worth at the end of ownership.
What`s the fucking point of owning if you don`t drive ... some people are just plain stupid .. rich but stupid . This cars were made to be driven ... that`s just such a pity ... wonderful car yet 9000 miles in 9 years that`s just stupid
I get where you're coming from with the statement of only 9000 miles in 9 years.. But dont forget the maintenance of these cars is on a whole other level than a normal car. And that the resale value is hugely related to the miles... and thats important on a car with only 186 made. And when thinking about that aswell, you wouldn't want to take it to the track every month , because of its rarity and huge repaircosts. Also they are by no means comfortable cars, so you're not going to do 1000 mile roadtrips in them. All super / hypercars have that sort of mileage.... I'm by no means an investor or carflipper. I'm an enthiousiast driver, love doing trackdays (i love 2h from the nurburgring), live doing roadtrips .. if possible, i'd do them everyday or every month. But if i had a car like that , rarity / cost wise , i also would keep the mileage down , cause no matter how much money you have , nobody wants to sell a car like this and LOSE money on the sale... So these are cars you take out on a small evening drive , sundaymorning drive , and maybe 1 or 2 times to the track in a year (if you're that kind of driver), maybe some shows , and thats it... I know its a shame, all that engineering that went in it, really made to drive it's balls off, extremely good handling & massas of power.... but the high repair and maintenance cost doesnt justify that... And sadly investors/flippers and speculators ruined the market prices for cars like these , to the point it's to costly to drive it the way you want to 😥 Have a nice day
"Skydiving is fun, but you wouldnt do it 3 hrs a day". I love that. Perfect analogy for Lambos
Mark Bonikowsky yeah not heard that one before 😂😂
I love it

Both are a top 3 selection when it comes to all time best sounding V12’s. The screaming 6.5 in this or the 6.0 in the GTO
