The Murci SV is such a special car. There's a reason Evo magazine took it on that modern classics test along with the likes of a CGT, F1, Zonda and F40 etc. My favourite Lambo of all time and I'd choose it in a heartbeat over that 599!
The Murci is a 1% car which is what a supercar should be. And also an Athena poster car, if you see see one on the road they look so wide and low, especially in black or dark grey. Also the standard 640 looks so wedge shaped without all the stupid over styled add ons of the Huracan or Aventador. Gallardo and Murci ... both perfect wedge shaped dream cars. They have their faults, but have a charm because of that. The Italian TVR to the Ferrari....
I'm not even 1 min through this video and I have to applaud you for one of the coolest intros ever... The sound quality is just so good . You never fail to amaze me with your intros. 🙏🏻
Almost any 50's to 70's era V12 has these beaten on noise - especially those with 1 choke per cylibder The induction noise on multi carb applications adds so much to the mix that modern stuff simply doesn't often have. Best sounding V12 btw is probably McLaren F1 (with ITB's making a similar noise to carbs)
Definitely hit a soft spot for me considering that 1995-2005 era was also very special to me growing up. These two were a couple of my favorites, so this was filed under "My Favorite YT Videos." Made my heart (and ears) melt, thank you...

The GTO is like the grown up, well dressed brother where the SV is basically the younger brother that the older brother wishes he was. The SV will always be king in my books. Much more of a "supercar".
It feels like you teased it in the podcast months ago! Awesome video and Murcielago any day because it's an adventure every time you get in it, while with the GTO, it might not feel special every single time.

Your presentation is excellent and the filming and editing are the best I’ve seen in your content (2003 Grigio Avlon Manual Murcielago - (which you judged at 2018 City Concours) and 2013 Grigio Telesto Aventador owner). Of course you love the Murcielago...it was great seeing a Ferrari enthusiast become transfixed by the Murcielago experience but you need to experience a manual car...well done and keep the good work.

Nice video Sam. The SV sounds and looks incredible. The SV is 2088mm wide. Would be challenging on most UK roads. A great car for special occasions. The Performante is the first Lambo that you can use every day and it also sounds pretty good!

I don't know which one I'd choose, I'd say that I need to drive them back to back to know, but I'm sure it wouldn't help. I think it's the kind of comparison where your pick would change everyday, it is so insane, the two cars are brilliant but so different, yet so close on some points, it's really a hard pick. Well, guess you need both ! I was recently at Topaz, and saw a white GTO. I have to say, it's was beautiful. At c. £750k a piece now, the owner hadn't done too badly. Especially as one was gifted to him, yes he had two...!

As you said in your latest BTG video, this is definitely (on of) your best videos! I absolutely pissed myself when you went: “EEEE, BOOM! *screaming inaudible italian* whilst the Ferrari is like: wehwehwehhhhh la mille miglia and then we’ll have sum spaghettiiii”
I had the opportunity to switch between riding in a 599GTO and a F12 TDF. The GTO is definitely not as refined as the TDF but they are amazing cars to be included in any collection. Fortunately the collector has an affinity towards Ferrari V12. Love the video. Thank you for the distraction these days.
Of these i would have the GTO. But i'd take a manual Murcielago over any of them. Even the original Murcielago with 580 hp. I think you should test the first gen. Murcielago just to check it out. Nice video as always. And so good to see a new video. Keep up the great work.

They actually only made 186 SV's as the factory had to make room for the Aventador production line
