    I like the way that you put all the tenses together in organized, which give us the chance to see very clearly the difference between them then easily keep the whole picture at the memory. You are very smart. Thank you Alexa.

    I'm learning French at the Institut-Francais in London. Your videos are a nice complement and recap to those lessons. It's impossible to learn a language using an online course (in my opinion anyway, and based on experience of trying various online courses - you will never ever be able to have a proper real time conversation in that language) as nothing beats a real human teacher in a class room full of other students, but these videos are a great addition and enhancement. thank you.

      Millions of people each year learn to speak languages outside of a classroom, so to say it’s impossible is incorrect.

      Russell How do you go about learning through DuoLingo since the pronunciation is off? I've been wanting to learn French too but man I hate how it's so robotic and isn't anything like Spanish which has perfect pronunciation.

    Alexa, I’ve been studying French for a while, and found myself a bit stuck on verbs in the most important tenses (not to mention the others, which I hope you will also examine at some point!) It is so incredibly helpful to see the tenses together, and particularly to hear them pronounced together. For example, the comparison between le futur and le conditionnel first person je form: I had never realized that they are pronounced differently, albeit slight. What I think I'm hearing is that the ending to j'aurai is pronounced "ay" and j'aurais is pronounced with a short "eh." (i.e., “ai” endings are pronounced more like l'accent aigu “é” as in “né,” and “ais” endings are pronounced more like l'accent grave “è” as in mère.) Am I correct in this? I am so thankful to you for your videos, especially the verbs, and most especially for the 5-verb comparisons. Thank you, thank you! You are awesome!!

    PLEASE HELP ! I’m so confused by the amount of the Times used.
    1. The Bescherelle book (recommended by Alexa) uses way more Times and the Conditionelle Time is not even there, although its conjugation is matching with the Plus-que-Parfait (but it’s not the same thing!)
    2. Another book calls Passé Compose a compound (two word) Time although Alexa calls it simple Past tense. Thanks for any advice

    Is aller + infinitive used to create the near future tense? Eg. Je vais manger=I will eat, I am going to eat, Je vais regarder le film=I will watch/am going to watch the film?

    • @vesalroein1090
      @vesalroein1090 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      oui, c'est vrai, quand vous allez utiliser la vebe aller + infinitive, It is for the near future tense, therefore aller is much more near to being going to , rather that using WILL

      Context. Listen to her, they are the same pronunciation. My thought is that you need to know, or perhaps be aware of the spelling differences, particularly if you are doing written exams. Otherwise it's the context , as you say.

    Hello mam,I m confuse with these two word can you plz solve my confusion. .
    - tu as and vous avez are they same (you have)
    - ils ont and elles ont are also same (they have) .

    • @yoyogirl1256
      @yoyogirl1256 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Tenzin tsering
      'Tu' is informal you ( used to address some one personally known)
      'Vous' is formal yoy ( used to address some one unknown or show respect).
      So as you can see there are two ways of using 'avoir' with 'tu' and 'vous'. Both has same meaning.
      ils and elles are 'they' in different gender. French has gender in words. Masculine and feminine.
      Ils is masculine while elles is feminine.
      I suggest you study the genders before moving on to the verbs.
