Great tip! I'm a huge fan of the 1% principle: devote 1% of your day to X. 1% of 24 hours is about 14.5 minutes. Your 10-minute trick takes less than 1% of your day, but the results are exponential, or beyond. Thanks!
Also, blue light from my electronic device is the last thing I need before I retire. It sends the wrong message to my brain, that sleep is not on the agenda.
Its not "finding" the 10 minutes. Its more about how important it is, that 10 minutes is prioritied and most people do not do it. I do find the planning helpful but I am not disiplined enough. Will have to be very tough on myself. :)
I’m in a coma, 10 minutes before I turn in, and even worse in the morning before my 2 cups of coffee. I do my 10 minutes first thing before work, as my routine. Works for me.
Carl ... My problem is I think 10 minutes will not be enough so I don’t do it, do you recommend start and stop it after 10 minutes although I have not finished just to create the habit? Thanks
No problem. I actually do mine around 10pm once all my calls are finished. Also have a quick version of it (can be done in 5 mins) for those rare occasions I get home very late.
Carl Pullein . That’s a long day. I try hard to balance things by sleeping 8, working 8, and living 8. I’ve found that people generally get their work done in the time permitted, filling up extra time permitted with busy work. A compressed 8 hour day, leaves little room for anything else but focus. I greatly value your content and have implemented many of your ideas and methods, along with the Strategic Coach program previously discussed with you.
And with the C-19 shutdowns/restrictions, etc. 10 minutes might even be a bit too much time : (((( Stay safe, stay healthy, be watchful and keep up the good work.
This tip and In Box zero at the end of each day as well as other great advice from Carl over the past two years has changed my life. Thank you CP!
Thank you. And I’m so happy to hear these tips have helped you.

Glad you like it, Thomas. :-)
Very basic! Very powerful!
Thank you for the great reminder! Carl is the best & continues to help with all of my productivity challenges.
Thank you for watching. Glad to have been of help.
The "Golden 10" as you previously called it! I've done this for quite a while now and it truly does help keep me pointed in the right direction.
WOW! Thank you. So glad it has worked for you.
So so good. Thank you.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Another great tip! I have not done this but comitting now to do this effective today. Thank you.
It can change everything :-)
Perfect video. I hope you get 10 mil views!
Hahaha, thank you :-)
Great idea Carl, thank you! This is a piece I've been needing. I'm excited to add this into my routine.
Good luck, Maureen. It's really all about creating the habit. :-)
I believe, at this point, the #1 habit is keeping your hands clean!
Bruno Anjos indeed
True.
This simple tip is very powerful for my productivity!
Happy to hear it works for you, Tiago
Keep up your good work.
Thank you, Sue.
Bingo - this is a great tip. Thanks!
You're welcome, Ethan.
I am one of the morning people when it comes to planning. I am going to try your method, Carl.
The idea is you don't worry about tomorrow's work when you get home and you start the day knowing exactly what you want to start with.
Golden 10
Absolutely.
Also, blue light from my electronic device is the last thing I need before I retire. It sends the wrong message to my brain, that sleep is not on the agenda.
Think we answered that one, Jim.... I hope :-)

I suppose I use the term "find" loosely. You're right about prioritising the ten minutes.

I would do it before I close down my working day. I'm usually out for the count at the end of the day too.

Ah, I find when someone begins this it does take a little longer. But as it becomes a habit, you will find it generally only takes ten minutes.
Off topic observation: you look like a singer I like called Greg Graffin
Hahahahaha I'll be looking in to him.
How many minutes? I think you didn't say it enough
Francesco Noya I think it was 10 minutes 😎
Hahahahaha
Oh, I misread your idea. 10 minutes before closing out the work day, in my case at 5p.... I like it, sorry O wise one.

10 mins, with 2+8, simple, done : )))) End of... ...
And with the C-19 shutdowns/restrictions, etc. 10 minutes might even be a bit too much time : ((((
Stay safe, stay healthy, be watchful and keep up the good work.
Yeah, probably right there :-)
