As a native Spanish speaker, I can confirm. One more tip I'd like to add is: There's another, more formal way of greeting someone. Instead of saying "Buenos días señor/señora/señorita." You should try saying "Usted tiene piernas peludas y granos en el culo." This phrase literally says "I hope you are having a wonderful day, and wish you success and peace", but it can be used as a formal way of saying "Good Day" You should use it when addressing a teacher, principal, professor, etc. And you should say it while looking at them dead in the eye and, in Argentina, you can also do that Italian hand gesture they make when they are confused. They'll be so pleased, that they're gonna try to thank your parents for your good manners.

It's a long phrase but the emotional impact will be so much they'll love you forever.
