    My parents have an old JD brush mower and it works great. That 1 piece of equipment has helped so much in cleaning up there place it was worth every dollar..

    Hello Ben, cleaned up real nice, created more space to bring in more firewood. Like the saying can never have to much money or firewood or something like that. Looks like the weather is cooperating. You two have a nice weekend

    • @OGAOutdoors
      @OGAOutdoors  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Mike I’m not sure this space will get enough sun to store firewood. I might could keep logs there. Might be a good place to do my splitting time will tell. Take care, Ben.

    Great video Ben! Two very tough pieces of equipment there! That brush cutter and the JD 5045E makes a great pair!

    • @OGAOutdoors
      @OGAOutdoors  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks Marty they do work nicely together. I was a little concerned the 720 might be too much for the tractor but it handles it very well. Take care, Ben.

    Nice video I've got the 5055d 2010 and a 2022 bush-whacker hd-72 with it being comparable to your 720x as far as specs and cut capacity

      I’m really pleased with the woods it’s a tough machine. Thanks for watching take care, Ben.

    I finished my summer bush hogging this week. I only have about 17 acres so it wasn't too bad. Ground bees got me a couple of times though.

      @OGAOutdoors  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I only have about 2 acres I’m actually mowing but I keep expanding. Those bees are mean something big and yellow nailed me on the calf the first day when I was setting up the bush hog. Take care, Ben

    Hi Ben! That Brush Bull is a tank! I strongly considered getting one, unfortunately the closest dealer was quite a drive. Great work on the property. It's looking a lot better. Take care my friend!

      Yes Mike I’m super impressed with it. I bought it used about 3 years ago only paid $750. I need to replace the lower seal on the gearbox if not for that nothing wrong with it. I just keep an eye on the gear lube and let her eat. Take care, Ben.

    Great video! I was planning on running a 7’ mower but looking at the PTO hp I think I better stick with 6’ implements! Is that a Woods RC6 or the 720?

    • @OGAOutdoors
      @OGAOutdoors  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Jason glad you came over hope you stick around. I have the 720 I said in the video 4” material but I think it is rated for 3”. Take care, Ben.

      @@OGAOutdoors I heard you talk about only using it to cut 3” material instead of 4”, I guess I should of known it wasn’t the RC6, I think they’re only able to cut like1.5-2” material..I’ve been looking at so many brands and models they’re all starting to run together!! keep up the great videos!!

    I’m looking at purchasing a 5045e , 2wd .
    What’s your thoughts , hindsight on a 2wd tractor ? And regrets , or decisions made different ?

    • @OGAOutdoors
      @OGAOutdoors  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Ryan I’d go with the same tractor if I had to buy another. It’s what I need for gardening, bush hogging, moving logs etc. I’m not out working in extreme wet conditions. I’m sure there have been times when it would have helped but I’ve never thought man I should have gotten 4wd. Hope this helps.

    How have you liked the 5045e so far? Have you ever thought you should of went for the 5055e?

    • @OGAOutdoors
      @OGAOutdoors  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Danny thanks for watching sir. The 5045 does everything I need plenty of power. I think it would be hard to tell the difference between the two in my opinion. It operates this bush hog fine and it is a tank. Take care, Ben.

      I didn’t cut it last year but it needs it this year. I’m guess I’m making the wife happy not the turkeys lol.

    Bush hogs always sound like the world is coming to an end and they are fixin to fly apart when cutting brush and saplings. Made for it and no harm to them at all.Little big box store 3 point mowers: not so much....I've cut 4" with my Bush Hog 286: It'll do it.If my tractor will push it over the BH will obliterate it.

    • @OGAOutdoors
      @OGAOutdoors  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for watching Amos. I try to limit what I cut to about 3”. I’m not so much worried about the hog as I am the tractor. I just wonder how all the extra vibration effects the tractor. Take care, Ben.
