  • The tractor that does everything! John Deere 5045e! Today I hooked up my disk and put my bucket back on the front end loader to get several jobs finished. I used the front end loader to haul compost and was able to get a break in the weather so I could disk my garden.

    Great intro demo, about the famous JD quick attach 👍😉 Ho boy your truck was full of it for sure by looking at the level of your truck 😮👍 Great violin music during your rear plow therapy with your nice tractor 👍😉 Great garden Sir Cheers !!!

      Thanks Dave didn't know it was famous though it was the expensive quick attach. I think the truck was bottomed out it was a rough slow drive. Glad you got some therapy from the garden appreciate you stopping by take care brother.

    Looking at this exact tractor. Love the traditional 2wd tractor, made like it should be. But yes, your truck was loaded haha

      @@OGAOutdoors good deal! I’ve seen some for sale with low hours, not sure why. But they’re without loaders. Could be they’re not used enough on a farm to justify keeping.

    I had dreamt alot of living on a farm earlier in my life, and I would drive this tractor and do land prep and have fun! ☺ What are you growing?!

    • @OGAOutdoors
      @OGAOutdoors  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      We grow just the basic garden vegetables. Nothing real fancy corn, tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, squash etc.

    Love your tractor, Ben, awesome! It really does do it all. Did you say the compost was from the cotton gin? Loved those raised beds. Your main garden looks big! Thanks and see you next time! -Brad

    • @OGAOutdoors
      @OGAOutdoors  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks Brad yes that is the main garden we eat a lot no I have to grow extra to share with the critters. Yes you heard correct cotton gin, when they gin cotton all the trash is sent to a big pile and just lays there and turns into compost great stuff. The farm I grew up on had an old cotton gin and my mom used the compost for everything. Thanks again.

    Look under the right floorboard where the joystick cables connect to the mid valve........If the cables have a bend radius of less than about 3 inches you will be replacing the tilt one in time, depending how much you use the loader.... Being as ours is used constantly to load bundles of Hay into trailers 3 years 3 cables.... I solved the problem and videoed the cable substitution.......

    Is there any possibility this pickup truck was overloaded??? I'll have to get something to prepare a garden this year. Would you recommend a bottom plow and/or disk? Thanks!

    • @OGAOutdoors
      @OGAOutdoors  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes it was riding pretty low for sure. All I use to break ground is my box blade with the tines lowered down then follow up with the disk.

    Do you get your Gin trash at the old Ried Gin? I get loads from them every year. Garden looks Good!! Miles

    • @OGAOutdoors
      @OGAOutdoors  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes I do it’s about 10 miles from me. Hard to beat for the price I’ll probably be going back. Growing up we had an old cotton gin on our farm that belonged to my great grandfather and their was a small mountain of the trash my mom used it for everything.

    People keep telling me that for loader work I need a 4wd. Is that so or can a 2wd handle it? I’m talking cleaning barns, moving dirt or gravel. Thanks

    • @OGAOutdoors
      @OGAOutdoors  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I’m sure the 4wd has advantages but I’ve done just fine without. I don’t get out in muddy conditions I work as the weather permits. I’ve moved gravel and dirt and I’ve never wished I had 4wd. Here is a link to my last video I was doing a little bucket work nothing extreme. Thanks for watching take care, Ben.
