Here in Poland, people are 100% pro Catholic, home of the late Pope john Paul II, yet divorce is legal and easily approved as long as both parties decided to separate because of their valid reasons. However, their religious beliefs never changed and still committed to it. Faint in God is personal beliefs, whereas divorce is a state of choice. If the marriage is strong it will remain strong till the end, if the marriage is toxic what would be the good in it. I myself separated for 20 years, my ex husband has his own family with kids and yet me, I feel being imprisoned for 20 years. We all have different cases and experiences in life, what we all need is equal right and opportunity to live the life that will give us peace of mind. By the way, we don't choose bad things in our lives as we are accountable in any circumstances or consequences for choosing what we want.
How sad you have a broken family but you are proud of it because both of you are happy. Its not gonna work here in the phil. we pray to God during marriage a happy family but when one becomes abusive we expect to see him in jail not to see him in a honeymoon with his mistress .gets
but when a couple get a divorce and remarry… the marital/family problem becomes complicated

Please keep going. No one wants a broken marriage in the same way that no one wants to stay in a toxic relationship for life.
You don't know what many of us have gone thru yet we are forced to be alone in fear of being sued because we could not adford the cost of annulment.
We are sad to have failed marriage but shall we remain broken because we can't afford to pay for our freedom?
It is about time. Thank you for thinking about us.
Divorce does not destroy marriage because people who are in love and are happy would not do it. People will always work their relationships out as long as they have reasons to do. Otherwise, give us the chance to try again and move forward from our failure.

Kaya ang pag aasawa / kasal nuon at dapat hanggang ngayon pinahahalagan dahil ito ay banal sapagkat Diyos ang gumawa ng kasal.

Divore tapos kahit kasalan pa ng babae, gutso parin ng hati 50% ng pera sa lalaki tapos pa child support pa. Mga salbahis na babae. Gina gamit pa yung dahilan na ng loloko daw mga lalaki eh sila naman ang dahilan ng mga problema tsaka sila rin man loloko.

I agree with Mr. Lagman. For children - there should be joint custody. Buti yan para malaman din ng mga lalaki kung paano mag alaga ng bata. Then when they reach 12 years of age there should be a law which parent to stay permanently.

We cannot have divorce here...becoz there are many laws not well implemented. It will be an added burden to mother's that they can be easily left by their husband after making her pregnate for so many children...leaving her for being housewife in a longest time and now she will work for the future of her children. This law is favorable to playboy men!

Using a secular point of view, no religion involved, won't these same divorced abusive men or promiscious women be free to deceive other people into marriage and start the cycle all over again?
Now you will have 2 or more broken marriages and families by that same predator. We could have a broken society in a few years time. Maybe this is why marriage is a lifetime contract so these predators are not free to wreak havoc?

Wala pa namang divorce, marami ng hiwalay dahil sa infidelity and abuse. Children of broken marriages are everywhere. Divorce is to put written end to it. If you want to stay in an abusive, unhealthy and unhappy marriage, that's your choice, so don't get divorce. Let your children live in an unhappy, unstable, unhealthy and toxic environment.

Why not make marriage expire just like the Driver's, LTOPF and Professional Licenses. When the married couple like, they will renew it. If one or both does not like to continue living together, it is automatic without trouble to endure. If the will renew, then it will be additional money for government.
