Today we visit one of the many abandoned houses in France. The story underlying this property is rather sad. It was lived in by the French family "Forgot": the eternal loving couple Maurice and Jeanette, with their son Jules. Maurice and Jeanette were already married for more than 50 years when disconsolately Maurice passed away. When a few years later also Jeanette departed this earth, it was all up to the son Jules to maintain the upkeep of the house or sell it. Gloomily enough, Jules became disabled in a work-related accident short hereafter and was not able to. As the day of today, 9 years later, nature has reclaimed the front garden and seems to become the new owner of this French family's home.

Well, we were born into this world with nothing, and we leave with nothing. I don't think either one has lingered there in their home. I think they are together again. The only thing we can take with us, is Love. Thank you for this beautiful video.

Hi Maureno, the 19th century is actually 1800 - 1899 and the 20th century is from 1900 - 1999. The thing on the wall at 32:50 was a butterfly, moths don't fold their wings like that. Such a beautiful home and a real shame what happened to their son. Fifty years married is a very long time for any couple so they must have been deeply in love. Thank you for sharing, much love to you and Remon. xx💖

You can tell how cozy and loving this home was. This home is still in great condition. Some mildew here and there, and some collapsing of roof, this can still be sold as is!
Have someone go through EVERYTHING! All paperwork, photographs and other things of importants, donate the clothing with the son's permission. Once removed, sell the house with the furnishings.
This is still a good home for any family, it just needs a little help.💕

1:50 Even though the son is disabled, I wonder why he cannot sell or rent the house. Did the son become disabled before the parents died?
4:49 That is not much dust on the table for 10 years. I get more than that in my home after a month. :)
7:20 Looks like someone has emptied all the valuables from the drawers. No other relatives?
13:03 Push the button and it spins around pushing the ashes inside. My parents had one of these.
    21:02 Good advice.

This was such a sad story...I even was crying watching it. Just so so so SAD. I wonder if their son is still alive in a home somewhere??. Glad you had someone with you. I am 70yrs old and yes we older people to think about our last days. My mom is 90yrs. and still alive and active. I am blessed. Grant - I really do love your vedios very much. Continue on with your great work. I am retired and watch your shows all day. 😊👍. Time slips away so fast..just like our life's. 😱😢. Thank you to you all 😁. Until the next time we meet. Hi Maureno from winning team Explomo, Again another lovely video, which I enjoyed watching. - You were showing so much empathy, when you
told the really sad story about the son becoming disabled due to a work accident and his parents passing away. - Nevertheless is it wonderful to
see the still completely intact house with surprisingly pristine rooms. - The furniture and the interior decoration is quite beautiful and is looking
somehow fairly wealthy but still very cozy. - I especially liked the typical French style curtains. - On the other hand it was also sad to see the
forgotten items of a lifetime from this couple, the once beloved artefacts of their life. - I wonder if these items could tell stories?? All these
papers, the photographs, the many small things like souvenirs, the plates on the wall, saying, that they were 50 years in love together,.. and
so on . - Maureno again your wonderful and entirely sensitive words of living the life to your full potential, to be aware about the impermanence
of life, .. touched me once more so deeply! - These highly thoughtful reflections with a clear philosophical touch are always adding a very unique
quality to your videos. - Simply awesome! - Great video, beautifully presented and narrated, dear Maureno! - Wishing you all the best, much love
and lots of blessings! - Stay safe, bro - peace and kindest regards! - Hope to see you again!

What a well-worded comment once again, Sir. Maybe you could teach these Dutch people how to speak better English. A Dutch accent is clearly audible in their videos. You, however, write without any accent. I guess, that they would be very happy to learn from you.

I really admire and appreciate Jeannette's embroidery skills. She not only had talent, but immense patience. I've done embroidery myself and if it's the type I've done, you have to be so precise. One wrong stitch and your design is wrecked. Thank you for this video.

Anyway, glad you weren't alone! Did really enjoy watching explorers getting in and getting out of the property. Thank you for another great explore.

Beautiful home. They had collected a lot of cherished items. I love the way some items are from old and some are more modern. You are so correct in saying that life is fleeting very quickly for all of us, and may end soon. It makes me sad to see things like eye glasses, false teeth and things that was so needed when they were alive, and certainly not needed anymore. Thank you for an interesting tour. Take care good care of yourself. We want to keep you around for a long time. You are such a gentle person.

Loved the "pep talk", Maureno. I also love the way you tell the previous homeowners story while you explore. Your voice is so soothing & compassionate. I'm also a big admirer of your photography skills! 🤩 This was a beautiful house. Such a shame that the Son could not have done something with it. And you're right, you just never know how or when your life's going to end. Which is why, at age 62, I'm starting to get rid of the things that I haven't used or thought of in 5-10 years, while I still can. Don't want to leave a mess behind! 😁 Thank you, Maureno. 👍💌😍

It's sad to see and to hear about the son who is disabled cause I am, not in a home yet but it won't be long. And it saddens me to think about what happens when your gone. I know that my home will just go to the bank even though I bought it for my son's who still live with me. But the bank and who ever will get everything I own couse the boys won't care. I just had to say that. You did a good job and thanks 😊

Hello, They must of had a happy life together to still be in love after 50 yrs married. The lady did do the tapestry's, her tapestry rings were there. Also as you said she must of knitted her lovely cardigans/ jumpers as well. The indented blocks you found in the little box on the dining room sideboard were rests for chinese chopsticks. Hence the chinese takeaway cardboard in the basement. It was poignant and sad too, yes its hard to remember to live our lives for each day when we are caught up in this crazy world. Beautifully done lads, thank you. 👍🏻😊🧓🏻

Oh Maureno, you have an old man's head on a young body, you are so sweet. This house is still in good enough condition to repair, a lot of items in the attic were for repairs. It would be a shame for it to go to ruin. If the man is in a home, they may have some hold over the house to pay for his care. Only one crucifix, but one little bellow, so you must be happy!

Beautiful home. Love the hand crafted wall hangings. They are known as 'Cross-Stitch'. A relaxing way to pass time with incredable results. Also the wheel tray that turns in the kitchen cupboard is known as a 'Lazy Susan' .Love you message of living to your fullest. Much love back to you. Debbie from New Zealand.

It’s actually called needlepoint! Cross stitch forms an “X”. No doubt Janet passed her time creating those beautiful tapestries.

Maybe someone has already told you but if not, the oriental rectangular box in the dining room on the buffet table had chop stick rests in it - not a puzzle. Love you guys!!

This is the only urban exploration channel I watch, just because of how professional and respectful ya'll approach your love for urban exploring. I know that you 2 gentlemen are going to do excell in life. God bless you and I can't wait for the next video.

Thank you for telling the viewers out there to live our lives to the fullest and then to live a happy and healthy life. Everyday I say this prayer. This is the day that the Lord has made and I will rejoice and be glad in it. I also tell the Lord thank you for another day for myself and my family.
May God give you a happy and healthy life and for those that work for you.
    God Bless🙏

Hallo! That is such a lovely home and it is such a shame that no one is enjoying it. We have seen what happens to these beautiful places when no one is living in them. It will be interesting to see what this looks like in a few more years. This would make a nice vacation rental. If only...

What a gem of a home.. It's like a moment in the family's life that's frozen forever in time. I love all of the solid timber furniture, but you can see that they lived a very simple life.
Yes, Maureno - we must live every single day as if it's our last - because it may well be. We will all die one day, and it pays to have a legal will in place so that your wishes can be carried out by someone else when you're gone. For example, my husband and I don't have any children, and we want our home and everything to be sold, and the money given to a university to pay for the educations of several Veterinarians. We want to pay for their educations so they can help animals. (I'm sure you'd like to see it pay for some Doctors' educations - but we really do prefer animals to people). I wish both of you the very best with your own careers : )

The hand made pictures that were in the house were called needle Point. It is something women enjoy doing for it is like sewing but you make a picture out of it. It is something I do myself. Great video. Much love and respect to you. Stay safe. ❤️ from 🇺🇸

I am surprised the neighbors do not complain about the house (it looks close to others) and that the city does not take it over and sell it for the owner.
