This time we are exploring a place with a rich yet devastating history. This historical French estate located near the French coastline has served as a hideout against the nazis during the second world war (WW2). As it has already been neglected for several years now, nature did its job and the state of the property is degrading day by day. Because it is such a historical mansion, the state is protecting it and can not get demolished. During its last years, the property served as a hotel. Now, this place is not welcoming any guests anymore, and we are one of the first people to visit it again. Enjoy our tour in the enchanting abandoned "Mansion of Angels".

The wood mouldings that are all painted would have been spectacular with only stain and varnish. It's too bad someone did that to all the wood trim in the house.

Just got up, had a good sleep. But anyways, that's a great find, the mansion is astonishing beautiful ! to bad got abandoned and left behind. Those two mopeds are "Honda Fino" it's a modern classic type. love the blue coach. Keep safe guys and thank you for sharing this awesome find.

Loved this place! Gorgeous property! Sooo sad that it is in such bad shape! Vandalism breaks my heart!!!😞 I don’t understand what thrill people get out of destroying others property 😔 The windows, doors, architecture of this property were phenomenal!!! Very sad that sooo much of the wooden furniture, mopeds, bikes & sooo much more couldn’t be saved & used for someone who would cherish it😞 What a fabulous, historic property. This place was beautiful , but with a bit of a fix up it could be even more beautiful , it's a shame it did not get saved and mold and nature has taken over, you could still see the beauty in it ,i loved the mirror in the bathroom, you found some interesting things in the house i'm surprised they were still there, what a wonderful unique place , thank you for sharing this wicked adventure , till the next adventure , take care and as always peace out :)

I notice a common thing with these abandoned mansions, they’re all up in a hill or very, very far away from people. It must have been very hard to maintain, I’m talking about utilities and water.

Before I was told about my daughter Natalia was sick in August. After many test the doctors funded she was infected by fungus to grows in the area to produce Valley Fever. She was in terrible pain in her chest, cough, fever and tiredness. Now she feeling better but her lungs not look good and she is take antifungal medications. She is now working again but I am worried for the pandemic mostly because she is type 1 diabetic

My mother was stationed in France during World War ii. They would nurse the soldiers in the abandoned mansions. I guess what you call chateaus.
I’ve heard people say that they were able to keep the old mansions maintained by opening up the property for tourists to come and see.
These mansions draw people who spend money shopping and eating in the local businesses in the community.
It’s good to be enabled to save the local history! People are interested and they like to participate by coming to pay to take a guided tour, for sure! It’s ideal if the buildings are upgraded and repaired BEFORE they are too far gone - and consequently too expensive to restore and maintain.
