Love it. Awesome wallet even with UK notes in it. Mine is Dublin leather and has worn very well. I ended up with a split of cards across the 4 slots but left one front slot for one debit card only so it didn’t stretch out. That’s how I liked it. 😀👍🏻
I’m a big fan of the MCW. Got mine a few months ago, I got the “base” cowhide model in brown, and it looks great. I notice you got yours without the Mitchell logo...to each his own, but I happen to think the logo looks incredibly cool. Works very well as a front pocket wallet. Wish I had gotten it sooner...one day I might try getting one made with one of their exotic leathers.
Hands down my favorite wallet of all time. My wife bought me one a year ago as a gift. I have three criteria I look for in a wallet. It needs to be leather, it needs to carry cash without having to fold it into origami, and it needs to be small enough to carry in a front pocket. For someone like me who uses cash but wants a thin front pocket wallet, it doesn’t get better than this! Thanks for your review, she found it while looking for a gift to get me!
I got this wallet for christmas 2020. The cobalt blue horween dublin. I accidentally ran it through the wash, left in there overnight, and when it was discovered in the morning I simply let it air dry, smacked some mink oil on it & it was better then new. Over time the leather will conform to the shape of your cards & really makes it seem like it’s YOUR wallet. The monogramming is well done & a nice touch. On the whole it’s a great wallet & any choice of leather will be a good one. It looks better then the day i got it & expect it to hold up for years to come.

Thank you for your honesty. I've been watching a lot of your reviews on wallets. I finally picked a wallet that would fit me. I've chosen the Mitchell leather wallet. I love that is made in the USA. I hope you continue doing a good job on your reviews.
I've had mine for 4 years now and its held up well. I'm thinking of switching to an allet or Tom Bihn some time soon, as the metal parts of the exterior dig into my leg when I sit if I wear slimmer pants. No complaints otherwise though.
I bought this wallet (Cobalt Blue) 5 years ago. There are two other wallets that I have and use them occasionally but I always find my way back to my Mitchell wallet. The wallet stays thin with 7 cards and a few bills. There have been times I've patted my front pocket just to make sure it's there.
Hi everyone, I am considering getting the MCW - Ltd. Edition Cobalt Blue Horween Dublin, however wanted to know from others a few questions. Does this blue version potentially fade or bleed into the wallet/how it holds up if you have something similar? In addition is a particular version of leather better then others in their website if you have shopped in it prior? Thank you for fielding my questions!

In terms of the various leathers & their respective quality. They are all from Horween so quality is too notch. -The shell cordovan is the most expensive & the finest leather in the world. I won’t do it the injustice of trying to describe. It is rarely in stock. -The buffalo leather will be durable as sin if you’re particularly concerned about that. -The blue wallet & others are the dublin leather, a Vegetable tanned leather that is oh so very nice. -The chromexcel wallets are combo veg/chrome tanned leather. Also a very nice choice, although lacking some of the “pull up” qualities of dublin. This leather will be slightly more friendly with water. TL;DR On the whole it’s a great wallet & any choice of leather will be a good one. It looks better then the day i got it & expect it to hold up for years to come.
I have owned and used this money clip wallet exclusively for over ten years now and am only now looking to replace it. I am a sucker for Horween CXL leather and this wallet is no exception. For the record I own several other leather items by Mitchell Leather and the quality and aesthetics are exceptional. Even after a decade of constant daily use (including several inadvertent washing machine cycles) I can say this wallet has stellar durability. Not a single rip nor torn/unraveled stitch. The money clip works as well as it did on day one. I am only now looking to replace it since (in my old age) I find it a bit too thick when carrying 8 or so cards. The horizontal card placement and "stepped" design makes it a bit thicker than I would like for front pocket carry. I wish they offered a vertical/portrait version with the money clip. Based on your excellent and unbiased reviews (as well as others) I recently ordered a Taurus Camp BaseWallet and am looking forward to receiving and using it. Thanks for your great reviews Mark!
I own two of these wallets and just ordered my third they are that good. I used to carry more cards so my older ones my now 4 card daily carry wants to fall out. I will say that you are inaccurate when describing other mechanical money clips. They function the same exact way just have less tension. I have made my own money clip wallets using very chip mechanical money clips and I can slide them in and out just the same as you did in this video.
Nice 👍. I have owned this wallet for a number of years now, to put it simply it is a beautiful/fantastic wallet. It can hold up to eight cards but works best with four AND the money clip it out of this world quality. This seems like an excellent combination of modern minimalist and traditional leather. But every leather wallet I've ever had left some adhesive residue on the corner of a card from the very edge of the slot. Is this going to be a problem with the Mitchell?
Hi Kevin, I haven’t experienced that myself and would encourage you to send an email to Dave Mitchell about your concern and he can let you know how he constructs the wallet and if that would be a problem.

Hi Alex, I'm always doing a carry test on a wallet. Today I'm carrying the Vaultskin Notting Hill wallet. I will carry a wallet for about 3 weeks then do a carry test video on it.
Yes, they will. It seems to be the case with most wallets, except for one I just reviewed and will be published in a month or so. Called "The Wallet" from Farrah Design in Australia, he designed it so there's a thick piece of leather which acts as the outside piece and thinner cut of Kangaroo leather which is super strong for its weight on the inside which holds the cards. All the moulding happens on the inside of the wallet with the Kangaroo leather and never shows on the outside. Very good thinking on his part to keep the wallet looking good while still developing a great patina.
Thanks for the nice review of our money clip wallet! Just one correction... it is designed and intended to be a front pocket wallet. Many of our customers come to us because they have developed back problems from years of sitting on their wallet. Also the wallet will last much longer when carried front pocket. Any questions, visit us at mitchell-leather.com.

@@MrGreed2000- with any wallet, if you put more cards in any of the slots the leather will "get used to" that amount and stretch to accommodate. So you can always add a card but then not really take them away. It's always best to keep a consistent number of cards in the slots.

@@walletopia thanks, I'll look forward to new video.
Thanks David, great recommendation.
Mr. David Matchell,
Just wanted you to know I bought a wallet from your website and started following the company on Instagram. #wvnative #happycustomer
I had this exact wallet for about 4 years and over time the cards would fall out of the slots. Want to purchase another one, is there any way you can prevent this issue moving forward?
@@MrGreed2000- with any wallet, if you put more cards in any of the slots the leather will "get used to" that amount and stretch to accommodate. So you can always add a card but then not really take them away. It's always best to keep a consistent number of cards in the slots.
i dont even use a wallet i always have alot of coins
Ya got my attention with this one. I may have to consider adding it into my rotation.
Se ya later 80 bucks!
i dont like the clip that holds that bank notes. Looks really tedious.
lmao the paper at the beginning says to put the wallet in the front pocket instead of the back pocket. rip anyone wearing women's jeans
That's what purses are for, get some lipstick on the way too 😂
Too much candian I can get a hand made wallet here with the same type of leather
Did you just use "Canadian" to replace "bacon" in that old saying? LOL, classic.
Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
too fat. the whole point is not overstuffing a minimalist billfold
I like my wallets like I like my women. Free of metal.
