HOW TO MAKE EASY DELICIOUS EKPANG NKUKWO

  • Hello! In this video I show you how to make Ekpang nkukwo. Ekpang nkukwo is a dish made by wrapping grated Water yam, Cocoyam or a mix of both in leaves, and cooking them. It is a dish of the people of Cross River and Akwa Ibom states.
    Water yam
    Periwinkle
    Pepper
    Onion
    Crayfish
    3 Seasoning cubes
    Scent leaf
    Ugu/Fluted pumpkin leaves
    Palm oil
    Salt to taste
    The smaller you wrap your Ekpang the better. It will help it cook faster and not scatter so much when stirring.
    Ekpang nkukwo is a unique Nigerian meal. It has a little work in the preparation, but it's worth it.
    Please make sure your periwinkles are properly washed. You can season and cook them before adding the to your Ekpang.
