- step-by-step tutorial on how to do baby lights with a lightener from Sally's + how to blend a money piece when growing it out.
*steps:
1- part hair where you always part it (if you part to both sides, use a middle part but be mindful NOT to put foils where you potentially part the hair)
2- put one side in a clip to avoid getting overwhelmed
3- starting at the bottom, take a small subsection of hair and slice off the top. you can use this slice or weave them (weaving them will create a softer, more natural look- remember to also leave the hairline out)
4- put foil in, apply lightener in the middle, and dry brush (taking the brush with very little bleach on it vertically to create a staggered appearance)
5- continue up the head; foils should look like a rainbow (remember to stay OFF the part line)
6- process until your hair gets the LEVEL you want, NOT tone (yellow, orange). tones will be corrected with a toner

formula: 0:51
first foil: 1:06

I don’t think you give yourself enough credit for how you are so good at literally everything you show on here! And funny! And positive! Such a bright light 😊 I have never ever seen a video you put out that I didn’t love!!!
Beautiful words 🙏💝
I agree she is sunshine in today’s world I’m thankful for talented positive people who spread laughter, knowledge, and is so genuine. Thank you for being you been watching you on and off for years we all love ya!!
Agree!
Girl I love how u go straight to the point no bs and nonsense like other TH-camrs
such an amazing tutorial, thank you! You are a really gifted teacher.
I followed your steps exactly, and my hair turned out so good! Thank you, thank you!! No cheetah spots!
You so awesome! I love how straightforward and simple your directions are. ❤
I love this! This is the BEST highlight at home video I've seen yet. I should have known it would come from you! I'm going to try it with low lights on white hair. Thanks!
you're so good in this girl.. Best vid to follow on how to do perfect highlights on my hair 😊 Thank you so much
I just found you recently and your videos are awesome. I’ve done this before and it works. You explain the details so well. Thanks!
I love your videos so much, with your help I got the courage to bleach my hair at home and popped on a t18 toner and my hair looks so much better. I dropped $350 at a salon to be honey blonde and she instead darkened me up to a dark brown and I was so so sad, so now I’ve fixed it for now with 2x color oops and ion bleach my solid bleach out is growing out so I’ll probably try to full foil it (bought a three way mirror on Amazon to see the back) and will do 10 vol in the back and 20 on the front-thanks so much for the help though I was sweatin bullets last time thinking my hair was gonna fall off but it turned out haha whew what an adrenaline rush!
I just gotta figure out what toner now since it’ll be both natural and highlighted hair good ole t18 won’t be a good idea I hate orange 😆
I’ve learned so much from these videos! Thank you for them 🙂
Love these videos!!!!
I loved it, it looks awesome
Its 8:55pm and im making impulse decisions...
...at least i found a good video to follow.
Hey Britney, can ya show us exactly How you cut your current haircut , 🙏 z.
Subtle but affective ❤
I think it looks great without the toner!!❤
This was exactly what I needed omg
Love your videos! Can you do a video on high lift highlights vs bleach?
I think she has done one in the past, but it may be on her main channel.
If you're reading this: don't do it sis. It's harder than it looks 😭
They make it look so easy 😭
I just laugh so hard at this…I always do the cap and I’m tired of doing that way, I was feeling ambitious, but as I watched a few videos, I started thinking to myself there’s no way it’s gonna be as easy as they’re making this look🤣
Looks amazing! Are you ever going to do hair tape in extensions videos again?
YES! I ordered some!!
Hair is beautiful im growing my hair out too
Thanks so much for this video! I've always wanted babylights. If you're doing this to copper hair (like level 8 or 7), do you still need to tone? What if the highlighted pieces are too orangey?
Looks awesome. I have a question. I'm wondering if you can help. I have been getting a flaky scalp. I don't wash my hair in hot or even that warm of water most of the time it's cool water. I wash my hair every other day because If I don't the flakes get worse. I use Nizoral to wash then biologe de tangler for the conditioner. Then I have a spray conditioner I spray in my hands and run thur my hair not touching the scalp. Any ideas of something that may work better? Thanks for you time
Have you tried diluted apple cider vinegar with water in a spray bottle and spraying it on your scalp? I often have the same issue and have to shampoo daily. Look up "yeast on scalp". It's a very common problem- I found blow-drying just my roots (I let the rest air dry) immediately after the shower helps a lot- The key is keeping the scalp dry
Easy highlights!!
you make it look so easy 😅
Thanks, Brittnee
Thank you SO MUCH for all the tips! I just did my highlights and it turned out just the way I wanted!! I DIDN'T highlight at the part...looked SO MUCH BETTER and natural...why didn't I think of this!! And, you finally got me to section out my hair first. I REALLY appreciate you making these vids...because it's SUPER expensive to have done (if I could afford, I'd pay). This allows me to not look so drab. Ty ty ty Brittnee
❤
What do you recommend for a client who is a level 3 and wants a level 9 ? ❤
tell her to have patience- it will take a few trips. Better to do it in a few sessions then try to jump that many levels- she will have to embrace the “in between”. If you can get her to a 5/6 on her first visit and wait a couple weeks and take the 6 to a 9 with a toner
@@brittneealexushair thank you so much for your reply! 🙏🏻 what toner do you recommend?!
How do you know they are ready ?
Please I can't afford going to a hair salon .. I have virgin black hair and I wanna dye my hair chocolat without bleaching it if I use developer 40 or 30 will I get any color !! I'm gonna use igora
Please help me I'm open to any recommendations and advice ❤️❤️
do you have a video on how to go from bleach blonde to light brown without going green? I know you need to do something before the brown goes on.
Red based brown is required
I’m a licensed stylist and for the life of me I cannot ever foil on myself 😭😭😭
Is there a reason you dont highlight the bottom (below the brow) of your hair or any of the back? I'm wanting to highlight at home and my instinct is to highlight all around and over my head.
I cannot “weave” I’ve tried it 1 million times and I still can’t do it drives me crazy.🤣🤣
Same lol
You should try highlighting combs- love them!
@@kimberlystevens3535 thank you!! can I buy them on Amazon or something?
How do you do it😂
I won’t be going this myself. I only let my hairdresser bleach me. I do my own pink streaks but no more bleach for me! I’m watching anyway because I will watch you do anything! 😊
Hey Brittney, Could you please show us a video on how to remove hair dye effectively at home?! I came across a TH-cam short showing Malibu C Un -do-goo & Malibu-C CPR. I like many others have bleached my hair but will definitely go dark in time for colder weather & then lighten up again. Please give us some tips & dupes of Malibu C. Such as Suaves Clarifying shampoo . Some blogs say using Suave’s clarifying shampoo as a hair mask under a shower cap for ten minutes then rinsing it is a good start then using the shampoo for 5 to 7 times daily is a great way to remove pigments from hair dye in order to avoid hair color buildup. Please give us a full vid on this. I recently got back into coloring my hair as I’m currently healing from heart break ❤️🩹 of the past few years & avoiding emotional eating disorders. ❤ ya girl.
You make it look so easy girl 🤣 I would end up being all the animals fur/hair designs!!
