I enjoyed the commentary, i'm just in Archanist but this was helpful. One minor correction is the Abrams ult does in fact knock them out of the air if he collides on the way to the ground. It's a bit finicky can be done consistently with practice. They also just added a similar interaction to Lash ground strike.
that has been one of the important feature of the Abrams' ulti since the release of the playtest...😂 so many players just play this game without actually having good understanding of each heroes, even those who played it like for several hundread hours lol😅
Hey thanks alot for the review! Tanking minions too much is definitely a thing i haven't thought about, so it's great to hear it! Overall def need to improve positioning during laning as you said. I've noticed from watching replays that I'm often late to fights so you saying that too will definitely make me think about it more :D
Love these videos, I'm Archon 6, trying to hit Oracle and this will help in understanding the ebb and flow of higher elo games. From my experience, in Archon and below there's little teamfighting and coordination, urn just kind of happens when you can, buffs aren't prioritized, and it's kind of just 4 separate matches happening in lanes. Half the team is perma-fighting and the other half hasn't been seen since 6:00 minutes (they're still trying to farm the 3 camp). You'll get the occasional well-oiled machine team, but mostly it's just one person clearly better than the rest just taking a piss at everyone else in the lobby cause they're 1v9, lol. Great video, super informative my guy!
Around 11:50 you mention Abrams ult doesn’t pull people out of the air but it actually does. It looks like for this interaction Lash ult went off right before you slammed down.
odd question but are those healthbars an option or only available in review mode. If so, i much prefer them i think they are a lot better at indicating true hp values
They're health bars from the files that haven't come out yet. If you want to test it press f7 in the main menu and type "citadel_unit_status_use_new true" into the command console. To make permanent go to your steam launch options and type "+citadel_unit_status_use_new" To get to the steam launch options right click on deadlock, go to properties and you'll see the text bar in general.
I’ve never understood why being up say 5k souls makes such a big difference. Is it purely because you will have bought a few more 1250 items and assuming you got say green and an orange you’d be a bit tanker and be doing a lot more damage? or is there something else going on behind the scenes that I’m not appreciating?
@@oprgaming153 yeah this early in the game Abrams has essentially double his souls so he has basically double his items, and starts. Also even one 3k item makes a huge difference in a fight, which is why bridge buffs are so influential. On top of that the more souls you have the more ability points you get which on top of giving you the ability bonus also give you increase start per point. The exact stats vary depending on the hero but you can see them in the heroes screen
First off, the 1250 items are VERY strong and for many characters it’s the first real part of their build that’s not just stats. Second but maybe even more important, souls also provide boons (basically leveling up) and many characters get really big upgrades for the next tier of certain abilities. Like Bebop uppercut or Yamato slash (3).

oh I saw the lash change but I didn't know Abrams could do it, thank you!

Thanks both, really helpful. I had considered the stats / boons side of thing I’ll look into that
