Thanks I have a shrimp tank and I clean it a lot and mess with the biotome, will stop doing that now thanks for the heads up! Also, how many tiger/zebra snails would I put in?
@@mariamhernandez3377 Exactly, they need different types of food to get all the nutrients they need. I use Sera Shrimps and CSF food for example. I have a channel about my planted aquarium and my pond, in case you want to take a look!
OMG 😃 I needed this SOOOOOO MUCH !!!!! absolutely STUNNING 😍❣️💞💞💞 What a BEAUTIFUL ❤️ 💯 setup you got yourself there sir!!!!! I'm inspired can't wait to start mine... Just received my rocks!!!! And the cinematography is perfect!!!! Wonderful video PLEASE keep them coming......
i bought some shrimp off a guy, they were random colors mostly orange and reddish or mixed and after a few weeks i have 2 females carrying eggs and i think a few more with saddles so im excited to see what i get. i put them in a 40g tank and they are doing really well
This is better when you look at it LIVE. The feeling is completely different. When you see those little arms of the shrimp move their eggs from the saddle to the abdomen is an incredible sight.
Very nice tank. I like the idea of a Skittles tank (tank with multiple color shrimp in it) instead of a single color. Just understand that eventually a single color will dominate. Adding a couple more plants and turning the length of time (down) the light is on will cut down on algae. My shrimp tank lights are only on about 5 to 6 hours a day. More than that and I get much more algae in my tanks regardless of the amount of plants in the tanks. Also more water changes will help control algae. Since this is a very small tank I can assume you are only doing a half gallon to 1 gallon water changes. Maybe do 3 small water changes a week until the algae gets under control.
My blue velvets and Bloody Mary shimp breed and most of the baby’s came out very light blue with brown tiger stripes. But I managed to get 5 red rila shrimp out of as well .
Really appreciate the quality of your videos! How did you grow algae on stones but the rest of tank is so clean!?..Can you please make a video on this tank setup?
Fantastic vedio, I like most, also music is so relaxing, request you to make long vedio... I love shrimp aquarium... Please do make again longer vedio...
I have a shrimp tank too! Just have a bunch of rili shrimp as of now, also may I ask what type of gravel are you using in this setup? Their colors pop out so well with black substrate :)
I would add some more plants and add some catappa leaves (Indian almond leaves) to give the shrimplets surfaces to graze on for infusoria and algae. You might also want toadd more minerals to your water if it is sof water (low in calcium hardness, KH) The extra calcium will help the shrimplets moult and grow successfully. Also feed them leafy greens organic and blanched for calcium. Cucumber, zucchini, summer squash, butterbut squash thin ly sliced is allso good for them as supplimental food.
Algae bloom usually is a sign of high nitrates or too much lighting hours. Try to reduce feeding so that your nitrates will be lower and they're forced to eat the algae more.
The problem with your sponge intake tube is that it is too porous and baby shrimp can still get sucked into the filter by the intake tube. You will need something like a Fluval edge prefilter sponge.
The camera is so amazing, clear and perfect

If the yellow shrimp mating with red cherry shrimp, what kind of those babies shrimp will be?
Wild type. The don't retain their parents color.

20 to 30 days in my experience, though it can vary with water temperature
