    Can I just say I’ve become obsessed with watching all your videos! I love how real you are and I also love how much you care about cleaning up your classroom!! Just subscribed and can’t wait to continue following you on this journey ❤️

    Hey, maybe it's better if you take off the extra orange border and leave the silver part exposed. It will tie in better with your metal theme.

    If you get the dehumidifing bead jars (they’re usually for closets and cupboards) they really help. I use them to keep the stink down too

    I love fabric for this very reason. It doesn't fade. It isn't as affected by moisture. It lasts so much longer. I bought black so that it would look good with anything. Just a thought for the future.

    Slowly catching up on all of your videos. Love your shirt! I am going into my 2nd year of teaching 2nd-6th grade multiple disabilities! Hoping you will continue to vlog throughout the school year, love how real you are! 💜

      Thank you so much! Before most of my videos so far I thought, I should probably fix my makeup and hair a little better, but then I decided that would be way too unrealistic😂. I will vlog as much as possible! I'm not sure what the rules are for vlogging at school. But I know I can vlog before class, at lunch, and after school at least!

    You can buy some damp rid cans and put them around the room. Will make a difference and be healthier for you and the kids. I have kids with asthma so it is something we have to be careful with.

      This idea is awesome! I will definitely try that! I wouldn't have ever thought of that because I haven't ever heard of them. I better get some in there before the school is off limits in July.

      I got some damp rid cans today! Going to leave them in the room in July while we aren't allowed in and see how much moisture they collect. :D Thanks for the idea!

    You could place the blue painters tape along the perimeter of where you want the paper to go then hot glue on top of the painters tape and stick the paper on top of the hot glue. If you do it like that then there’s hardly any clean up once you take it down.

    • @Sarahs.HappyLife
      @Sarahs.HappyLife  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm definitely going to start using this trick on things!

    Talk to your admin about getting a room dehumidifier otherwise you will end up with mold problems that can affect health. It is a common problem in the Deep South in older schools that have older ac units. Also try fabric or vinyl plastic table clothes they are more forgiving, don’t react as badly to moisture and don’t show holes. I am in Florida and have had the same fabric up for 5 years not faded, no holes it doesn’t move.

    Try the blue painters tape on the brick walls.

    Love your set from Mardel, our local Hobby Lobby just had all those borders on sale for $0.99!! I convinced one of my partner teachers to buy all of that set and I got the #TooCute set from them.

      Another teacher at our school got a lot of the pieces in the line on the sale too this week! I had bought mine a long time ago so I didn't get the good deal.

    Loving your videos! I’m having the same issues with my bulletin boards sagging and wondered if the damp rid cans worked well for you?? Did you have to take off the paper and redo the boards, or how did you fix the sagging?

    • @Sarahs.HappyLife
      @Sarahs.HappyLife  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It actually still sags anytime the air is turned lower. But if I keep it cool in there, it flattens back out! It's weird! But I did just get a dehumidifier from my wish list. So I'm hoping that will help that and hopefully help all of my borders and things to stick too! I'm so glad you are liking my videos! 💗

    I have found that using fabric helps with the humidity messing with my bulletin boards.

  • @kellitravis2651

    Can you ask for a dehumidifier?

  • @saram9553
    @saram9553 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    when you said that you wanted metal stools, i thought that you could by some second hand stools and spray paint them silver and save some money. spray paint is usually around 5$ and mod podge is also about 10$ and its a fun project

    • @Sarahs.HappyLife
      @Sarahs.HappyLife  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I might end up doing that if I find some good sturdy stools! I plan on doing alot of garage saling in July.

    In no way am I trying to be rude!! As a student personally I get distracted super easily by the smallest things. I love all the borders but there are just saw many. The orange, silver, black, and tye dye looking one are just a lot. Maybe take the tye dye on down cause then it’ll be even on both sides of that makes sense. (I also have OCD btw which is why I noticed it) I love how it looks though! I’m living the videos and trying to catch up!

    I know you've already moved on from this, but I use fabric on my bulletin boards. It stays bright and colorful and I've never had issues with humidity affecting it (and my classroom two years ago was SO humid all the time). Also, I don't have to replace it! It's pricier than paper but lasts so much longer. Just an idea for next time!

    • @Sarahs.HappyLife
      @Sarahs.HappyLife  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      This sounds so much better !! I love all of the print options with fabric too!

      @@Sarahs.HappyLife Yes, it's so easy to match your classroom theme! Mine is owls, so I always try to find cute owl fabric whenever I need to change/upgrade, or even just patterns that go well with the owl decor I already have. Also, it's nice that it lasts multiple years so I don't always have to replace bulletin board backgrounds!

    Teacher tip: color your staples with sharpie the same color as your background so it doesn’t show up

    I teach in an older building too and had the same issues with paper. Last summer the entire staff painted the bulletin boards and that solved the problem. I didn’t have to take any of my items down and covered all my boards for the summer.

    • @TheLeAnder97
      @TheLeAnder97 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Miller's Happy Class yes we painted them. Semi gloss paint looks great on bulletin boards. No more paper or saggy boards.

    If you have a hot glue gun, it works perfectly when putting the wallpaper up.
