Those are light panels! They can be used as a light table! Use clear gems and clear, colorful plastic letters for word work. They love playing with that!
I haven’t finished watching, but I hope that blue kitchen is yours. It would be so cute with that blue sofa in your dramatic play area with a fun rug and a couple pillows in your colors :)
Oh great idea! I kept thinking about it being in the library area, but the dramatic play area would be perfect! I keep forgetting about the kitchen. I think I have a good rug for that too!...Now I want two of them haha
I love the numbered bins - we use them for a change of clothes, which I imagine you'll collect too. Each kiddo has a number bin with a change of clothes and SHOES! :) And we're able to put them away and just grab a bin when needed. You could totally use plastic bags, we just just struggled with where to store shoes :)
I prefer using my own money to buy things that I know I will keep no matter what school I am at and use the school funding to consumables that the kids use.
I like day in the life or week in the life as a teacher. Planning for the week as a teacher. I liked your cleaning vlogs as well. Or you could do weekend vlogs!
Molded plastic chairs are really useful for students who might have a hard time sitting on the rug and keeping their hands and feet to themselves. Maybe you don't want to keep it as part of your decor but you may want to use it as a support for a student who needs it😊
Hi Sarah:) I just wanted to mention to you that there is a really great morning routine on youtube. It's called syracuse academy kindergarten. You can fast forward to 1:28. It's about 11 years old but maybe there's somethings you can use. Your classroom looks great! 🥰Ellen
Since the school bought the chairs, I bet they won't let me paint them. Also I don't know how well it would stick. Oh! I didn't think about covering that blue couch! Thank you so much for watching and for your comment!
Looks great. You could always turn the boarder you have to the back and use the plain white. That is what I did last year wjth my bulletin boards. Saved money because I used what I had and also was a clean and minimal feel to that space in my classroom.
Thank you! 💜My team has the meet the teacher stuff all figured out! I was like, ok! I will go with the flow on that! But beyond that....surely I will be vlogging because I have no idea yet haha!
with the big silver wall, if you got a blue border that matched the couch or the kitchen, it would help tie everything together. I don't think you are being picky. but I would say, don't stress about it being perfect from day 1. Make sure you leave enough time to prepare for your back-to-school or meet-the-teacher sessions and make sure you get time for you too. how did your move go over the weekend?
Ooh yeah that is true about the blue. I can't wait until I can roll the rug out because that should help me decide for sure! I am planning on taking it easy these few days while the floor is being done and focusing on finishing packing. I actually move this Friday! I have plenty of help and a uhaul! I think it will go smoothly!
I taught 1st grade one year but it was the COVID year so we didnt have a normal ending. Then I taught 2nd grade but only until September 20th when we adopted and because of COVID and my babysitter plan falling through, I just decided to stay home with him. That year was different too because of COVID. We didn't have meet the teacher before school started! So I'm pretty much a new teacher.😁
You definitely need a border organizer!
pre-printed Tara West curriculum is a WIN!
I'm excited to look through it!
Amazon wish list
Anything a new teacher would need to know!
Plan with me vlogs are always fun to watch - planbook flip through. Glad I found your channel!
Thanks! I'm so glad you found me too! 💜
I agree. I have been teaching for 21 years and I prefer having my own items for my classroom.
It just makes so much more sense to me!

ooOooooh! That sounds fun! Thank you!
The silver border goes, just add a color between it and the paper. Your room is coming along.
Thank you! I really do like that silver border.

Day in the life, Meet the teacher prep, hauls, teacher must haves, full classroom tour when everything is setup, planner setup
Thank you!

Yesss! It would be sad to really like something and have to leave it behind!
The bucket seats are used for inclusion and Pecial needs students ( defined space)
Ohhh!

Oh thank you! That is a very good idea!
Same!! Like to have my own stuff too! 😅
I was hoping that you were able to keep those little letter bins those are really handy and I had them when I was in school

Its titled daily kindergarten routines:)
If you wash the furniture covers be sure to hang them to dry. They will shrink if you put them in the dryer and won’t fit back on them.
Oh good idea! Thank you!! That would be bad if that happened! 😅
Your aesthetic is very nice. Perhaps you could cover the coach or spray paint the little chairs.

Thats a good idea too!
Looking great~ You can do some planning/prep videos for the first day or first week of school. It's always fun to see what other teachers are doing.
Thank you! 💜My team has the meet the teacher stuff all figured out! I was like, ok! I will go with the flow on that! But beyond that....surely I will be vlogging because I have no idea yet haha!
Those math units are from tara west. Love them. She has so many good kindergarten materials on tpt.
OhHhh ok! I had no idea and just figured they were something the other teacher's did.

Look in your work room and see if the school has borders
What year of teaching are you on? I recall that you taught a different grade? That is wonderful thevprevious teacher left All of that ❤️

@@Sarahs.HappyLife I am so happy for you! You will do great! And little Joseph is adorable.
I miss seeing or hearing about Joseph. Your adoption video is how I found you.
Aww I am going to be doing more non teacher videos too!💜 He is getting so big!
My district doesn’t allow plug in light strings.😢
Oh man. I'm sorry! :( That would be a bummer. Its crazy to me how every district is so different!
You know you can paint those plastic items with Krylon spray paint that is made for plastic items.
I just doubt the school will let me since they were bought with the school money.
