  • This is a quick little video of me (John Leadbetter) play testing one of our custom made unlacquered tenor saxophones in our sax shop in NYC. This saxophone has an unlacquered body tube with brushed nickel keyword and precision custom made pads with seamless metal dome resonators installed. It has been painstakingly setup so that the instrument is resonating and performing flawlessly! Nice to see that we left-handed sax players are no longer being ignored by manufacturers. 😁

This horn has an interesting sound that seems 10m-like at low volume and Mark VI-like at high volume. Is that true, or is it the way you are playing it? Sounds great as always.

Great sound! Are the pivot screws the same type as Selmer, Yamaha and Yanagisawa?

Hey Dennis! Thanks so much for your question. Parts for our Saxophones are made overseas in Asia (China and Taiwan) we have some proprietary parts and pads made for our custom Saxophones in the USA. Also, one of the most important parts is all of the build process is handled in our shop in NYC. 🙏🎷❤️
