    Hi Benjamin I am a ramp agent too (B6 SJU) , and I understand your point of view. Most of the people see us as like you said low life,ignorant and people with no education but they are wrong. We belong to an special group of people that have the pleasure of see this aircrafts so close that we can touch them,fell them and work with and for them. I care like you, like if my family its flying in or out off those planes because for us everyone is family and important as can be. So for those people out there being a Ramp Agent is one of the most important jobs in the airline industry because without us you can get to your vacation on time, see your family on time or get to your work on time and we do it with pride and joy.

    Great video my friend. I just got hired on at SWA. I have my flight to Chicago on the 6th of October. I worked on the flight deck in the Navy. I always flew SWA back home to STL and the flight crew made all veterans and servicemen and women feel welcomed. Thats why I wanted to work for SWA.

    How is the best way to study for the training test? Like memorizing all the airport codes there is so many to memorize it’s crazy

      most of them are pretty easy, others like nashville(BNA) I remember it as Boots n' Ass in nashville, or New Orleans(MSY) its always messy. You get the jist just create I guess a jingle

    Why is it loaded to the ceiling? Our rules say there has to be 4 inches of clearance. It's a bitch to unload half the time. Our rules are probably different since it's cargo. FedEx Express IND.

    • @OhRums
      @OhRums 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Alex M It's just a thing, if you can't find a bag there then there's usually gaps opened up like 4 inches cleared

    • @alexm2623
      @alexm2623 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      We have red tape around to keep us from stacking to the roof. We'll get slapped with an FAA safety violation if we do it. Damages the plane too if people aren't careful chucking the bags around. You've probably seen all the speed tape in the compartment lol

      I retired from SWA-Oak. I enjoyed my time as a ramp agent and then as a Operations agent. A total of ten yeats.
