Just found this two years after you shot this. Great video preveiw of the trail. Unfortunately, the fires in late Spring 2020 did some damage to the area. Thanks so much for posting this helpful video. Happy Travels!

A real surprise to see you out there Wilco but a nice surprise. Very different terrain to what your used to and the flora and fauna at opposite ends to - the cactus or the symbol of Arizona must have appeared alien like but thrilling. Now that's a lake to swim in. Good going Wilco. All the best. Mark

This is what happens to a hiker when his daughter marries an American from the desert Mark! But i should admit ... this is quite different from hiking Holland or bagging Munros!

What a great trail and quite surprised to see you over there. Nice to see the sun but it did look hot and very dry over there, dispute the lake, which looked fantastic. Great watch, cheers Alan

Was a bit surprised too when my daughter married an Arizonan Alan! It's not only hot here - the air is very very dry. One has to carry & drink lots of water.

Ah, love the outdoorgirlie and her comments here! You know what Julie - you hardy Northumbrians - let alone Scotsmen - might melt over here! by the way, do you realise some of those cacti are quite dangerous! Lol!

The wide open and usually deserted spaces of America. The times i've travelled out there Wilco i've always had the pleasure of these types of stunning places to myself for the most.Beautiful scenery.Enjoy Arizona.Andy.

Oh well Andy - I will find me a few trails over here next week, with less people and more nature! Although wondering what an encounter with a Coyote or a bunch of Javelina's might do ...

You know you're risking missing out in ice skating eh?

Traded the risk of banging my head on the ice for the risk of meeting agressive cacti and sneeky rattlesnakes Spijkerpoes!
