  • I picked this up on eBay as for parts or non-working. I thought it would make a good video to show TH-cam how to get it working again. This method can be used on multiple brands of surface cleaners.

This unit doesn't have a grease nipple, higher end units do, I had a MITM commercial surface cleaner that had one but it was also a 30" that was something crazy like $1500...I bought it in a lot to clean and resell. The guy I sold it to said it needed something like 8 gpm to run...

The MEG nozzles are not aligned with the bar. You just zipped them in with the impact and didn't align them. The lines on the nozzles must align horizontally with the bar. Either back them off or rotate them more with a socket wrench till they are aligned. Then they'll spin freely. Rookie mistake lol 😂 Thanks! Enjoy all your content.

Thanks for the comment and enjoying the content...you are right. I was thinking about this after your comment and it was an oversight on my part. :)

A staple worked great to unclog the nozzle.

I had the same problem with mine not spinning. You need to remove this assembly and grease the washers that are in between it and that should fix the issue

      That also works.

These tools are great but can be a real pain once they clog up once i think maybe the jets wear out (orifice gets bigger). Definitely not a high end unit as they have wheels and grease fitting and handles but yeah should do a good job

For sure, when they work they are amazing, when they don't it's a hassle. I have a rigid surface cleaner w/ wheels and a grease fitting but I don't bring out my 4k PSI unit that often and sadly I end up using these smaller ones more often then the nicer one. I don't know if anyone makes a smaller unit that is heavy duty, from what I've seen this brand and karcher are some of the best rated homeowner models.

@@jamesbubnick Have you ever tried adding a grease fitting to one of these units, I'm guessing they use a sealed bearing (same as ride on mower spindles) so probably a waste of time i will experiment with mine and see

I haven't tried that...but if I get a junk surface cleaner I'll take the head apart to see if it's possible. I'd assume they are sealed bearings but the side shields should pop right now. My guess is it's easier to spray it with a good lubricant to lossen up the bearings and then after you're using it for the year spray some lab in there to help it stay free.

The line on the nozzles should be in the same direction as your swivel bar. Good stuff man, going to grab some WD -40 and see if that helps. Grease didn’t work, I may have bad bearings

Hmm not realy sure what you mean…the head was frozen up with deposits from sitting. I didn’t want to take the entire head away as this is the quicker and easier way to fix. Anyways thanks for watching and have a nice day.

When you finished the clip the arm was still not spinning freely, it spun but not properly,... You know you didn't fix the problem and that's what I came for. Mine has done about 3 hours work I've cleaned the nozzles, taken the arm off and cleaned that, it all seems to spin very freely with a good spray pattern but, just like yours a minute after you start to use it, it starts stalling again. I came here for an answer but see you're still having the same issue as me!

@@chrisday8038 i would check to see if the nozzles are partially blocked. Also you might want to reduce the orifice size on the nozzles on the bar or make sure they are sized for your pressure washer PSI and GPM. If yours has a adjustable unloader try turning up the pressure

I bought the washer with the patio head from Karcher UK as a refurbished unit, I did my patio last summer and it was amazing, I just took it out to use it again and it doesn't spin, same as the one in the video.
