Okay, The official is stupid…| 426 Meter Dash

Yeah.. I thought I ran a bad race today. Turns out, the staggers were incorrect.
Sure, here are the approximate distances for each lane in a 400m race:
- Lane 1: 400 meters
- Lane 2: 407.67 meters
- Lane 3: 415.34 meters
- Lane 4: 423.01 meters
- Lane 5: 430.68 meters
- Lane 6: 438.35 meters
- Lane 7: 446.02 meters
- Lane 8: 453.69 meters
These distances are calculated based on the staggered starting positions to ensure that each runner covers the same overall distance.

Haha, I saw the reddit post earlier today. Honestly it baffles me how no one caught this. If I was an athlete in that race I definitely would have said something because that is very clearly not the correct 400 stagger.

The fact this happened at not only a high school meet but a sections meet is absurd.

that stagger looks like it might be an 800m start from lanes, only being a 1 turn stagger. although I would think that only add about 3.1 meters to each outside lane
