I try not to look at my emails after I send them. I end my longer emails with "I am dyslexic, which prevents me from proofing my own writing." Everyone understands.
I'm 66 and hoping to compete in some Masters track meets (if I can find any that are not regional, national or world championships) and I want to train smarter than I did 46 years ago in college. I've only seen a few of Lyles instructional/informative videos and find them helpful. I wish I knew those sprint drills in the 70's. I need to look at all his stretches. Our coach taught us the Bud Winter floppy-wrists that robbed me of the drive I could have gotten out of my arms and I never thought about my glutes at all. We ate what we wanted. Also those drills where we kicked forward and high. Those never felt natural. I want to be more thoughtful this go-round. I appreciate that Lyle's is genuine, open and willing to share his experiences and what he knows. His outlook seems practical and analytical and that's what got my attention. And the fact I was in the stands at the top of the homestretch when he ran that torrid turn on his way to his 19.31 at the 2022 Worlds in Eugene. You really remember that when you see it in person. What a great meet.
I'm 62 and Noah's videos have been a massive inspiration for my 100-400 training efforts. Sprint drills in the 70's? What I remember are the In-Out flys over 100 meters, Flys over 30 meters, and some basic hip and hamstring stretches. It's way more advanced now and futile to compare then and now.
An athlete at the top of the world. especially a sprinter. It is extraordinary that he shares amazing information with us. I offer you my endless respect and love. we love you noah. I will pray for you to break the world record.
I'd just like to saw how awesome it is that we live in a day and age where experts and professionals like yourself can respond to questions from people if they're serious about getting into something. I hope people appreciate just how valuable having these resources are, because if people believe in you, it's reinforced so much that they're getting advice that's good for them.
I liked the comedic parts! Great video! Maaaaan I'm so happy an elite athlete is making great content! Makes beginners ( such as myself ) feel more confident! Thank you, Noah!

Noah has particular difficulty with spellings of Indian names even if they are fairly phonetic.
