- I bought this in the hopes it would be a simple fix and I could be on the road having fun.. but before I knew I had the motor out and it was stripped down frame. I guess thats how it happens.
The bike is a 1977 Honda XL175, one of the earlier models of XL and from what I have seen the 175's are a little on the rare side compared to the more common XL100.
I had a lot of fun taking this bike apart and trying my best to fix it up to some of its former glory.
Hope you enjoy the video!

Nothing like bumming around with an old Honda on the Berta dirt. I say you keep the 175 and make some new memories with it
Yeah man it’s pretty fun not gonna lie!
Nice work on the bike! And great video production quality too!
🤩👨🏻🔧 YeeHaww awesome video!! I could watch this on replay that transformation was beautiful. My vote goes to the XL 100 as a keeper
This is awesome. I have a 1980 XL185S in the garage that I got from my in-laws. It’s in incredible condition, starts on the first or second kick.
That’s awesome! That’s a great gift
Great vid!
Tough call on which one to keep tho, the old bikes…..there’s just something about them.
Maybe do a garage addition and keep both, then get more classics 👍🏻👊🏼
So good man! The shots, the story and of course, the sarcasm. Loving the content. Keep it up!
Thanks man! Appreciate the kind words ❤️
I love that it still has the Scona Cycle sticker.
Me too!
Keep both!
Great video on the process to restore that little bike!! It was fun to go check that thing out before you started in on it, and looks like you have done a great job!
The old XL Honda's are a blast, and i used to have a 1980 XL100 that was a fun little bike to scoot around town or take out camping!! No matter which one you choose to keep, I know you will get miles of smiles out of a Good Old Honda!! Keep up the Quality work on the channel buddy!
Thanks Troy! I had fun with this bike man, thanks for coming along for the purchase and teaching me how to fire the motor without the carb
@@rangeroadmoto Was my Pleasure to come along and help Kick it over, you know me, i enjoy keeping old things alive!!
🤘🏻 awesome! That turned out great!
Thanks man! I’m stoked on how it came out too!
Your neighbour to the west needs one to ride with you!
I would love to do that! Mini dual sport adventure
Keep the 175!
The 175 is really cool
