Great to see the updates Marcus. Sorry to hear about the injury, I used to train 3 days a week (weights), mountain bike every Sunday (black route trail centres), and train wing chun & box on Monday nights. When I got in my mid to late 40's, I started getting an increasing number of niggling injuries, and as I approached 50 I seem to be constantly injured ruining my training schedule, it was like pissing in the wind. It got so frustrating I just stopped all the training and got back into music instead. I hope you can find a balance mate. Really good progress on the car, thanks for the updates matey !
It’s defo all about balance mate. Sorry to hear you have completely stopped training. Try to at least bang out a few push-ups everyday. Something is better than nothing. Check out my other channel to follow my struggles with fitness, mental health etc. youtube.com/@mh_on_track 👍
I was there on Sunday with my brother in his m135i and my mate in the orange st. My car was at home broken as I broke a drive shaft. Was going to say hello but I'm not very good with meeting new people 😂
I totally understand mate. I am severely socially awkward myself. Check out this video on my other channel about my struggles with this th-cam.com/video/9mOlm5Si19c/w-d-xo.html 💪
@@marcushayesford looking forward to engine going in Being doing loads a research on push rod engines.....n camshafts N internal camshafts in the block 🚫 Mind blowing .............. Thanks to you!!!!!!!! Its very interesting Engines r fascinating Even after I think I know how they work I don't..........🙈😳
Crossflows are an awesome little engine. A little expensive to get big power from (compared to ST170s and Zetecs) but I can ignore that with this build because Heidi is not about the power. 👍
@@marcushayesford no I understand......I get ur project totally Again I totally even dont understand cross flow engines ( mind blowing ) I'm dumb man!!!! It needs drumming into my mind all that Cooooooool as anywayz loving ur build Shout to u n ur beautiful g.f kat 💖 🙏 Love u man , mint vid
Hi Marcus,I have a set of brand new discs and callipers (and hubs I think)that would suit Heidi I’m not to far from you, near Maidenhead,if you wanna come get them,my donation to you project
Great work mate on Heidi, every time you do a video she is coming on leaps and bounds 👍🏻👍🏻 I had a look for the boot latch and sorry I don’t have one mate I must have sold it with my boot , can’t wait for the engine cleaning and painting ❤
Thanks mate! 👍 I always think I’m not doing things quick enough, but she’s defo coming together slowly but surely. Thanks for looking for the boot latch too! 👍 I’m hoping to have the engine block painted this week. Im really enjoying messing around with a crossflow again. 👍
If you put Bulkhead Pipe Clip (2 x Brake Lines,1 x Servo) into Google it comes up with the clips your looking for. Also really impressed with the 2pack rattle cans, looks like a gun finish
@@marcushayesford It won't let me post the link but a web shop called BRESCO see them £3.99 each. Or they are also on everyone's favourite internet auction
Thanks for the advice mate! 👍 I just fitted the pipe how it was before. It’s clear that one of the previous owners got confused with the rear brakes anyway because the drivers side cylinder still had the bleed nipple fitted and the small pipe was disconnected.
Nice.work but rear lines are.wrong way round inlet.is at bottom so any air will get pushed down line to bleed side and leed nipple should be at top (highest point)
Marcus, looking how good the results are from that paint you’re using, I think you should consider doing the whole of the car with it. I know that’ll be a controversial thing to say 😂, but I genuinely think you could get a 10/10 result 👍
I reckon if I was in a clean enough space I could get a pretty decent finish with those cans, BUT it would cost a fortune to buy enough cans to do the whole of the outside. 😀
I used to always use zinc etch primer on bare metal but nowadays I use epoxy because it is non porous. I would always use etch primer if I were to paint cast alloy bits etc. I'll also defo be using etch primer on Heidi's engine block because epoxy can be a bit thick. 👍
Great to see the updates Marcus.

Thank you Marcus and Cat a great Video.
Thanks for watching mate! 👍
Saw a good tip on how to get brake pipes flat and straight. Rub pipe between to planks of wood makes pipes nice and straight. Great video Marcus.
Top work Marcus 👍👍👍
Thanks mate! 👍

Looks like your missus has resigned herself to your driving! Ha ha.
The bleed nipple needs to be in the highest hole in the cylinder
