    Dillon, not going to lie to you... I have just done three pours with your product.... I am amazed at how cool the epoxy cures, I still seal the live edges in on my pieces, however I have not had any bubbles in the three pieces. I am a bit amazed that you do not need to seal your edges.

    Totally do more Q & A!!!! I love all the videos and the start to finish ones are very satisfying to see.
    One question: Do you only silicone the frame? I don’t see the wood slabs being siliconed down but rather clamped down from above then planed off for the finished surface. Am I correct and if so could you explain why this is your preferred technique? Thanks in advance.

    Great stuff! Thanks for all the videos, I've learned a lot. One thing I'm curious about. It seems you often pour the resin over the top of the piece you're making. Why do you do that? Seems like it creates a ton more work to sand or plane that off.

    Dylan, a fantastic video. Maybe your best. The musical bits were well placed. Hats off to the editor. Showing the disaster table demonstrates there is nothing easy about what you do. Must have been an expensive lesson.

    Dylan, is there a way your metal fab guys can build the table legs so the sides/uprights are slightly tensioned with a small (hidden)return for fixing so it doesn’t show through and impede the beauty of the resin? Love watching, I’d love a table but I’d need to sell a kidney to cover freight costs to Australia 🇦🇺

Has your business, or at least inquiries, picked up since you started this channel?? So Im using ecopoxy (I know wrong product but I had 12 liters left) and Bubbles gone and grabbed a wood stick to create a pattern. Came back 3 hours later and it morphed, not in a bad way as its beautiful but wonder if it happens to you?

    • @Woodsyone
      @Woodsyone 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Rick. That's an ambitious challenge you've got ahead of you. I've hung a couple large heavy pieces like that using a French cleat system. My pieces had big screen TVs mounted to them and there is no movement, zero
      Are you familiar? It utilizes boards with matching but opposite bevels that hold the piece firmly and securely to the wall. I'm sure some type of metal bracket system would work as well. If it's a sheetrocked wall you might want to consider removing it so your fasteners mount directly to the framing. A REALLY heavy piece might get spongey over time if you don't deal with that issue somehow. Good luck. It CAN be done.!

    Hey Dylan, love what you and your crew are doing. I heard the comment about the hater who thought your work was a bit too reliant on technology. I get the whole , doing it by hand puts more character in the work thing, that's kinda where I am myself, but I see how the equipment can open doors that are locked up tight for old fashioned guys like myself. Perhaps there's some envy involved, maybe not. Anyway, there's always something to be learned from everyone. BTW. It was nice seeing a table with no epoxy, although it did look like it could have benefitted from a few more butterflies towards the open end of the crack. It looked great though. Do you guys ever do trestle style bases?

    • @BlackForestWoodCo

      Yes, fans and an AC are ideal; especially for bigger pours. The less heat, the less bubbles and possibility for cracking because it allows a slower cure time
