Just wanted to say: Instead of just piling tons of expensive Lego pieces into soulless creations, your builds are oozing creativity. That mini golf course is crazy good design. Keep up your excellent work!
What a great idea to have a crazy golf course. I can relate to all the holes as my wife and I enjoy a game whilst visiting the coast. Like most things these days it’s not a cheap pastime anymore.
I really liked it a lot Robin, the flags weren't my favorite but in the end, it is your decision. I think you should put some trees and other plants by the train tracks to make a natural barrier which people will not want to cross.
I used to play Mini-Golf (that's how we call it here) a couple of times each summer when I was a child. It had a loop-de-loop and the tunnel as well, no windmill there though! The flags could or could not stay, it works both ways (the mini-golf I played on as a child had no flags). The small alley section beind the Parisian Restaurant near the station platform looks like a good place to stack some trash cans xD.
You are the expert at making things fit! Imagine all of the delays the railway would get with all of the golf balls hit onto the tracks... no wonder why the sea captain is angry!
I love the look of the holes and the size and everything is good but I think it needs a different layout or maybe a different location because personally I don’t think it fits there next to the railway
These inner turn areas are hard to use productively, especially with buildings, so I think this is born of necessity if we're going to achieve maximum density!
Like the mini golf. U should switch some of the stones on the track near it for balls. Like folks been hittin the balls 2 hard and they pop onto the track lol
Ahh crazy golf, a personal favourite of ours!! Really like this Robin - we're very impressed. The flags are a bit tall but you'll be able to see what it is from looking further away so I think they should stay. Perhaps you could swap the numbers around so that hole 1 would be the windmill, so that you'd pick your ball and club from the grumpy man and then start there, but all in all we like it very much and our favourite hole is the windmill (that has caused us a lot of grief in the past haha) - well done and looking forward to the 175th video 😁😁
Hey Robin! I found your channel about a month ago and went back and watched every single city update video. Bricknottingham is truly a work of art and by far my favorite lego city on TH-cam. You are so creative and inspiring. I have a few suggestions for the city if you don't mind: 1. Flip hole 5 with the windmill around so the beginning is at the end of hole 4. 2. Add a bike to the top of the bike shop to create a 3d sign. 3. Add a bin to the end of the golf course for people to return clubs to. 4. Lastly, you could do facade cars on your roads leading off into the distance to simulate that. Love your videos and fast food corner on ideas. Cant wait to see the city continue to grow.
Wow. Welcome to the gang and I hope you enjoyed your epic catch up. Thanks for your high praise. I will do #3, #4 I tried and there wasn't enough room to do it well. #1 I need to see the windmill from the beach but I know what you mean. Not ideal!
That's so awesome! Really like the look of it! I also love the elevation in your city and how you built the fishing store across multiple levels! Great job once again!
looks fantastic as usual. i have got a few ideas for you. you could continue the theme of the tiny village by putting random houses around the empty space and to also use them as a small wall to protect people from wondering on the track. you could also add a few benches in the alley and some flower pots in there. but now i am in a mood to play crazy golf. thanks!
I like those ideas, especially the buildings around the edges. I know he wasn't worried about fencing, but it just doesn't look right with such danger so close. It is definitely our instincts doing this to us LOL 😆
Omg Robin I love this!! What an awesome and original idea! I can absolutely see myself playing a course just like that and also hitting a windmill or getting caught on hills and stuff. So cute! I definitely like the diversity of holes and the various traps and obstacles work just right. Fantastic!
Hi Robin, Looks fantastic. I really love a little mini golf myself with the family so you need to add a few more to each group so its couples and families playing. I like the idea you have for the alley having a vendor on it. There are always little coffee/soda vendors at the arcade, maybe tie it into the restaurant colors or just your coffee shop. You could make a blue 3D flag sign to bring in the customers. maybe twist the flags so they are pulled after the train. Of your layouts, hole 9 is my favorite and least fav. I love the skull but hate the last hole because it does take the ball. So much fun in this area of Brick Nottingham. this is the tourist hub I bet, a trip to the beach and some mini, followed with some good food and a show before the train ride home. As always thank you for sharing your ideas and the fun builds that make up your world. till next time keep building
Yeah, I'll add more people and the golfing President Business. The last hole can be cool as on a few you can win another game for ultimate bragging rights!
Looks great and another great add to the city. I think the flags really look great and really add to the mini golf course look. Fantastic build and thanks for sharing.
Very nice idea to fill that little corner! Now I wanna go out and play again myself - I haven't done that in years. Only thing I don't quite like is that the different holes aren't aligned in a continuous path... Usually (at least in Germany) the first hole will have its tee very close to the booth, the tee of the second hole will be next to the end of the first, ... But with the space being so small I don't really see an efficient way of doing that. There are so many little scenes I can think of with this setup though: - Since the loop is famous - or rather infamous - for balls going off the track, maybe one of the players could be hitting someone at the beach or - even better - the Shakespeare dude on the boardwalk in the head. - A ball has landed on the train tracks and the player is looking suitably shocked at the train denying them the ball. - If it weren't so impossibly close everywhere else a person riding the train could be hanging out of the door trying to tee off on hole four. - Someone on the roof of the Old Fishing Store or on a table on the balcony of the Parisian Restaurant "playing through". - A player having stolen the club and ball and building his own hole on the beach. (btw. there is no way to give the clubs back at the end yet) - Someone "very professional" having brought their own club (an obviously overpowered one - perhaps one of the actual golf clubs) and taking forever to take his shot with a line forming behind him. (This is taken straight from EVERY mini golf course in Germany btw XD)
A continuous path was a ttempted but isn't 100% possible due to the shape of the site and the orientation of the obstacles. I love the idea of "playing through" from the roof!
Oh wow definitely didn’t see crazy golf coming so random. !! It’s Fantastic you really keep this interesting. Brings back so many summer memories ha and the attendant is always grumpy ! I love it especially the loop. I could never do that one ! Can’t wait for the city tour 👍🏼
@@RobinHoodBricks its an amazing creation..you should be proud. Was watching big city review and reminicing how, when I started following, there were just a dozen if not less buildings in your fab city..look at it now! We must rally to get Mrs Hood to let you expand..you can always sleep in the living room right??!!🤣🤣.
What a great way to fill that corner! Loved the windmill hole 👍 Not entirely convinced by the massive flags ... 🤔 I wonder if a 3L bar with one of the plastic wavy flags might look better, perhaps? You could plant it in a 1x1 white hollow stud which would look like the edging to each hole.
Fantastic job Robin! I really love the mini golf course. It fits in nicely in the space you have it in. If I were to choose my favorite would be the loop-de-loo. They are all pretty good ideas though. I like the windmill also, and I'm the same way when it comes to being the semi-pro windmill blade hitter.. 😁👍. Also great way to improvise golf clubs with using the firemen axes, they look legit. As far as the flags I'm 50/50 on them. If they came in all different colors, for sure use them, but hey your forgetting something very important.. a 3D mini golf sign, you could possibly make it on a 4x6 plate backing but something similar to the outdoor adventure shop using plates or tiles for the green background and a white technic ball and have to of your clubs crisscrossed attached by 1x1 clip pieces. You could suspend the sign by making an arch walk way into the playing area. Or have it off to the side on the corner suspended with your flowers and foliage around the sign. Anyway just an idea that popped into my head. Great video my friend, great work putting all those tedious pieces down. 👍👍
I'm dying from how adorable/perfect this mini golf area is. Also, don't stress about the fences. If this were my city, I'd intentionally have a game/hole in between the two tracks... But my ideas can be a bit bitter.
Heh. That reminds me of a bunch of other horrible ideas I have :D One day I'll upload it all to YT. I owe it to my 7 subscribers to have more than one video... maybe.
I think the flags look a little bit tall. You can make them shorter when you use 4495b on a pole (3957) The flags are waved and available in different colours... But anyways: Very nice mini-golf, it's a very cool addition to the city!
It looks good. As a sort of golfer I disagree on what golf is, but no worries. If you've got some red flags would the colour contrast maybe break up all the blue? Maybe someone already suggested it but there's a lot of comments. Anyway looking forward to the tour have a good one
Great use of space. Never would have guessed a crazy golf course. I love crazy golf and also spoiling walks 😂. Don't think a fence is necessary, it is Lego after all. You may decide to do one in a couple of years when most of your city infrastructure is in place.
I don’t think you should keep the flags! But I love the golf course. I love your ideas. Oh and I voted for the fast food corner. I just love all of it. Keep up the good work! :)
These are really great! I love how you've hit the minigolf aesthetic very well. I can definitely recognize many of these from the courses I've been at! Very cool! The mill is a real classic! The pirate one was great! :-D I love how you've integrated it with the fishing store. In Denmark, it seems like the minigolf course is always owned by a kiosk or camping ground or something - definitely a plce that doesn't seem to have too much interest in that kind of thing :-D Great work! Thanks a lot for sharing! And congrats on crossing 9.75K - 10K should be up very soon! Very well deserved!
Looks great Robin Hood Bricks. Keep the flags. Look fine to me. You could do an entrance to the golf course on the corner and maybe people queuing up for it. Keep up the great content.
@@RobinHoodBricks Yeah, some plants made of leaves are good idea to put between the train tracks. That would look good. Bricksonville made some so Robin pls check it out, i think tose would be really cool in your city
Trick to # 6 hit on an angle haha awesome idea and video as always! I may try and replicate some of these for my own city. GO VOTE IF YOU HAVEN’T ALREADY!!!!
Excellent!!! I think those flags work perfectly! The different courses look great and being behind the old fishing store is a good idea too. Wonderful MOC (my own creation) though.
This would be a nice mini set to buy for LEGO City or even een IDEAS set if made a little bit larger with a little store, hills and trees (landscaping) or so. Good work!
What a unique and cool idea! Looks great! I really like that you put it by the beach too! I've only ever seen a miniature golf done in Lego with GBC. I've always wondered why no one has ever done it in system bruxism before! Thanks for sharing!
Fantastic! Love all the holes and obstacles. Not sold on those flags... I see other comments suggesting shorter pole and using wavy flag. I think the triangular flag with clips would look good
Looks great. Close up the flags do look too big but from further away they look perfect. It really highlights the fact that it is a golf course so I vote for them to stay. Maybe as a scene you could have a startled golfer on hole 1 or 4 that has missed his shot because he got scared by the train? :D
Great video and an absolute great idea to fill up that space. Ps: I support you for your toughts on fencing the area. If you don't want to, then don't. 👍
I recently found your channel and binged your whole city update playlist and I've gotta say you're a very talented and creative lego builder! Very inspiring for someone who isn't the best creative builder! Can't wait to see how your city flourishes.
Wow. Haven’t played crazy golf in years! Yours looks pretty good fun - with the added thrill of maybe being killed by an incoming train, or chopped down by an axe pretending to be a club! 😆 Hope to see my clone playing there one of these days 😉
I think I did leave already a message on this great minigolf court; if I remember correctly this was one of your ideas how to fill up those loose corners around the curved train track, great idea! I recently had seen somewhere else a great idea how to very efficiently use all space around the curved train track which might be interesting for you as well for future: curved train tracks (flextrack?) were used as basis to built a building with a curved wall+windows along the track.
Yes, that's one idea but it does make doing the interior very difficult. I imagine they might have been doing just the outside shell of a building. Even harder is the space in between the two curves. I have a plan though and I'll get many suggestions for fencing that I will ignore, haha!
Nice job Robin!! Looks great for such a small area. The flags just give it that much more of a touch of color, I like them. Windmill is perfect. Skull looks cool. Is it just me or could you not clip the loop-d-loop on both sides? These people that are so worried about minifig safety, have me cracking up 😂
It looks ace. Those corners are annoying to try and maximise the space. But, you’ve done a great job of doing that. Well done and thank you for sharing.
Oh I know. With that area being behind a building, in a rail curve, in the centre of the room, on a raised level... this must be the only thing that would work from all angles!
For the loop-di-loop, if you put the ramps at 3 studs wide and 4 studs deep, you can have a loop exactly 5 studs long and connect on both sides (3²+4²=5²).
Now that bricks and mini figs is semi opened, I know what I want to get to include in my Lego City. This is very clever in deed, and I think it'll look good next to the carnival rides down near the beach.
Love the variety of holes. My only gripe is the numbering, feels like the windmill should be number 1 then going clockwise round to the loop being the last position. That would mean swapping the loop and the skull perhaps... 💀 Fun idea!
This may be my favorite part of your city. I love the creativity and fun of your idea. Superb execution as always. You really took me back to my childhood playing with my cousins. One recommendation for you about the flags. Consider alternating with your red versions. Perhaps this will break up all of the blue you are struggling with. Also, placing number stickers on the flags may add a bit more detail as well. Thank you.
Looks great, all the classics are in there, perfect for just by the sea side and adds a nice bit of colour. I do think the flags are just too big though! What about using a small antenna piece with a clip flag? Might be too chunky that way though. I like the train bombing past, it adds a sense of jeopardy!
That fishing store looks like something you'd find in the old market square during summer. Have you got a smiths branch of natwest aka brick Bank? 😁 Like that NET tram er train.
I was looking forward to today's video and even got more excited when I saw the title! I was thinking of putting a mini golf course in my city, but wasn't sure because of the space it might take up. I saw those flags on BrickLink the other day, but was concerned that they might be too tall. I think they might be. I do like how thin they are and the size of the flag. I am thinking of using 1x4 Antenna with 2x2 flags, but the flag might look too big. Decisions...decisions, always a decision to be made . I do have a suggestion to switch the flag and tile in whole 1, otherwise the water will flood the whole.
Robin Hood Bricks , thanks. Don’t get to spend much time looking at or commenting on your posts this last week. Back to work after the prolonged shutdown, due to Covid-19. My day starts at 4:30 am and ends anytime between 4:30-5:30 pm, so looking at and commenting on TH-cam posts has taken a back seat to eating, sleeping and doing all the other things on my list. I do miss being able to spend time viewing my favourite channels, of which you are one. Cheers Robin.

It looks good. As a sort of golfer I disagree on what golf is, but no worries. If you've got some red flags would the colour contrast maybe break up all the blue? Maybe someone already suggested it but there's a lot of comments. Anyway looking forward to the tour have a good one
Thanks, yes I agree!
Great vid Robin!
Thanks, it means a lot!
Maybe you could use a black 1x1 round stud as the hole for the ball to go in....GREAT video again......
OR 1x1 Round black tile!
I did try that but it looks weird with a hole in a square space. This looks better. Good spot though!
What a great idea, well executed! This was an enjoyable video to watch, with just the right ratio of on- and off-camera building, imho.
Yes, I really enjoy the part build, part city videos. Maybe with a small garnish of trains!
Okay back to back jaw droppers first the hot tea tech and now this, great build dude. You inspire me for lots of ideas and things on my table!!
A lovely comment. Thank you for that!
Great use of space. Never would have guessed a crazy golf course. I love crazy golf and also spoiling walks 😂. Don't think a fence is necessary, it is Lego after all. You may decide to do one in a couple of years when most of your city infrastructure is in place.
Absolutely. Space is at a premium. Thank you!
I love the flags 🚩 you got to keep them 👍
I agree. I think they're staying!
I don’t think you should keep the flags! But I love the golf course. I love your ideas. Oh and I voted for the fast food corner. I just love all of it. Keep up the good work! :)
Thanks for voting. Thanks for everything!
No problem! Anything for my favorite youtuber!
Thanks so much, Jakob!
@@RobinHoodBricks You are welcome
Looks great Robin Hood Bricks. Keep the flags. Look fine to me. You could do an entrance to the golf course on the corner and maybe people queuing up for it. Keep up the great content.
Yes, I'll do that I think!
Suggestion: Instead of fences, put brick built trees or plants to act as a barrier and/or fence.
Hedges, they are nature's fences!
There's no room for the entire length but I'll definitely add flowers and stuff where I can!
Awesome. Thank you!
Such a cool idea! I would have never thought of this! So creative, keep up the great work 👍🏼
Thanks so much!
Excellent!!!
I think those flags work perfectly!
The different courses look great and being behind the old fishing store is a good idea too.
Wonderful MOC (my own creation) though.
Yes I love this MOC!
This would be a nice mini set to buy for LEGO City or even een IDEAS set if made a little bit larger with a little store, hills and trees (landscaping) or so. Good work!
That would be cool. Very good idea. I may even do that after Fast Food Corner gets there!
I think that this is awesome!! Great idea robin hood bricks.
Thanks so much, it means a lot!
What a unique and cool idea! Looks great! I really like that you put it by the beach too! I've only ever seen a miniature golf done in Lego with GBC. I've always wondered why no one has ever done it in system bruxism before! Thanks for sharing!
The only thing I might add is if you can find numbered stickers to put on each flag?
I saw that GBC. VERY cool. I may have numbers on those sticker pack sheets. I'll check them out!
Awesome build I play real golf and it takes awhile for sure! My favourite hole is the windmill.
Mine too!
Very nice idea. The mild wind is my favourite one. That's fantastic.
Mine too!
The loop de loop is my favorite!
Yeah, awesome!
Fantastic! Love all the holes and obstacles. Not sold on those flags... I see other comments suggesting shorter pole and using wavy flag. I think the triangular flag with clips would look good
Yes but they're still too big. I think I'll stick with tall golf flags!
I think the flags look good, especially from further away when you’re sort of scanning your city
That's what I like about them. They're very golfy too!
Looks great. Close up the flags do look too big but from further away they look perfect. It really highlights the fact that it is a golf course so I vote for them to stay. Maybe as a scene you could have a startled golfer on hole 1 or 4 that has missed his shot because he got scared by the train? :D
I'll look through my LEGO heads. I agree these flags look great from a distance!
Great addition! I like the colour choices.
Build the farm next!
Farm is waaaay off. The table isn't even there yet!
What a great idea!!!
Glad you think so!
Great video and an absolute great idea to fill up that space. Ps: I support you for your toughts on fencing the area. If you don't want to, then don't. 👍
Cool, thanks. No fencing it is!
This gave me very familiar feelings. I think I like miniature golf is for the same reasons I like LEGO. I like things in miniature.
Yeah, we love crazy golf and play whenever we see one on holiday!
Very cool idea! Some type of cool entrance archway would be neat.
I have a few ideas!
I recently found your channel and binged your whole city update playlist and I've gotta say you're a very talented and creative lego builder! Very inspiring for someone who isn't the best creative builder! Can't wait to see how your city flourishes.
Welcome aboard, glad to have you with us. Wow that's a lot to get through, well done and thank you!
That is a wonderful addition! Can't wait for the city tour!
Very soon!
Wow. Haven’t played crazy golf in years!
Yours looks pretty good fun - with the added thrill of maybe being killed by an incoming train, or chopped down by an axe pretending to be a club! 😆
Hope to see my clone playing there one of these days 😉
Haha, life is full of dangers but you just have to go on and live it!
@@RobinHoodBricks and I guess you're one for increasing the risks life throws at you! :P
@@RobinHoodBricks no fencing is a lot of boring work and lost space where you can still do interesting things! :)
This looks amazing. I am about to sit down and whatch . Looking forward to it.
Love it , I like the look of the flags mate . Can't wait until the next video . I love your city and look forward to a nother tour.
Yeah I like the flags too!
Nice job Robin!! Looks great for such a small area. The flags just give it that much more of a touch of color, I like them. Windmill is perfect. Skull looks cool. Is it just me or could you not clip the loop-d-loop on both sides?
These people that are so worried about minifig safety, have me cracking up 😂
I think so too. They're plastic!
Very Cool I thought a full scale golf course would be cool also
Too big to achieve great density with but it would look very cool!
The the observations car with the murder scene is great. I like seeing lego pieces used in unordinary ways than normal
Robin Hood Bricks it certainly did work.
Great idea to fill in an awkwardly-shaped area - should add an angry minifig who is fed up of losing his ball!
Yes, I'll add more scenes here I think!
For the loop-di-loop, if you put the ramps at 3 studs wide and 4 studs deep, you can have a loop exactly 5 studs long and connect on both sides (3²+4²=5²).
I'm not sure it'll look very good with those dimensions though, as they're quite straight!
@@RobinHoodBricks You could angle the 1x1 plates at an intermediate angle :).
Now that bricks and mini figs is semi opened, I know what I want to get to include in my Lego City. This is very clever in deed, and I think it'll look good next to the carnival rides down near the beach.
Go for it, Heidi!
@@RobinHoodBricks thanks👍
Love the variety of holes. My only gripe is the numbering, feels like the windmill should be number 1 then going clockwise round to the loop being the last position. That would mean swapping the loop and the skull perhaps... 💀 Fun idea!
Yeah it's not perfect as I wanted to have the end near the wooden walkway but also have the windmill facing the beach. It's not perfect!
Ah that makes a bit more sense, I must have missed that bit of explanation 👍.
I feel unconfortable with games 1 and 4 so close to the train tracks.
Maybe i will change te orientation of them.
Good video.
It will be easier to push people in front of train if he don't change it
Have it go over the tracks as a obstacle
@@williamz2548 Great way to win an argument against the ole lady isn't it 😉🤫
@@Scrimjer perfect idea.
@@lordarnold8524 Murder at the track side mini golf! yikes 5 times a day even
This may be my favorite part of your city. Thank you.
Thank you very much. Numbers I will check the recent sticker packs for and I'll add the red flags to my Wanted lists!
What a Fantastic Idea for that spot! I love the windmill! I can't get that one either 😅😂
I dread that hole. I think, this time I'll nail it. Nope!
Golf is AWESOME! Maybe you could add the windmill thing!
Looks great, all the classics are in there, perfect for just by the sea side and adds a nice bit of colour. I do think the flags are just too big though! What about using a small antenna piece with a clip flag? Might be too chunky that way though. I like the train bombing past, it adds a sense of jeopardy!
I also like the jeopardy. Other flags look too clunky. I think I'll try these for a while. I've got used to them now!
looking good as always, robin
Cheers, Jimmy!
@@RobinHoodBricks you too
great idea looking sweet!
Glad you think so!
Just have to say the fishing store looks fabulous on the sea front
I agree!
Looks great! awesome video!
Thanks a lot!
My faves are the windmill and the loop the loop 😎👏👏👏
Good choices!
That fishing store looks like something you'd find in the old market square during summer. Have you got a smiths branch of natwest aka brick Bank? 😁
Like that NET tram er train.
Yes I have, behind Old Market Square. You've seen the castle, right? Full tour video tomorrow!
Niiiiiiiiiice, I like golfing! It would be nice to see an actual golf course.
Haha, that would take a little more space to do properly!
Robin Hood Bricks haha Lol it would still be cool!
I had the same flag dilemma and these won as they scream GOLF!
@@RobinHoodBricks Better GOLF, instead of FOUR!!! =D
I think the windmill one is the best as well!
Yeah. A classic!
Love it. Great job 👍
Much appreciated!
Looks cool. It is not really safe XD you should add a fence or something to make it safer.
I mentioned that. No fence. No space for one!
@@RobinHoodBricks Dumb suggestion anyway, the Lego figures are not gonna accidentally walk onto the railway track because they're stuck to a stud.
