Planning a fix for the 5RM

… talking with John about BP and LP filters to fix the BaoFeng Model 5RM.
In an earlier video, I showed the disappointingly strong harmonics that are generated by the Baofeng model 5RM, sold by Amazon. The Baofeng 5RM has a nice receiver, but it can't legally be used for ham radio transmissions in the USA due to harmonic frequency emissions that are in excess of FCC limits. I compared the Baofeng 5RM to the Icom IC-V86 under identical conditions and the Icom passed but the Baofeng failed. But now - in the spirit of amateur radio experimentation - I am considering the possibility of fixing this generic Baofeng problem with either a 2m bandpass or lowpass filter.
