With Honda no longer making Lawnmowers for North America ppl will keep old ones running or rush out to buy the last new ones in the store! Thnx for the video Bruce
Good day eh!! There isn't much you didn't check out and adjust or fix on this old girl. Nice job and it sounds so nice when running eh. I'd say it 'runs like a Honda'!! Take care!!
Now i am really choked it is like your here in Ontario boss. Just got in a mower for repair not a Honda but exactly the same throttle linkage and needed exactly what you did in this video. Well done Nostradamus you foretold the future again.
Your fast becoming a pro small engine mechanic, no oil spills for a while😁 I’ve got two chinesium generators in my shed, both engines are very very similar to Honda’s.
Just for kicks, I checked some history on that classic. I found a manual dated 1990; thus, it could be at least 33 years old! On the engine cover, I spotted a sticker from the seller back then, Johansen Sales, Ponoka AB, which is what, a l bit under half way between you & Edmonton? Google also found that Johansen's inventory was, alas, sold at auction about a year ago.
Nice repair on a really nice mower Bruce !! 2 questions though,,,,, was that a rubber tipped plastic fuel valve on the float ?? And, whats your feeling on using valve cover screws for mounting the shroud ?? Great video Bruce
Thanks Bruce. I see some pretty cheap ones on Scam-A-Zon, but hey are cheap garbage from China. That one you got off the Tecumseh mower is sweet. Thanks for the reply. I'm on the hunt.
Hey Bruce, I must’ve missed it, but how did you get your oil changer to work? Main reason I asked is, I have just bought one but haven’t used it yet and I need to know what to expect. Thanks
@@BrucesShop The older Honda with the leak? I could have sworn that you were trying to get the oil out and then all of a sudden the extractor was not there. Maybe I was asleep. Oh well, it doesn’t matter.

I don't think I will be buying anything new for a while.
That Honda HR 215 is a fine machine. I had one and it used to run so smooth it would start on half a pull!
It sure is!
Great repair Bruce, those old hondas are my favs . Have way too many of them but ill be gone before they stop working.
So true
It is nice to be able to adjust things in to spec . . Not like todays junk with no adjustments .
I agree.
Good morning Bruce! Have a nice weekend!
You too
You can really see how Honda put a lot of good engineering into its mowers. Good fix Bruce. Stevo
Right. They sure did.

Yes it is a rubber tipped needle, The screws on the valve cover and shroud used to bother me but now it is just what it is. LOL
Luuuuuunch! Are those Helly Hansen Overalls?
Yes they are.
Bruce, where did you get the pony fuel tank? It's the perfect size for a temp fuel tank.
Off of an old Tecumseh mower.

I will never understand why Honda felt the need to make a rube goldberg design just to get a dang carburetor choked LOL
I agree LOL
