    Good on you. Nothing wrong with a bit of bush bashing 😀 providing you don't get bushed of course. I live local and haven't heard of this one. DB Hut. Nice one.

      I should have read the map a little better, rather than just follow the GPS. Thanks for watching.

    There was some nasty comments in here. I thought it was an awesome video with good information. Keep up the good videos

      There will always be bad comments, and those comments say more about them than they do about me. I remember someone telling me that "people who can, will do it. People who cant, will comment negatively." Thanks for the positive comment, its appreciated,.

      Thanks. Yes, I didnt know it was there until I stumbled across it. From some of the comments I have gotten, you and I must be the only ones who dont know about it. Thanks for watching.

    Haha & Drat, you bet me to doing a video on “The Hut”. Me and the boys went looking for and found it (the easy way off the metal road btw) when we did the recent “Kaimai cleanup” overnighter video. The bench was covered in rats poo so I was going to go back and sanitize, has it been cleaned up since?

    • @OAPAdventures
      @OAPAdventures  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I thought you might have done a vid on the hut after your clean-up videos, so I shelved the idea for a while to see if you published one. Fine days and holiday time so I re-visited it. Yes, it is still full of rat droppings. It had been recently used and swept, but there must be a resident rodent population.

      @@OAPAdventures after being growled at by the Kaimai admin, for showing people secret tracks, I decided to take my followers to and promote Pirongia for a while, and show them secret tracks there, hence deciding to hold off on uploading the hut discovery.

      Came across this hut today. Smelt a little like dead rodent. I walked up forest track cut through to another forestry track then up a very steep track to the north south near motupere hut. Walked to Thompsons track followed that down to the road..

    Why would you go into the bush without a rifle??

      Instead of me answering, try using Google. Search for "Hiking" or "Tramping in New Zealand".
