Seeing Bob and Michael enjoying each others company is very cathartic after watching Better Call Saul, after seeing all of Jimmy's and Chuck's interactions😭
There's a Mr. Show sketch in which McKean plays a law professor and Odenkirk plays a law student. Worth checking out. Edit: McKean brings it up in this interview 😂

Bob is too kind and humble, he truly helped mold the farcical idea that people are not static. Actors have molds but often can bend to the ability of their directors. @@SimBol1216 Some people have a very weak ability to recognize faces but don't know it. They think everyone is like that, and they don't get why some people don't see what they see. Thinking 2 non-related people look like is the biggest sign. A normal brain sees a face and thinks "This is a unique face, I will store it in my memory for later", but people with poor facial recognition see a face and immediately think "THIS LOOKS LIKE SOMEONE ELSE, AND I NEED TO SAY IT OUT LOUD". They literally can't help themselves. Think about all the times you've seen a comment on youtube trying to crack a joke about someone resembling someone else, like "Soandso isn't too doing well these days LMAO". They don't know that it's not funny and that they're wrong.
Aside from the dramatic scenes between the two (which are great) I really liked them singing together “the winner takes it all” by ABBA in the episode “winner”
Michael McKean surprises me almost every time I see him. I knew him normally with the Credibility Gap as a kid in the 70s, and then Lenny on L&S. And then out of nowhere, I watched Spinal Tap and was blown away that it was him as David St. Hubbins. And then he pops up just in a weird cameo in Planes, Trains and Automobiles and then on SNL for like a season, or part of a season, and then I remember him in such a weird cameos, like on the Mr Show. Just never ceases to surprise me, especially on Saul.
Bob is right about when a comedian performs in a drama and shows that it's something he or she can do very well. And people act like it's rare and mind-blowing.
It's about the type of comedy, I think though. Bob was being kind talking about "modulation". (For some it'd probably have to be a modulation *from* zero!). You could kind of see there were people in his mind who couldn't do it, but he didn't want to name names. I think a few would come to our minds easily as well. It'd be great if they could, but the less disciplined, less 'committed', as they mentioned, would likely struggle.

In the point where they talk about how their mother in the show loved jimmy more just because he made her laugh even though Chuck was the one that made her more proud, you can see they alread knew how chuck feels anger about that and they had figured out what i needed to see in the flashback of the mothers death to understand
My favorite episode of Law and Order had Michael McKeon and his lovely wife Annette O'Toole as hucksters who have created their own religion so to speak. They were both wonderful in it and there was a marvelous twist at the end with both characters changing dramatically and they pulled it off with ease.
Wow! I haven't heard "The Goodies" or Bill Oddie mentioned in years. Nice to know Bob and I were enamored of some of the same British off-the-wall silly stuff!

Ed Begley Jr. was considered the front runner for the character of Chuck McGill. Either due to time constraints for Ed being cast on Lady Dynamite or Michael having more time to do the role it was awarded to McKean.

This was filmed before they made season 2, which means probably 10 years ago. He was probably about 66 when they made this video.
