Durring my time at university I was drinking, in general, a lot, almost every day, needless to say upon graduating I've cut my consumption down massively to basically special occassions, or perhaps 2 ciders on one of my days off, it definitely makes you feel so much better, not to mention that now, on the special occassions where I do get quite drunk, I feel I appreciate them more
I've been struggling with alcohol for about 14 years now. I do feel like I've hit the point where I'm just tired of it. I don't want to give it up completely though, at least not yet, as I still do very much enjoy certain things associated with it, like Oktoberfest. So right now, my goal is to just cut down to a more acceptable level of consumption.
I gave up drinking over two years ago and apart from having more money in my pocket i love the mental clarity, your more present about your existence, i eat good food, train four times a week and read my books, i dont have a partner so no distractions in my life😊
30 next year, dont get any enjoyment whatsoever from it anymore. At the end of the day, whichever way you look at it, it's neuro-toxic liquid poision, nothing more.
Clearly you didn't know how to drink. Yes, Alcohol or any other substance isn't healthy for you, but that is no reason to hate on it when it comes to social situations. Just because you used it to get fucked up and more social doesn't mean its Alcohol's fault, its actually your own. Millions of people drink Alcohol without such consequences!
Feels like you’re getting all defensive and attacking this dude for literally no reason. He didn’t hate on alcohol. He mentioned he had good times with it even. He just gave a brief explanation on why he chose to stop drinking. There was a suggestion to not drink at the end but I don’t get the idea that he’s hating on people who do choose to. Your comment, however, certainly feels like a jab at this dude that’s entirely uncalled for.
@@trash_o_fish_al809 Drinking isn't an easy thing for anyone to pickup, in fact it can even be a skill issue. This whole video this guy describes how he had to chug alcohol to fit into social situations. YOU SHOULDN'T DO THIS!! That is a incorrect way to intake and enjoy ALCOHOL!
@@janage8596 you’re right, but I guess I don’t understand why you felt the need to put someone down and criticize their past drinking habits, while they’ve clearly already recognized it as detrimental to the point of being sober for 2 years! A lot of young people especially, do drink excessively to get fucked up. That’s not uncommon and I felt the point of this video was to give insight to people who find themselves in similar positions. You are not superior to this person or anyone else just because they may have a drinking problem and that’s very much the tone your original comment gave off.
It being unhealthy is no reason to hate on it? first of all it is. secondly he's not hating on it at all, he's saying it is personally not for him. You may be projecting your own shame/insecurity here buddy
You taking the time to type this makes me suspect you may be on the verge of a problem. I can’t imagine a “normal person in control of their drinking” being annoyed at this video in the slightest.
@ im annoyed of the mentality people have when they stop doing something that was killing them, being obese and loosing weight. Person starts to preach , being a drug addict and being sober and starts to preach. Being a weed smoking then once they stop they start to preach. They are not in any spot to preach. And yes believe it or not you can drink without it ruining your relationships /job/ life. Maybe you’re one of those people that can’t handle it that’s why you took the time to reply.
@Goldenlsr dude made a video about his experiences and you found a way to get offended by it? At no point during the video did he tell others what to do just simply explained what he chooses not to drink. Why does this bother you? 😂😂 😂 That's some level 10 insecure hater stuff man. 😂😂😂
@@Goldenlsr people sharing their struggles (and solutions) can have a positive effect on other people struggling. Fr, and I don't even smoke, but I need cigarettes to make spiffs and joints with hash, and yesterday while waiting half an hour for the night bus I chain-smoked 4 cigarettes
Congrats on the 2 years! Quitting alcohol completely is a great idea, for people who just can't consume it in moderation (I'm one off those people)
My dad started at 14 and died at 59 from cirrhosis. By the time he was 50...he was basically a walking zombie from wet brain.

No way man called a partner a distraction. You're lost mate
