Having been a moderate/heavy drinker for 7 years and feeling the effects on my body and some recent health scares, this video is just that much more of a motivator to finally quit, which I'm on day 4. Wish me luck and if you're in a similar situation, prayers to you.
Good luck my friend! From one alcoholic to another, you got this! Im now a year and 5 months, and i have felt healthier now at 30 than i did in my entire 20’s. Its worth the initial struggle, bet on that.
I quit in january and it was the best choice i made, i weighed it up as whenever i drink i feel like trash for 3 days mentally and physically and it wasnt a good deal for a night of fun, i drank way too much during lockdown and it was not good for me, all the best for your sobriety journey 💪
I used Vivitrol shots once a month and they say go ahead drink you won’t feel it and it reprograms your brain to it. Been sober for 5 years now and I can have a single drink at party’s with no issues.
I began drinking at the age of 13, but I started drinking heavy at 15/16, and I would drink every weekend, or sometimes even every other day. At times I would binge drink with my friend's at the time, and we'd stay up until 9am sometimes until 1pm just drinking, and doing blow. Anyway I finally began to feel the effects of both in 2017 when I began to get heart palpitations. I basically began to incorporate lots of fruits, and vegetables into my diet like literally every fruit, and veggie you could think of, and I quit drinking, for a few months, and it went away. This was in July 2017 to September 2017 then I basically slowly went back to the same lifestyle, for another 8, or 9 months. I then calmed down again in July 2018 to about February 2019 because I had moved from the big city my hometown of Chicago to quiet El Paso. Anyway when I returned the same thing, for another 5 months, and then back to Texas, for 7 months, and once again when I was in Texas I only drank a few time's in a half of year period. I finally returned to Chicago, for good in July of 2020, and by April of 2021 I began to feel strange in my abdomen. I was convinced it was my liver, or pancreas, so I quit drinking immediately. I then quit the blow in May because the pain wouldn't go away. I even stopped smoking cannabis in late May because I was getting worse despite quitting the other 2 drugs of choice. By mid June it felt very hot in my abdomen, and it felt as if it was going to explode. The pain was excruciating I wouldn't wish it on anyone. Anyway I went to the hospital in June of 2021, and was diagnosed with Diverticulosis. Google says the cause is unknown, but come on it doesn't take a Rocket Scientist to know that poor diet combined with excessive drinking, and snorting was the cause of my body's deterioration. I went on a Vegan diet, and this honestly helped me, but not as fast as the Kombucha fermented Tea's. They have like positive bacteria probiotics basically, and it fixed me up real quickly the inflammation went down immediately I couldn't believe it. Anyway I tried sipping a little in September of 2021, and it would hurt a little in my lower left abdomen, so I told myself yup it's over Josh you had your fill. Gonna be like 1 year of sobriety in a few weeks. In late October it'll be one year of sobriety from blow. I still smoke cannabis since it's legal in my state of Illinois, and it's never made me feel drained, and dehydrated like the other two vices I had. The last thing I need to do now is to cut down on my consumption of meats, and junk food in general. This channel also has a video on the effects unhealthy food has on the human body, and mind, and I greatly appreciate it. Knowledge is powerful, and once it happens to you that's when you start to take it seriously. Heck I know people who have life threatening illnesses, and still continue to do what they're doing. I guess their life right? If they wanna die an agonizing death that's on them however not me uh uh I love life. I was scared straight if you do drink I guess all I can say is drink responsibly, and in moderation. I hear a few cups a day is actually beneficial to our health. Although the problem with us Human's is we lack self control, and we always want more. Anyway God Bless you all, and I hope you all stay safe, and live a long healthy life 🙏🏻
as someone from the UK that is rookie numbers. heavy drinking but only on the weekends ? i think maybe your a light weight coz not saying it’s a good thing but at the age of 6 i had a half bottle of wine and i thrrew up just once and ever since when i drink i havent had any problems at all and considering that was half a bottle of wine at the age of 6 that’s decent
@@LebronShaqthe2nd I actually had my very first sip of beer at 6 as well. My uncle gave me some red dog. At the time I had obviously never had a taste of any kind of Alcohol since I was 6, so my taste buds hadn't acquired a taste. As, for rookie numbers, or being a lightweight I don't know what you're talking about. I literally stated I would drink every other weekend, OR every other day. Perhaps you missed that part? I don't think a 24 pack of Modelo's or Corona's is lightweight along with 3 to 7 shots of whatever hard liquor we're drinking, and maybe even a few chasers. Although I didn't really like chasers as I knew the sugar would make me more dehydrated. I preferred drinking it straight in shots even though as I stated you actually get more drunk drinking chasers depends on how much Alcohol you're actually consuming. For me yea a 24 pack, 3 to 7 shots, 7 to 14 blunts, and an 8ball of yay was the norm. Also not a competition on who drinks more I'm just simply stating my own personal experience from drinking consistently from the tender age of 13 (still a boy literally developing) to the age of 27, and overall my point is that the video is true. It's actually ridiculous that we need video's to tell us what Alcohol can do to the human body, and mind. We have this video, and I tell my personal experience, and still you tell me those are rookie numbers? Lol it's like you're saying "Haha I can drink more than you" If you want go ahead it's your life I also stated that in my original comment. Your life man you're the one that's going to go through whatever illness when it finally catches up to you 🤷🏻♂️
Good for you man. Keep it up. Dont know the point of the guy saying youre a rookie. I see alcoholics egg on friends that are trying to quit all the time. Its not cute and its not okay. Ive seen to many friends trying to quit get treated like that by friends so they keep going and then they die. 3 more dead in buffalo just this last week. I moved from buffalo ny to new orleans. A total party city but substances dont have the same hold on me. I think the warmth and sun and people just being better here helps. In buffalo i had to drink just to stand ppl socially. In new orleans ive been putting together a group of ppl who like to go out dancing and also want to do it sober now to. Got to help and protect each other. Its what community and being human is about. Not numbing your self with substances and bad food. Thats addiction. Alcohol causes more damage than any of them.
This is why I'm an occasional drinker. I generally won't drink unless I eat and I normally have just one drink followed by water. My father, grandfather, and great grandfather were alcoholics. I don't intend to be the fourth generation alcoholic.
My family are all alcoholics and I didn’t want to follow in those footsteps but no matter how much I hate the thought of becoming what I hate, I still drink too much almost everyday. Somethings gotta give.
I’m five days away from 6 months of sobriety, I’m currently on step 4 in AA and have some legal matters hanging over my head. There trying to make it out as if I was bat ish crazy when I encountered the police. I was suffering from alcohol poisoning which hasn’t been mentioned at all, it’s been a tuff go with being in the service industry and not being able to work for a year on top of being denied unemployment. Deaths in the family & strained finances aren’t an excuse for my actions, but what I’m being charged is pretty ridiculous. No matter, I’m sober and grateful that I am alive and carry the feeling of “rock bottom” everyday to never return that state ever again.
I stopped drinking after I was roofied back in March. Even 1 single drink makes me feel sick and can barely finish it. It was an unintentional kick of a habit. Even though I wasn’t a “heavy” drinker, I noticed my skin is so much better and knowing I won’t wake up hungover is so relieving. Congratulations on your sobriety & I wish you the best of luck!
The thing about alcohol is that its literary everywhere you go as a adult family functions, restaurants etc it's just socially accepted, so i have to have self control cuz i know when i start drinking i wont stop... 2 weeks sober and hoping for many more 🙏
I was well on my way. Somehow I just stopped. Weed helped and under NO CIRCUMSTANCE should an alcoholic go cold turkey without a medical professional but I know you guys can do it!
I'm a sober alcoholic. Been sober for quite some time. It created so many problems for me. Living black out to black out..waking up in hospital detoxing. The whole addiction thing is extremely time consuming, complete money rinser and more importantly, it's completely soul destroying, I had to drink in order to delay the DTs, shaking, sweating, vomiting. The hallucinations are very real at the time and terrifying. Drink will often tell me it will solve a problem/dilemma. Or give me the comfort blanket that it did in my early years of drinking. My message to anyone out there in a relapse and want to stop, is to get to a hospital. Withdrawing from alcohol without the right detox/drugs, can (and is) be fatal. Day by Day....hour by hour.
I used to drink a lot during my life many years ago much out of depression issues. But seen the worst occur with a violent ex whom later died doing the same thing of consuming alcohol resulting in my own suicide attempt back in the days after returning from my deployment overseas. My depression levels has decreased a lot and currently on very strong medications due to my injuries from overseas and depression levels. As a result of this, I am blessed to not be drinking any longer and it is very rare that I pick up a single drink every few years usually during a family gathering. I am also single owning everything I ever wanted in life therefore I feel no need to ever drink alcohol ever again as it can destroy a relationship and I do not want anyone hurt emotionally or otherwise and alcohol itself can destroy a relationship and never helps a true relationship. I rather see people around me happy enjoying life to the fullest personally.
I feel you there. I'm trying to quit myself. Was a heavy drinker because of my last marriage. But now that I'm out of the army I have been drinking less and less but I need to quit
I was an alcoholic mostly for about 14 years and I can tell you it the most dangerous times when you black out and do not remember anything at all the night before trust me that dangerous for real.... I been sober recovering alcoholic for over 3 years now and still going strong so yea.... Have more faith in your self and stay on the right path and you will be fine YAY.... be safe everyone 😃....
I always describe "overdoing it" as the best night, followed by the worst night of your life, all in one evening. For me, there's nothing worse than realizing it's a vomit night.
I consumed alcohol almost daily for about 4 years and was finally able to quit for good 4 months ago, best decision I ever made. I also quit caffeine and juices for a week now and only consume water. I feel so amazing now and my family is so happy with my new attitude.
@@ArthurLarsen100 I went back to caffeine, but I’m still alcohol free. Everything is still great, before I quit drinking I felt like my wife and youngest son hated me because they were always getting onto me, but now things are much better.
I'm about 5 months without a drink. Almost half a year. Do I crave it? Yes. Do I think about it? Yes, been drinking Almost nightly for 20 years. I take it 1 day, sometimes 1 hour at a time.
the problem is that when you started drinking, probably it was with the wrong people, that motivated you to often ignore the warning mention 4min in the video... for me that is a signal to take a few cokes or waters so i don't get into the drunk stage... only been drunk in the pas 20 years, i think i can just about count those times on one hand, and almost all were as 20isch student , when you tend to test your limits. once you have tested your limits, just listen to those warning signs, but i fear you were badly guided into alcohol and are to preprogrammed now to ignore those warning so good you probably barely notice them.. so probably safer to stay off alcohol...
@@JeroenJA yes badly guided. I believe that is a major issue. A lot of our parents don’t really teach us about alcohol. To think about it, alcohol is in almost every household. If not, it’s affiliated with a family gathering, party or just family member that drinks or friend occasion.
25yrs old 3 yrs of binge drinking 8 days in no alcohol & feels like forever. I’m literally making up for lost time.. some days I feel great about it some days I’m ashamed I even let myself get this far but more than anything I pray God keep me on my path 💯
I was just a casual drinker, i normally only drink on special occasions, like someone's birthday, Christmas, New year and etc. Once i drank way too much alcohol i blacked out in 1 hour, can't remember anything, never did that again, now i'm a casual moderate drinker, only drink on special occasions and in moderate amounts, it's amazing, i become more extroverted without compromising any memory and/or vomiting/passing out.
I went to treatment two years ago on my own will and money. I was taking prescribed Xanax for my anxiety and prescribed Adderall for my ADHD. I also drink a lot of beer. I was cut off cold turkey from those meds (drugs)! I stopped drinking for two months but didn’t feel like doing anything other than work and sleep! I finally gave in and started drinking again. I started doing things again but I’m not saying that is the answer. I’m starting to realize I need to slow down again. I shake everyday until I reach a level of alcohol. It relaxes me. I can’t hit buttons on my phone easily until I’ve had about 10 beers. I’m sharing this to hopefully help someone to know what can happen. I’m not as bad as the worst off with addiction but hope this helps. My story. I trust in God, my lord and savior Jesus!
Thanks for helping me get a better understanding! Although I'm of age, I don't drink alcohol for religious reasons, but still want to understand what it's like for those who do drink. The explanation of dopamine and serotonin helped me understand why someone could enjoy it.
I think my body handles alcohol differently… I used to drink half a bottle of whiskey and within an hour most of the effects were gone and people around me said I seemed sober at that point. Same thing happened regardless of what I was drinking and how much.
I get over my buzz really quickly too, and it is really annoying...and expensive. 😄 I can get drunk, but it takes A LOT to get me drunk. As I get older (I'm 45, female), I'm just not willing to do that to my body anymore. I enjoy a drink or two at brunch, or will buy a bottle of wine occasionally, but I that's about it.
I've never had alcohol. Everyone I've told that to have all said: "you're not missing out" I dont see the appeal or need for something like this to be a functional social person. I don't like the idea of losing control or feeling off from something I consume. No thanks.
im glad i quit drinking when i was 19, where im from you could buy a beer at 14 and everything else at 16, i used to go to school and before school id go to a friends house who lived like 2 min away from the school walking and drink shots of vodka or whiskey, we would do the same during lunch hour and after dinner we would go out to the bars up until 3 am and repeat the following day, this went on for around 3 years, and i just had to say no more because i saw the hole i was digging for myself, now as a 24 year old people my age tend to make fun of the fact that i dont drink , that i dont go to clubs, what they dont understand is that i know myself and that life to me is really addictive, so i choose to stay away from those environments
Drinking is probably the worst thing you can do to yourself. It’s fun to start with, but then it punishes you later. I wish I never had a sip of alcohol.
If ya drink too much and are trying to quit, ask your doctor about Naltrexone. I used to drink heavily. Now I hardly do. It takes the temptation feeling and cravings and minimizes them TREMENDOUSLY! It also takes away the effects of the alcohol. I can’t even get a buzz when I drink now. So it taps down the cravings and the effects. Try it. Ya won’t regret it! Peace to you all.
I'm a heavy drinker, have been for about ten years now. Still as functional as ever, so it doesn't affect my work/life balance. I have to say that this video is completely different from what I've experienced since the beginning. Anyway, on yo your comment... Absolutely would not recommend naltrexone to anyone. You're right, it nullified any affects from drinking and made me not want to do it... But it also made me not want to eat or even drink water, and when I did, I was constantly vomiting. Glad it helped you though, I just wanted to share my experience and let everyone know that there are plenty of options out there. And I think I choose to live fast and die faster.
Currently, 662 days sober. Was a straight-up alcoholic from 19 or 20 years old to 34 1/2 years old. My tip to you: if you never had a sip of alcohol, please for the love of your body - especially your liver, heart, brain, kidneys, and your intestines - DON'T START USING IT! Seriously, please don't start. It's not worth it!
I reduced my drinking from partying actively and having some beers at home to almost zero. I've lost quite a bit of weight, when I don't drink much alcohol anymore and don't do late night fried snacks. This is way better living
I decided to quit drinking about eight and half months ago after realizing that I wasn’t capable of drinking in moderation. I haven’t regretted it for a second!
@@CT-pv9gu Vast majority of Americans, who consume alcohol, do not have any trouble with moderate consumption. I am an individual, who CHOSE to drink rather than except my need to mature, yet most drinkers, statistics prove, don't consume excessively. Alcohol is inanimate, while choosing foolish and immature behavior is the actual culprit. "I've seen the enemy, and he is me."
Yea, if I have a couple beers I’ll immediately switch to liquor and won’t stop until I’m kicked out or can’t pour the alcohol down my throat. And if I’m kicked out I will repeat it at the next bar until some delinquent or near death experience happens.
Alcohol is poison. iIt's seriously insane how alcohol has been available legally for decades, but not marijuana, which if taken responsibly has so many health benefits.
Thank u its so backwards i g alcohol bring in more $ from al the lawyer fees n fines if caught driving n al the doctors visits n hospitalization from health problems it bring
My stomach just violently expels the alcohol out my system, when I drink too much. I get the hangover, while intoxicated. Walking in a straight line is impossible. I can also start drooling. Within a couple hours, my symptoms just vanish instantly. My memory is not inhibited by alcohol at all, and I remember every detail of it. That’s why I know longer drink.
Fun fact: the word "alcohol" is Arabic for "ghoul" hence hard liquor being called "spirits", genie in a bottle... Furthermore, we call them "genies" while in Arabic it's "djinn"(gin) and why u might hear one say "Gin makes me sin".
I use to be a heavy drinker for 5 years. It got so bad to the point where I would finish a 1.75 bottle of vodka in only 2 days. I gave up liquor and switched to light beers such as michalob ultras and miller light. I know I’m still drinking BUT this right here is a night and day difference! My body feels SOO much better due to the reduced alcohol I’m taking in and I’m also well hydrated
Try calculate number of units of alcohol. I'm a bad alcoholic. Trying to beat it. Got a mental illness in early 2022. Sad for my family check to see if I'm still alive.
I switched to only beer about ten years ago. I don't drink every day, but I could if I wished because the hangover is barely there. One coffee, and I'm fine. Maybe it's a tolerance thing, but I pretty much have the same amount and don't ever feel the need for more before bed. Even when events or whatever are happening and it's 5 or 6 days a week, no problem and no need to escalate the amount of beer.
@@thinkingmanstudios4129 same here! The hangover is barely there if it’s even there at all. I did try a pint of vodka a couple days ago, and remembered why I stopped messing with it in the first place. That thing is WAYY too concentrated and potent to me lol. At least with the light beers, I’m still able function after 2 of them. My only problem is that my wife still believe I have a drinking problem, even though I don’t drink crazy anymore. It’s like I finally won with myself but I can never win with other people lol
I have been drinking for 12 years, eventually got pancreatitis and had to limit my consumption. The main problem is when we start drinking we don't know what is the limit and usually end up drinking
After losing my grandmother and falling into deep depression, I was an alcoholic for 3 years. I even developed pancreatitis and had to be hospitalized at one point. Now today, I'm a little over a year sober and I don't miss it, not to mention I feel great! Good luck to those on a similar journey to sobriety. If you still drink, just be careful and drink responsibly. Much love!
I often describe myself as a functional alcoholic. This video popping up randomly on my feed really scarred me, I guess it’s time for sobriety. Any tips?
One day at a time, it will be hard at first. It will get easier as time will go on. There will always be that desire but you will desire less and less to drink as time goes on being sober. Prayers for you, you got this!
I'm 18 years old and live with four other people, who all drink, but I've never had to try it with them or any alcoholic beverage before, so I'm not sure when will my time come to experience all of these.
Keep it that way kid. I wish I was mature like you at your age. My friends got me into drinking while I was at your age. Now I am 40 years old and unemployed. While those friends have become successful and look at me with pity ... So don't start especially at the behest of such friends
Matthew 11:28-30 KJV Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
I don't drink anything with alcohol ever , if anyone says your intoxicated that means your poisoned and they must take you to the hospital , they did don't say that person is drunk know you differentance , keep the faith
I drink every single day and can’t sleep without it at this point, really makes you think, but it’s so hard to not keep doing it. I’m constantly trying to stop drinking but One minor inconvenience and The bottle is back in my hand.
You say "I'm constantly trying to stop drinking". What steps are you taking to stop? Honest question, I'm just curious what you're doing to help yourself with this, no disrespect intended.
I get this, I was like you not so long ago and it's incredibly difficult to break the habit. It might not seem like a big deal yet because you haven't seen the negative effects this can have on your body, but please keep trying o stop if you really want to. Just try to take one day at a time and your body will e grateful to you for it in the future. Might want to remove yourself from as much toxic influences as possible and try to substitute your time with something else you might like doing
I was in the same boat as you til I got in trouble and lost just bout everything I had left now starting from scratch but that was the only thing that could have made me quit
Great video! Could you do a video on psilocybin and what it does to the body and brain and maybe also include microdosing and what does it do to the body and brain? Interested in learning more about that. Thank you for your amazing informative videos
I cut back from my early years in the army. Cut liquor out completely and am a daily beer drinker. I drink tons of water and exercise often I'm doing pretty well from what I can tell.
Makes me so glad I quit. over a year sober now. I used to drink like 15+ drinks a night, multiple times a week, would get blackout, take off my pants, wander the streets, get thrown in the drunk tank. Cant imagine the havoc ive done to my body... ah well...
I have a friend who's an alcoholic. I care for him a lot, he knows he is an alcoholic but he refuses to seak help because "he has it under control". He has a very self-destructive behavior in general terms so he pushed me put of his life. It's just sad looking at all of this
Hard thing is an addict yes an alcoholic is still adn addict well they will only quit when they’re ready and wanting to quit and ussually that only happens when they get in big trouble , hitt rock bottom o lose a loved one who was an addict as well
I can personally attest to the power of drinking water.. Sober for a good while now, but was told by the doctors if it wasn't for the fact I drank so much water on a regular basis I'd probably be dead by now..
i used to drink fairly regularly (british teenager style) then one day i suddenly just hated it out of nowhere and now i have no desire to drink, weird
Never drank strong boze but that one time i drank 9 shots some beers and 7 vodka/redbull mixes. No hangover but whole body felt numb for 4/5 days DO NOT DO THIS Also for the ones that struggle you can do this one day at a time!
18 days zero alcohol. Doing dry January. I will be at 40 days then. It seems life is much clearer and less stressful days. I hope to go much longer with no alcohol
Interesting. you should do one on what your brain does in physical addiction in the craving leading up to drinking and filling that craving i.e. why cravings can be so powerful
@@LilBrujoFH18 Things are called a poison when only a small amount can have a really bad effect. Alcohol is definetly a poison. You don't need to choose your poison, because poisonous substances aren't meant to be consumed. Alcohol and drugs are poisonous, and consumed anyway. You don't need to take any poison.
When I drink with friends at the bar I stop after 3 drinks and switch to red bull but have it poured in a drink glass. No one knows I do it and I'm usually sober by the end of the night.
I used to be and addict but after nearly die from cirrhosis I finally stop. It was a good run but it was killing me physically and emotionally. But now I have no energy no will to live. I used to work while being abit drunk and I work hard as a mule. now I just want to stay home and hope my end come soon. I used to have tons of friends going out hanging with people but now I'm an introvert and can't handle social life. It's been 2 years since my last drink and I still can't really get a real job. It was part of me but it was bad for me.
Been sober for 1 year in August. I am 25 years old. I want to start having a beer here and there, starting in November. I keep reading everywhere it is not worth it. Anybody have any insights around this? Thanks in advance😊 I don't remember the negatives of drinking since it has been so long. I wish I remembered the bad times, so I wouldn't want a drink.
Sounds strange, but my chronic gastritis puts the brakes on how much I can and how often I drink. It's kind of a blessing in disguise. Yes I'm an alcoholic, but the fear of severe pain and nausea of gastritis is just not worth it .
Not even going to lie, I enjoy times when me and all my friends are gone after shots pregaming before going out. We always have a good time but I always make sure to take almost weeks worth of breaks before I start drinking socially again, dont want to become dependent on it for a good time.
Honestly, as controversial as it may seem, I don’t think alcohol is such an awful thing. Yes it is technically poison and overdoing it can be detrimental to your health and relationships, but that’s why you don’t let it get too far. Definitely eat and drink water each time, and don’t abuse it to the point where it’s a severe problem. I am 21 and drink occasionally (I try to limit myself a couple times a week). It’s definitely fun to drink with friends and have occasionally parties, but please take care of yourself and don’t drink to the point of blacking out. My limit to my body is 4 shots total, mixed or not. If I do a fifth it’s a bit too much for me and I crash quickly, along with a slight headache in the morning. Don’t be afraid to try it at least one, but please do not binge drink or do it everyday. And for the love of god, do not drink and drive.
The reason for you having wierd dreams when u have been drinking a lot is because you cannot enter rem-sleep for most of the night because of the alcohol. Then when the alcohol levels is low enough for the brain to enter rem-sleep it tries to "make up" for the rem-sleep you missed earlier the same night, making the dreams more vivid and intense.
Well, This is the problem with ppl, drink excess and regret later. I have been drinking from past 10 yrs and even I have gone through the stages. Ultimately realised drinking once in a week (3 pegs) on a weekend gives me a lot of relief from stress and also I enjoy my drink. So it's really important to learn the art of drinking 🍻🍷...
Having been a moderate/heavy drinker for 7 years and feeling the effects on my body and some recent health scares, this video is just that much more of a motivator to finally quit, which I'm on day 4. Wish me luck and if you're in a similar situation, prayers to you.

I began drinking at the age of 13, but I started drinking heavy at 15/16, and I would drink every weekend, or sometimes even every other day. At times I would binge drink with my friend's at the time, and we'd stay up until 9am sometimes until 1pm just drinking, and doing blow. Anyway God Bless you all, and I hope you all stay safe, and live a long healthy life 🙏🏻
as someone from the UK that is rookie numbers. heavy drinking but only on the weekends ? i think maybe your a light weight coz not saying it’s a good thing but at the age of 6 i had a half bottle of wine and i thrrew up just once and ever since when i drink i havent had any problems at all and considering that was half a bottle of wine at the age of 6 that’s decent
im very proud of you keep going
Your life man you're the one that's going to go through whatever illness when it finally catches up to you 🤷🏻♂️
Smoking anything is bad for your health.

Hi ☺️ how are you today? Did the legal problems all work out? Police can be so dramatic.
I'm female and used to drink men under the table. I'm also an alcoholic. 49 days sober. One day at a time.
37 years of alcohol and drugging. 6 months sober thanks to AA. I am 48
yeah, me too it’s sad. especially bc i’m 110 lbs
11 months sober as of yesterday, it gets better! Make sure you get proper meds tho if you need them, otherwise it can get messed up
Take the edge off
I stopped drinking after I was roofied back in March.
2 weeks sober and hoping for many more 🙏
Ive ruined every relationship Ive ever had in my life because of alcohol. Drink in moderation people, dont be like me.
If I wrote down everything bad that's happened to me I can relate it all to alcohol
Man, same here. I was thinking about that this morning.
I was well on my way. Somehow I just stopped. Weed helped and under NO CIRCUMSTANCE should an alcoholic go cold turkey without a medical professional but I know you guys can do it!
At the same time, I’ve meet new people while drinking. Double edge sword.
Me too 100 %
I'm a sober alcoholic.

Congratulations on being clean of alcohol for so long. May any craving you have today and in the future dissipate immediately.
I quit drinking around late 2021 to early 2022 and this video makes me glad I did. Reminds me of the effects and health risks and that’s my motivation
the problem is that when you started drinking, probably it was with the wrong people, that motivated you to often ignore the warning mention 4min in the video...
for me that is a signal to take a few cokes or waters so i don't get into the drunk stage...
only been drunk in the pas 20 years, i think i can just about count those times on one hand, and almost all were as 20isch student , when you tend to test your limits.
once you have tested your limits, just listen to those warning signs,
but i fear you were badly guided into alcohol and are to preprogrammed now to ignore those warning so good you probably barely notice them.. so probably safer to stay off alcohol...
@@JeroenJA yes badly guided. I believe that is a major issue. A lot of our parents don’t really teach us about alcohol. To think about it, alcohol is in almost every household. If not, it’s affiliated with a family gathering, party or just family member that drinks or friend occasion.

Wtf is a mule ma brodda
Been sober for 1 year in August. I am 25 years old. I want to start having a beer here and there, starting in November. I keep reading everywhere it is not worth it. Anybody have any insights around this?
Thanks in advance😊
I don't remember the negatives of drinking since it has been so long.
Yeah same here
...I'm drunk rn and got curious. I regret my life choices.
after I drink alcohol I can't walk and stand up
Drinking is widely socially accepted like smoking was in the 70s, until we started talking more about the harmful effects.. great video!
Lately every time i drink, i get in trouble so im done drinking 🤣
Ive got 2 1/2 years sober and give Jesus all the praise for saving me!
I left my kids dad cuz he was an alcoholic and it made him very controlling and narcissistic and well...one can only take so much of that 💩 right?!?!
SLAY.
Not even going to lie, I enjoy times when me and all my friends are gone after shots pregaming before going out. We always have a good time but I always make sure to take almost weeks worth of breaks before I start drinking socially again, dont want to become dependent on it for a good time.
Watching this with a hangover 😩😂
Trying to stop drinking for a few years now. I pray one day I’ll stop for good but I don’t drink that much and cut down. I only drink once a week
Time to use this knowledge to my advantage
Alright even though I have been told many times to not drink this makes me not want to do it even more
I thank the almighty god that I don’t drink. As the bad outweighs good greatly. May the almighty keep us steadfast and stay clean.
Me watching this video before heading out for a drink night 🤣🤣🤣
Well, This is the problem with ppl, drink excess and regret later. I have been drinking from past 10 yrs and even I have gone through the stages. Ultimately realised drinking once in a week (3 pegs) on a weekend gives me a lot of relief from stress and also I enjoy my drink. So it's really important to learn the art of drinking 🍻🍷...
